That blue and silver one was beautiful! I've been on the fence about the CasiOaks precisely because of the low-contrast indices, but now that I know I can just swap them out, I'm giving the whole range a much closer look.
Love SKXMOD, I did their Royale mod and it was much easier than I expected, quality of the parts were insane and it was a really enjoyable build all together

That black and orange looks great! Considering it’s significantly less expensive than a factory model AND you get the fun factor of modding your watch to your specific tastes, what’s not to like? The faux crown is a miss, but otherwise it looks like they nailed it with these kits.

Great video as usual, Dave. Ok, the price for this mod is a quite hefty (but watch mods were always about getting a unique cool watch and losing money in the meantime lol). Never the less, that black version looks totally amazing. Those orange details and the structure on the dial are really great details.

Real nice, i prefer the all black, it looks really good, the blue looks good to but it's not really a colour i embrace, but kudos to you for doing the work, i think i would be a little intimidated by taking it on myself.
I like the Blue one better, however would love to see it in RED and also the Black one with Green hands and indicies. Either way they pay Homage to the AP royal Oak and also POP. I think you have a hit on your hands.

Pretty cool. My only reservation is the overall size. These G-Shocks aren't exactly compact in width to begin with, so you're basically stuck with what?.. 42mm case minimal.. coupled with the fact that it's an integrated bracelet design, it will likely wear even larger or wider visually. If you have the wrist size and shape or don't mind it may seem a little overbearing on wrist, it's a pretty cool mod that gives most of that AP RO vibe if that's your jam... For a relatively affordable price range.
Agree, would have preferred some logo or branding on the dial instead of sterile Does Seiko Mods have a logo? Idk?. Even using the name"Seiko", even if different font style, could be copyright infringement. Personally, I wouldn't care. But, Seiko might.. perhaps why "Uncle Seiko" straps changed his b and to just "Uncle" Straps now.
These look fantastic. I especially liked the silicone blue strap combo. It is true these mods cost more than the watch. I’m not a fan of the original strap so I might give this a go.
HATE FAKE CROWN on that case mode. I know they offer one without it but really it's like getting your car wrapped in a cool color and the guy says, hey, it comes with a fake tailpipe too.

Ugh. I've always been conflicted over this model. It's so overhyped. Yes I own one. No I don't love it. The case shape is fine. The screen looks bad. If it didn't have the screen, I would ADORE this watch. That being said - that is a damn fine mod.

It looks good, but there is a reason to buy a G-Shock… you want a cheap rugged beater with tons of functions. Here you en up with a hommage that is not rugged and that you are afraid to scratch.

I don't understand modding. G-Shocks are wonderful for cycling, working out, and monitoring the body. Wouldn't the mods make it heavier and uncomfortable?
the rubber straps are more wider as the case, thats why I dont like the quality of those straps

Seeing a crown that serves no purpose just looks dumb, NOT having a crown improves comfort significantly at times, so why add it?.

TBH, the hour markers look like cheap plastic. Maybe using get metal GM2100 markers would be better. And the offshore-like links look flat and stiff. Real AP links are round and smooth with some depth in it. additionally, if you look closely at the stainless steel finish of the case, the finishing is uneven, not smooth like gen AP lol. Overall, the casioak offshore looks nice but it has pretty obvious flaws.
for the black casioak, it looks really nice. however, it doesn't look like real black ceramic. instead, it's just stainless steel, and it will scratch easily. the dial looks decent but could be better. Maybe SKXmod should get some help from JF factory lol

I made this mod and it's been great. That all black is sleek and suprisingly it has withstood normal bumps and scrapes against walls/door corners. Great video!
I wish you could just add the movement to the case to cut size and not be this big case
I think they just came out with a new version of the mod that lets you do exactly that.

Why stupid Crown!!! Mods themselves are questionable - you can get a metal GM2100 with resin strap replace it with an aftermarket (100 percent identical to original) metal bracelet. And by the way - while crown is very, very stupid - the case with non functional screws also is stupid - less stupid - but still very stupid. Haven,t you thought that case which pretends to be a Royal Oka like - is stupid. There is a reason why Casio - doesn,t make it,s GM2100 NOT with a case with screws? Making these mods to look like Royal Oak - is like buying a fake Rolex from gypsies - which even does not look like one. Design of GM2100 is very complete and very good quality. But ... tastes differ. I can understand.
