Chief coming to the rescue for Kai was fantastically fun to watch. I love this character so much, he's damn near invincible.

I firmly believe if this show had the right budget behind it, and it also just had one writer (David, because he seems to get it) then we would be in for a real treat
I don't think people understand just how prohibitively high the budget would need to be for this show to truely do it justice. It just wouldn't be viable. We're talking multiple times what game of thrones cost.
That's the issue with SCI FI, you need to use so much CGI and mostly use sets, as there's very little you can film on location, and aliens like the Covenant are alot more expensive than extras in costumes

@@NZClayArtisttoo expensive in with this season which has had a lot of time inside the covenant ships, there’s the flood, apparently suits were remade for the actors, new characters as well like Ackerson, Perez and the arbiter.
So those were kinda the trade offs for other species

I think the budget is as good as it gets, but with better writing this show would've been it.

When she said that I got all excited, and then I scratched my head due to the the fact she picked up a Carbine Rifle. Still cool though but still. USE THE RIGHT WEAPON NAMES, PARAMOUNT!!!

Fun fact: the Spartans were designed to fight human rebels, whom they could have crushed easily, and found themselves fighting the Covenant, against whom they were often overwhelmed.
Overwhelmed is a simplistic overview. There just wasn't enough of them to really tip the favor of the war to the UNSC. When it counted there was an average amount of Spartan-IIs who pulled together and completed the mission when it truly counted, at least to the best of their ability given the fact that all of Humanity itself was overwhelmed.
No. The spartans won almost every engagement they had with the covenant. It was the navy ships that couldn't keep up.
Humans won more ground battles than Covenant, even without Spartans. UNSC ground forces were better than Covenant. But UNSC lost almost every space battle and planets got glassed. Those ground battle wins became useless.

@@yayayoshi1028 Most of their weaponry uses plasma from handheld to ship armaments. The only things that don't is the needler variants, the carbine and majority of the brute weaponry.
Technically..yes. The idea remains though. “Have you ever used one of their weapons?” is what the question essentially is, and then they just grab what they can.
Spi and Spartan armor look so good
This is Master Chief, a man that fights against impossible odds.
There’s a reason he’s known as the demon to the covenant. Notice how Kai drew her gun and then realized that was chief bodying elites like they’re grunts. She knew only the chief could handle 6 elites at once and kill all of them w ease.

Really sucks when the first and last episode are like the only good thing about this show lol. The Fall of Reach being cut down to one episode. All the awesome stuff with the costume, props, music, and action choreo deserve a better TV show, specifically the more consistent writers.
Also 2:43 was peak, love how the combat moves were synched up with the musics.
The first and last episodes are not the only good thing about this show. There's plenty of good stuff between the beginning and end.
The show is already great, especially compared to others in it's category. I think it can benefit from longer episodes or increased episode count in each season so they include more detail. And yes, the fall of reach could've been more epic if it wasn't cut down to one episode. Can't wait for season 3 😊
From what I’ve heard the first and last episode have the same writer (who I think is also S2 showrunner) and 2-7 have various other writers that made them so while yes other episodes are/have good things about them 1/8 are the top episodes because of him but it never made sense why you’d have different writers for different episodes when you are trying to tell a consistent 8 episode story or really any multi movie/episode story and make it consistent. Same issue with modern day MCU but that’s large enough it’s no surprise they can’t get the same few writers on most projects but here they really should be able to when the writer is the showrunner
Season 2 was a banger
All I remember from the first season was two or three action scenes and that was all. Rest was just walking around or talking.

This season was a huge step in the right direction. Would have been interesting to see how this team would have dealt with season1 over the original team which was highly incompetent. Kinda sucks they got a script and were told “this is what you have to work with”. Hopefully the show continues to get better and leaves S1 behind.
Plasma rifle? What? I saw needlers snd a carbine (obviously elites with swords) , but no plasma rifle , you would notice those.
the elites carried plasma rifles on them, u see one holding a plasma rifle and sword while fighting chief. look at 2:48
This is coming from someone who’s old enough to have played halo 1 and read all the books. I was skeptical after the first season but they really subverted my expectations and i found this season to be much more enjoyable. I get the feeling the people hating are unable to enjoy anything because they dont hate the show. They hate themselves. As someone with a full time job and fulfilled life, i just want something to chill out to sometimes.

ngl i find it kinda hate how they went with making spartan 3's just spartan 4's like spartan 3's went through the exact same process as spartan 2's they were orphans turned into super soldiers only difference was the spartan 3 program had stronger augmentations(which in some who fit the old spartan 2 criteria of restrictions made them superior to spartan 2's such as noble team, more importantly noble 6) and all of the candidates survived in fact it seems to be more like odst then any spartan program

spartan 3s are hella wak in this alternate universe. instead of being war orphans who where raised to be super soldiers that where just as good as spartan 2s. just with worse equipment. in this show they are spartan 4s that suck mega D.
I agree they’ve have done the 3s a disservice, but they were not as good as the IIs.
@@DarkRedCape yes they where. All the lore talks about them being just as physically and intellectually on par to Spartan 2s. They were just created to be kamikaze soldiers. Given cheaper gear and sent to die in impossible missions. Most didn’t reach adult hood, since on average they died at 14 and didn’t get much experience against the covenant compared to the 2s. If they were given time to mature and fight in missions that would let them return, they would be just as great as the 2s.
The only thing that separates the 2s and 3s is that Halsey picked children that she viewed as having superior genes. A gene called geas. Every human has it but some more than others. (It was the DNA that the Liberian gave to humanity. All it did was people who had more had better natural instincts to interact with forerunner technology, it didn’t make you superior.)
@@TEXASRUSKI nah, the best of the IIIs could maybe stand up to the IIs but generally the IIs are just a whole different breed. No point in comparing though, they are different tools with different philosophies behind their inception

Dat Perez character is such a waste of a potential interesting character they could develop if done correctly, all she does is become unstable and scream in battle, but let's see wat they do next season
This show definitely had cool moments, just like some of the new Disney star wars shows have cool moments, but at the end of the day 90% of this stuff is watered down garbage and we all know it.
The writing is still awful, but a big improvement from the first season
They really did misunderstand the assignment with this whole series, it's absolutely irredeemable. It needs cancelling

Why would they advertise negative reviews for the show?
Negative reviews are very much so out there but they aren’t gonna make adds that say people think the show sucks
Well if they’re around the age of 24 they’ve experienced the golden years of halo so they 100% don’t think this show is good because it’s not but it has its moments for sure
