  • We had the chance to experience the world's fastest train, the bullet train in China.
China's bullet trains are an exciting and amazing experience, but at times can be a little bit stressful... Find out how we got on...
🏨 For all our hotels in China, we booked them through Trip which we genuinely found the best rates on, check out special rates here: trip.tp.st/foe...
🚆 Looking for trains in China? We bought all our trains in China through Trip - it’s not only the most straightforward but it offered the best rates here: trip.tp.st/foe...
📲 the CHEAPEST and BEST eSim company, we've used this brand consistently in China, Europe and they offer deals across the world - they're always half the price of the other eSim brands: mobimatter.com...

We decided to go travelling and ended up living getting stuck in Malaysia during 2020 which spurred the creation of this channel, we're now back on the road after a lengthy hiatus!
We're Malaysian enthusiasts who enjoy discovering spots off the tourist trail and don’t like taking ourselves too seriously. We're not here to be vloggers or to be famous, we're not necessarily here to "inspire" anyone to travel either - just enjoy the spontaneous fun of it, weird situations and of course making local friends.

Considering the language barrier, it is recommended that foreigners arrive at the high-speed rail station 40 minutes to 1 hour in advance, otherwise they may miss the train. China's high-speed rail is very punctual.
Smoking is a bad habit of many Chinese people, but it is slowly improving. Many snacks are dried tofu products, but the taste is different. The strip snacks are spicy strips, made of flour.
For long rides on the high-speed rail, you can use the APP to order takeout (not train food, but provided by restaurants in the next city. There will be a QR code on the seat. You can scan it to order food, and it will be delivered to the high-speed rail after the next stop)

Nah... For the past few years western media have been showing empty train stations and telling the world what a black hole the HSR have been.
No one's supposed to be riding it, no one can afford the tickets since the China man makes 500 usd a year. And the governments building it for show.

  • @DannyChean
    @DannyChean 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

Probably stressful for first time HSR travellers :D Don't worry. For next time - as long as you pass the ticket gate you will be fine. They must ensure everyone gets on before it leaves the station, and 99% of the time, it leaves on time too.
Edit: Have to add that 27:00 you are looking at a mini condom and sex toy vending box. You scan the code and pay, then the lock is released. :D

Your girlfriend is beautiful!...It is understandable that you will be shocked when you see so many people riding the high-speed train for the first time. There are a few reasons why western countries the governments don't want their citizens to visit China.
1st to see all the Chinese super infrastructures.
2nd how China is able to keep the public areas so clean, green and organized.
3th why China is so safe even for foreigners.
4th China has too many people, but the government has solved the problem of the number of high-speed rails. China's high-speed rail is the first in the world, with 42,000 kilometers.

Shanghai Railway Station is the oldest train station in Shanghai. It has a good location but is small in scale and has very limited capacity for trains. Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station is the main hub for high-speed trains and the largest train station in Shanghai. Most high-speed trains depart from Hongqiao Railway Station.

beijing is my least favorite city in china, train to beijing you need double security check, even metro in beijing has passport or id check sometimes, you wanna go to Tiananmen square? ofc security check/passport check, everything is so serious in beijing, hate that. Also beijing doesn’t have a good city management, traffic is bad, hutong area living quality is bad… All other cities are better than beijing. My ex boyfriend and ex girlfriend were from beijing, i had to go to beijing very often, but really don’t like it, also food is bad there too, my ex, a beijing local told me that best beijing food is McDonald’s

My previous flight got delayed and I ran for my life in that city. I still missed the train. It was unfortunate.
