- In today's video, I show you how to change the spark plugs on my C63 AMG 507 Edition (W204). The M156 motor is a very simple engine to work on and you can save hundreds of dollars in labor by changing the spark plugs yourself. It is an easy job but can be time consuming. With that said, I hope this video can help you and guide you in doing this service yourself.

The magnificent M156!
Thanks for taking us through the journey of owning the Edition 507
You’re welcome 👍
Thanks for the Video mate 👏
About to do my S63L in the morning 👍
Thanks for the comment 👍
FYI They all end up having oil in the plug looms 👍🏻 Keep up the good videos. I have owned mine since new in 2013 and still love watching videos. It looks like you have done most of the preventive maintenance but while you was in there you should have done the PCV valve & intake manifold gaskets.
great video!!!
Glad you enjoyed!
Bro this is my dream Car ❤️ 🙏
Work hard, work smart, and you’ll make it into a reality 💪💯
Nice bro, I have to do mine now!
Thanks for watching!
THanks for the video! I'm going to attempt this! What was the milage on the car when you did this? Should new coil packs be installed with new spark plugs?
The mileage on the car was 33,000 miles. I didn't have to change the coil packs since they were still in great condition. I would imagine in higher mileage it is ideal to change the coil packs as well. Thanks for watching!
Are denso good to use?
For the negligible price difference, I’d use the NGK brand. They’re OEM and high quality.
i don't know if you're gonna see this comment but will the check engine light come on if i change the spark plugs ? thank you
If you install it incorrectly then you'll get a CEL. if you did it right you won't see it.
@@mitokino1 what do you mean incorrectly ?
Oh my god man, those sparks were RIDICULOUSLY overtightened AND cheap. A set of NGK’s are between $75 and $105 depending on where you get them which is already not much. 😳 Those plugs were changed at some point already and the job was done by someone who should NOT have been working on it.
Yup I was absolutely baffled with it.
All is well now thankfully.
