I like Gshocks but that mod takes it up a level.

Definitely love that mash-up. Casioak was definitely on my list to get from holiday money ... I was looking at the gray version but hmmm that looks stunning.

I have two GA-2100 Casioaks, the stealthy all black variation…terrible legibility, but it just looks so cool 😎 and the more recently introduced “official” metal cased/capped version…it was a toss up between the silver and blue. I went for the former in the end, just another great looking variation. And as the indices are finely striated on that one, under the light, their tops glimmer and flash in a rainbow of colors. Which came as a very pleasant surprise, I was not expecting that.

I have always liked the watch but the plastic case has always put me off but what a difference with the mod, like the way the screws are all lined up on the bezel

The silver case in Aliexpress is arround 85 usd, and casio 2100 for 110usd,,total arround 200 usd

Thanks for a great video. Noticed your version seems newer version compared to YoureTerrific video and Jinshu picture in their webpage.
The reason i'm saying this, because, it seems your version have smaller gap clearance between the bezel and bottom body; almost flush between the top bezel and body. another aspect it's the angle of the chamfered edges on the bezel seems more slanting compared to in Jinshu webpage which seems more straight.
So it true? Or is it due to camera angle when you're shooting this video?

The best ones are the gen4 kits, as they dont have the silly fake crown on the side, but fully intergrated case & strap.

Bought one and didn't like. I have a 6.75 inch wrist and it didn't fit. Way too long lug to lug. Despite what the vid says the bracelet flairs out. It's not angled down enough. Looks great but not really wearable for smaller wrists. Love the plastic case though.

Great review! Nice looking mod but let down by the bracelet. A butterfly clasp without any micro adjustments or half links means it will be a poor fit for most people, I'll pass.

I have several G-shocks and would like to add a Casioak to the collection. I just got a square stainless steel, and this Casioak looks awesome! But I will wait until these get tough solar. I don't understand why Casio still have not made even Casioaks with tough solar.

even from the video and picture, u would noticed the finishing quality between this Jinshu vs aliexpress version is quite different. observed the polished edges at the bracelet. those aliexpress/hantao version does not fully cover the button, at the body it have few angular looks/groove; from top view, u can observed the buttons protrusion. This jinshu have better coverage on the buttons (from top view) and it's grooveless.
hantao = USD60-70.
jinshu = USD 140 (without watch)>
i found in aliexpress, G-refit version (G-refit watch part store) which have new 2022 version of CasiOak. looks better than hantao/those 3rd gen mod kit BUT it lacks of genuine review yet and long with live pictures.
You don't have to mod it by your own, it's available ready to wear here in Indonesia such as online shop: matchwatch or indowatch.
