I have had a Disney dx model scan & cut in the box for 1 year. Thank you for your videos I’m using it now. Thank you for teaching us how to use scan & cut!
Courtney, thanks for the 411 on the tools, would you please expand on this video and show how to apply product to the larger scan n cut mats, I am struggling with working with the 12x24 mats. would you also please do a tutorial on how to use words on vinyl, and transfer them to the final product, both heat and pressure. I have become a swearing sailor and would like to get to first grade on my scan n cut
Hi Margueritte. I used the 12x24 mat when we made the Santa Treat board on our channel. I hope it helps but if you have any questions I'm here to answer. Us sailor need to stick together. We have a few videos on the channel with vinyl. The Santa Treat board we used pressure sensitive vinyl and the ScanNCut Working with HTV vinyl we used heat transfer vinyl. You got this and I'm here to help!- Courtney
I started with the CM350.. so loud and I'm glad Brother has great technology now. I love my new Artspira app connected to my SDX230DX and My NQ1700E.. thanks Brother!!!
I bought the original SNC when it was introduced around 2013. I now own a DX model. I can't understand why anyone would still be using a CM model anymore. Maybe just for the scanning?
Rena we are so happy this was helpful for you! There are many accessories on our website. www.allbrands.com/categories/3947. Also be sure to register on canvasworkspace.brother.com/en for even more inspiration!
Thank you for your amazing videos ! I am trying out different stuff to cut my applique out on a velvet fabric , so far I did not succeed , after the blade passes a third time , the fabric is crumpling up and messing up the fabric . Do you have any suggestions ?
I just got my Scan N Cut SDX125E and I am learning quite a bit about it. I have the Babylock Altair, which uses PES files. How can I use the Scan N Cut with my Altair??
The SDX85 can not scan in a 24" like the SDX325 of sdx330. The design screen is also smaller and the scan isn't as good. It also doesn't have built in quilt blocks or built in draw designs. Less overall designs and fonts. It can not use the new rotary blade. If you are wanting to do any of that then I would look at a different model. - Courtney
@@allbrands1976 I see! I haven't done all my research. What's a good one for a beginner that has most features? I'm interested in printing something and getting it to cut precise size mostly, but would wanna use the pen tools and such too
The newer version is improved with leader sheets for easier feeding and end to end cutting of heat transfer vinyls and sticker vinyls. I hope that helps! Barbara
@@sheldaschimmel4970 The first version does not have the autodepth sensing blade, so has to be adjusted each time. There is also more accessories available for the dx models. If your CM is working for you by all means please keep using it.
If paper or cardstock should not be used on the standard matt then why do they include the starter project with it in the box? Now I have the whole blue cardstock outline on my brand new standard matt.
I’ve never used my machine. I’ve owned it for probably three months maybe longer I’m wanting to do some cutting of numbers that out of vinyl that we can put on the mailbox could you tell me what video I need to look at? Thank you. My name is Karen Geick.
I use a dry paper towel when wiping down my mat. Make sure to get all the Totally Awesome off the mat then leave it to dry with out its cover. Happy crafting- Courtney
Hi! Yes My connection now works between the SDX325 or SDX330D on the XP3, XJ1, and XE1 models. You will need to install the free update your machine to get it to work. I hope this helps! Barbara.
Thank you so much for your vids. They have been so helpful!!

I have the SDX330 and looking for videos on using pens
Hello! I have an sdx125, can I use the deep cut blade or the auto vinyl blade as well with my machine or can I only use the auto blade it came with?
I'm thinking about buying one which one should I get for beginners
Hi Donna. I would recommend the SDX325 unless you want Disney designs built in then the SDX330. - Courtney

I'm super new. I only found out these things exists. Is the SDX85 model good? I am seeing it $100 off at various places.
