A couple of things to note: 1. It looks like there is a new version of the case without the crown. Which is they way I would go, fake crown is pointless. 2. Not every mod part is compatible with the newer Solar / Bluetooth version of the CasiOak. The GA-B2100. SKXmod can tell you more but pay attention when ordering if that's what you want to mod out.

If I remember correctly your fellow TH-camr from Down Under Peter Kotsa has a video on that one. I also modded my (black) Royale, the same way you did, only I went for the rubber strap. Something I applaud: Given I've got two AE1200's, I might go for that mod on my silver one. They also make so called face plates for the Royale: I suggested they leave out the mentioning: '10 year battery'. In my opinion that is something you write on the packaging, but not on the watch itself. I think Casio made a cosmetic mistake there and in my opinion this is one of the things mods should allow for: correcting design flaws. If you agree, please tell 'em 🙂. They probably listen to you rather than me, a simple consumer without a youtube channel. When I say 'they', I 'm not even sure I'm talking to a robot or a human being: Their (or its??) The look with the new textured dial is cool but you're right that without the branding the dial just seems too unbalanced. But the weight on bracelet to me would be the problem. That's getting up to Seiko Samurai weight. I would only do the basic case mod, leaving the dial alone and use the rubber strap. My Casio Royale mod is good for me.
Agree something needs to fill in that negative space where the branding should be. Maybe they could offer custom logos? Also, could you install the case without that useless extra caseback? Make it a bit lighter and thinner maybe?

I picked up the GA2100 stealth snd although I love the blacked out look, it's way too damn hard to read. I just need the hands changed out... If anyone can offer some guidance, I'd much appreciate it!
Great video, mods not for me would go for a metal version of the std case & a bracelet At the moment I’m happy with just putting a composite bracelet on the std case.

Hi i really do not see the point in moding these watches you bye them original for what they are just great watches tough and 200m water resistant messing with them reduces all this.as always a great watch.
It really does defeat the purpose of these watches... Yet oftentimes modding isn't a logical thing. In fact you often loose money when you mod a watch, as most people won't want to buy it after some amateur has tinkered it. Most of the times moders love to do it, just to do it.

@@m_xx989 I believe they sell the tools, but they aren't included when you just buy the hands. As for water resistance, it's a tricky question. Anytime you touch the inside of a watch, you are potentially impacting the water resistance. Even just changing out a battery. If you don't put the seal back right, it impacts it. So always be wary of that. Now officially SKXmod doesn't test water resistance with their modded parts, but I'd be surprised if it affects it too much. As you are using the same seal and case back that came with the watch. So personally I wouldn't worry about it in day-to-day use, or the occasionally dip in the pool. But if you do frequently swim with that watch on, probably better to leave it stock.
Not my cup of tea I’m afraid. I like my GA2100 because on the resin it’s light, and comfortable to wear. I also don’t understand why the need to put a fake crown on the case. I also like that the GA2100 has the words “G Shock” and “Casio” on the dial.
@@watchalot919 I feel you. I didn't like them as well. However after some years of collecting automatics I now have a solar box as well. I got some solar rc Casios. But dude especially have a look at some Citizen watches like the EcoZillas esp. the green one, AltiChron etc. They are heavy and look amazing. They only miss rc. With Casio they are mostly resin based. But f.i. you get the updated 5610u with solar and rc for 70€. I avoid the watches that don't have solar or rc but there are some retros like the A168 that are so cheap and look good. I wanna build a Ripley double A100 some time.

Actually the older versions don't have the crown. Gen 4/5 have the crown.
I like it. Definitely the dial is needed to complete the look, unlike other mod kits. It looks great on the rubber strap.

Putting the movement back in one or more of the pusher wouldn't work. Adjusting the movement I broke the light off, on 2 watches. Any suggestions...😢
