China is an amazing destination with a history culture culinary stunning sights daily wisdom efficient convenient transportation system for the world to experience explore both ancient and modern 👍♥️🇨🇳
For those who haven't had much experience traveling in China by train, the massive crowds of tourists can be a bit overwhelming at first. But look at the bright side: at least you managed to catch the train on time, board it, and arrive in Chongqing without too much drama. By the way, you don't need to worry about your personal safety-remember, this is China, not NYC, LA, or Chicago. Chongqing is a well-publicized, 8D, cyberpunk, and tourist-friendly city. I'm sure you will enjoy your time there and have a wonderful experience.
20:00 What you eat is noodles made from sweet potato flour. The security guard opposite is introducing you to the food he eats, called glutinous rice balls, which are balls made of glutinous rice flour with different fillings inside. There are black sesame seeds, peanuts, jujube paste, sweet-scented osmanthus, etc. The spiciest food in China is not in Sichuan and Chongqing, but in Jiangxi. Guizhou, Yunnan, and Hunan also like to eat chili peppers. Every place tastes different.
Great sharing!I wish you two a wonderful time in Chongqing. When you encounter difficulties in China, please boldly ask young people for help. Many of them can speak some English and are willing to help you.
Please don't feel intimidated by the looks of these old streets. It's just older part of the city. You can always trust that these streets are completely safe and normal even at midnight ;)
Chongqing is known as one of the Four Furnaces of China. During this hot summer, I believe you can experience the most authentic Chongqing style. I wish you a pleasant journey in Chongqing.
Chongqing literally means double celebrations. Beijing West is also an enormous railway station. Boarding too early will lead to people packed on the platforms. After sitting down, everything seems to be just fine. Chongqing is located in a mountainous area and for that reason, it was chosen as the wartime capital during WWII.
I think the police officer is having mochi with molten sesame, a very popular dessert in China. I believe you ordered sweet potato noodles, which are more slippery than wheat noodles. Next time, try rice noodles or mung bean noodles; the texture is much better.
Changing a ticket due to missing the high speed train is free of charge for the same day in China. If you miss the train, simply go to the ticket center, and they can transfer you to the next available train for the same day. If you are traveling during holidays, there is a possibility that you might receive a standing ticket for the next available train if all seats are sold out. Please note standing ticket is still same price as second class ticket. If you are taking the last train of the day and you miss it, it will be impossible to change or obtain a refund.
Also, if you missed your train, you can swap one for free within the same day. But if the same train only has 1 run per day, you might have to transit through some other cities.
Tip: When taking the high-speed train, it's best to take the subway directly to the high-speed train station. This way, you can enjoy air conditioning the entire time and avoid the outdoor environment, which is very useful during extreme winter or summer weather.
As a Chinese, it was my first time to go to Chongqing and the navigation showed me the hotel. However, I drove for another two hours to find the hotel location...
For veggies like you, you should try MaLaTang(麻辣烫)in Chongqing, so you can pick up as many veggie food, like toufo, vegetables, mushrooms, noodles, as possible. If you don't want the dish too spicy, you can choose less spicy or no spicy broth. Enjoy it. BTW, because Chongqing is well-known for its 8D setting, it's quite normal even for locals to get lost while using GPS.
The noodles you eat are called "hot and sour noodles", which are more sour and spicy. They are one of the favorite noodles for women. The security guard opposite you recommended the glutinous rice dumplings he eats to you. He hopes you will eat glutinous rice balls the next day. The glutinous rice balls are made of glutinous rice on the outside and sesame and brown sugar on the inside. They are not spicy. delicious.
Enjoy your time in Chongqing! People from there and Sichuan province are known throughout China for being some of the most warm and sociable people. They may not speak as much english due to lack of international tourists compared to cities like Shanghai and Beijing, but they'll make up for it in their willingness to be helpful 😊
Uh, how I miss China! I'm coming back to visit soon! Some YT channels about China are daily posting that China is crumbling, as if everything is bad and scary. Well, I love China and I wish to move there soon. 🙏🏻
China travel tips: 1. Airports are chain stores, fast video. 2.The food in the scenic area is usually two to three times more expensive than the normal price. 3.There are many street food in Chongqing, so you can try more
Chongqing is the only cyberpunk city in China and is worth visiting. I hope you can arrange time to go to Zhangjiajie, which is the filming location of the movie Avatar and is very famous. You will definitely be amazed by your beautiful girlfriend after going there!Tokyo still ranks first with 37 million residents, maintaining its status as the world's largest city; India Delhi and China Shanghai are closely followed in second and third place.
your hotel is located at the old city of Chongqing, So it looks a bit run-down😂but trust me, there is as safe as Shanghai and Beijing. I have lived in Chongqing for 10 years.
Welcome to China! I hope you have a wonderful time in Chongqing. If you encounter any difficulties in China, don't worry, Chinese people are very friendly and always willing to help. If you have the chance, you are also welcomed to visit Hubei, which is very close to Chongqing. Hubei boasts stunning natural landscapes like Shennongjia Forestry District, the Three Gorges Dam, and Enshi Grand Canyon, as well as rich cultural heritage sites like the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan and the ancient city of Jingzhou. Hope you can capture the beauty of Hubei in your videos!
The problem with the 10:00, it's easy to deal with at the station! If it's late. If the destination is still the same place. You'll get a free ticket for the next bus. If you want to change your destination, you'll be charged differently depending on the time of day and the journey. But in either case. Your ticket will not be nullified!
If you don’t like the food on the high-speed train, you can opt for food delivery (e.g., McDonald’s) and have it delivered at the next stop. The crew will bring it to you, and the price is roughly the same as street prices.
there are some very fancy vegetarian restaurants in China, but usually they are expensive. "meat" served there is actually "toufu"豆腐, no meat at all. worth a try, pricey though.
you guys are going to the biggest most crowded cities in china 😅. personally I would not go to chongqing, just an over-crowded megacity with endless rows of apt complexes, but I guess it's still an experience. if you get another chance to visit china, try the smaller cities or ancient towns. you got potato starch noodles which can be quiet slippery 😂. the guy next to you was telling you to try what he is having tomorrow - kinda like mochi balls filled with sesame paste.
Tips for vegies: China has the 2nd largest vegetarian population in the world, about 12% of total population being vegetarians, which is more than 100 million people. At the same time, China has the most varieties of vegetables and fruits in the world. So try more pls

Hi VeggiesOnTour, YQ for sharing such nice videos! And since both of you are vegen or similar, you can save the below wordings in your HP, en-large it & show to person when asking for help. "請問,哪裡有素餐廳. 我吃素" meaning equivalent to "I would like to ask if there is any vegetarian restaurant around? I am a vegetarian". FYI, China has a huge population of vegetarian, just that these vegan restaurants are not on main street or tourist spots but at the back street or near temple.
@@VeggiesOnTour: On remember this symbol, its a chinese character for vegetarian "素", usually in a big sign board, meaning a vegetarian stall /restaurant etc
Thank you for sharing the real China with us. We have had enough of Western lies.
