  • PepperBelly brings you a unique video unrelated to gaming in any way. Created by the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM), showcasing the units capabilities which is very, very rare to see. Taken from the CANSOFCOM website located here - www.cansofcom.forces.gc.ca/vid... which has the video, along with more information about the units in CANSOFCOM.
    The video portrays units from the Canadian Special Forces, such as the Canadian Special Operations Regiment (CSOR), Joint Task Force 2 (JTF-2), and the Canadian Joint Incident Response Unit (CJIRU).

      "Give me 10 000 Filipinos and I shall conquer the world."
      -Gen. Douglas MacArthur
      Both men praised the people they were referring to by believing that those men can help them achieve global control, and we should too. No matter what country those men and women are from, we should praise them for their selfless sacrifices instead of bickering about which country is a superior nation or which is inferior.

    Canada's military is a joke? Tell me again, what were the odds at Kapyong during the Korean war? A brigade against a division. We had less than 30 deaths.
    Most efficient in D-Day, held longest sniper kill in Afghanistan and won Passchendaele, Vimy and liberated the Netherlands in WWI and WWII. Not to mention we were there the year it actually started. Also; Canada's never lost a war.
    GGWP.

    • @pleasetredonme
      @pleasetredonme 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That is dumbest argument. Canada fought WW as Commonwealth. Most if not all of its supplies were from Britain same fashion that over 70% of current Canadian supplies (20billion industry-relatively very small in global standing) are from GM USA. And modern Canada only has 15,000 paid soldiers with outdated equipment in small numbers. 161 gen 3 Leopard 2 tanks. You have to realize this is gen4~gen4.5 tank era. top 10 military according to the Global Fire Power report 2013 (USA, China, Russia, India, Britain, France, Germany, South Korea, Italy, Brazil) all have as many as 20times more of jets, tanks, ships than Canada. 161 gen 3 tanks are almost obsolete in modern day. While they are calculating where to shoot, Gen 4 tank has it on lock and shooting it while moving. So you can almost say Canada has no battle tanks. Canadian Navy? non-existence. No destroyer level. Canadian navy is a coast guard with patrol boats. 33 ships for this giant land? lol.Airforce.. this is where it gets really really sad. 300 planes with majority being out of commission F-15 and trainer models of various kind. Most advanced airforces have dedicated fighter jets. Canada put guns on trainers models and use as fighter jets. Not to mention in very very small number. If you wanna talk about how terrible Canadian military is take a look at how recruitment system work. they have basic training for army, navy, airforce all together. That is dumbest thing ever. Can't blame Canada tho. MOst of its 20billion $ budgets are going to paying the US.. So not much money to run legitimate training camps. Also, Canada has no specialized forces like the Marine Corp or Rangers. Canada has very little to no amphibious or airborn capability. Which mean invading let alone defending is practically impossible without NATO supplies. Special forces? Canad aonly has JTF2 as combat ready force. And JTF2 is dedicated to Coutner Terrorism. Which is pretty much the most generic job given to any special forces. Canada doesn't have UDT, SEAL, Combat Control, Recon, Pararescue etc special forces.
      So to summarize it all...
      1. Canada has very small military
      2. Canada doesn't have big enough self-developing/manufacturing military industry
      3. Because Canadian military rely on imports, most of its equipment are outdated or borrowed from the NATO resource
      4. Logistic wise, Canada has none. Canada can't land its force outside of the border without the NATO vessels.
      5. Canada lacks diversified special forces
      6. Terrible terrible recruit system
      7. Your argument with Canada did well i nWW2 therefore is great has giant fallacy. Canada is barely 200 years old. If you want to talk about previous glorious achivements, there are hundreds of countries that can name thousand times more than Canada starting from BC time. Canada did great in WW2. But in very small scale compare to major players in the campaign. Its like in baseball.. a batter hit 2 base run, then next batter hits a homerun. Yes the guy who hit 2 is good, but the major credit goes to the dude who hit homerun. Your argument is only valid if rest of the world was sitting in their couch watching TV while Canada was out there. No, while Canada was doing great, USA, Britain, and other major contributors were doing 10folds more works.

    • @DeNihility
      @DeNihility 10 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Hey, Hey, Hey, They may not be tip-top fancy-pants, but they're still out there. History is still history, and IF a major war ever breaks out again, I'm sure they'll beef up like magic; as they did in WWII.
      As for WWII, we're not like the states with a huge ass ego. We don't stick our dicks out and wave 'em around. We fuck bitches when there's bitches needed to be fucked. (let's put it that way lol). In the 2 years before the states entered the war, we had to carry the team and save the UK's ass from a German invasion and in that time we "practically owned the Atlantic" (quote from somewhere, credit goes to OP) and were the best U-boat hunters.
      "Your argument with Canada did well i nWW2 therefore is great has giant fallacy. Canada is barely 200 years old." ...Because the Roman Empire beat down an entire division of Panzer tanks and an onslaught of Blitzkrieg with their swords and shields. cool story bro. Humans don't change, technology does; and it makes things more complicated. That rebuttal is practically invalid.
      also, age is just a number. Canada existed before 1867 as a colony; and became an autonomous dominion after that. we date back to the 1600's under different names, but we're still the same people.
      Long story short, no. I like your fancy argument that was/I (almost) tl;dr. But it still doesn't work. Nice try.

    • @pleasetredonme

      That can always be changed Let'Volir , YOU HAVE TO WANT TO SUCCEED! We shut down our sniper school for a couple of years in the mid 80's to retool it but that didn't stop a number of us in the 4 primary Regiments from continuing our training so that when it reopened we would be on one of the first courses. Start working towards your goals now! Do not wait and don't look at how big the task is. Take the task and divide it into smaller parts and complete every task over time. When you get a tasking for a 40 kilometer patrol you don't look at the 40 klicks and say oh fuck! You start breaking the patrol into phases to your objective. So too can you do this with with your objective.

      Look kid, I can see that you love your country, but you need to realize, that a lot of what's being said is true. We only have approx 65,000 troops, around 43 naval ships, etc etc. we have a very poorly equipped military. Not with that being said, however, we do have the third best SOF in the world, behind two Chinese SOF teams, and we do provide our troops with better and more efficient training than any other nation in the world. In fact, the training we provide is so intense, the UN has been trying to call us out on in for quite a while, because we're "border lining UN restrictions on human rights"
      All in all, our Forces aren't what you wish, but they're not a bad force by any means

    The reason that people don't know is because Canadian forces are a very small group especially JTF2 with only 300-600 members and only 60000-70000 people in the regular forces. They are also not heard of because they do the mission and get out. Canadian Forces are peacekeepers, making this world a better place and when they leave a country it is always better than how it was originally.

    For those who are wondering, CSOR has mostly been training other militaries (Afghan special forces, Jamaican military and I've also seen an article about them training soldiers in Africa). Articles that I have read state that even though CSOR is a new unit (2006 they were established) quite a few members already have 3-5 deployments to Afghanistan. Other articles state that in recent years they have been trying to increase members of JTF2 and CSOR into the 750-1000 members.

That being Joint Task Forces 2, Canadian Special Operations Regiment, 427 Special Operations Aviation Squadron, Canadian Joint Incident Response Unit. Also the ammount of personal in JTF2 is disclosed information, the government hasnt shared that information, for all we know JTF2's numbers could be bigger but we dont know. Im not familiar with where the 20 Billion is being outsourced to as I dont know about that. 1 thing I think Canada needs to fix is its recruiting, yes we have a decent amount of troops although we have a military thats fit for thousands more. Im enlisting as well as some buddies from school but I think the government has to do a better job on getting the word out. Once we have more troops that allows us to purchase more equipment thus growing our military strength. That being said we have a good, well trained, capable military right now, but I think it could be more. Canada is the 2nd largest country in terms of size after Russia, why dont we work towards our military reflecting our size?!

    I see your point, but shedding more light is the opposite of what these kind of units need/want. The secrecy works to their advantage. as for being made fun of by other countries. That is only the civilian population of some. Any country whos military we work with respect us and with good reason. Don't let the words of the ignorant and uninformed get to you. This is a really good recruitment video, probably one of the best i have seen

  • @KNOTHEAD765
    @KNOTHEAD765 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think it's time that Canada's special forces have a little more light shed on them. The reason we are made fun of by other country's ( but mainly COD players that don't know anything ) is because they don't know US, we need more light shed on JTF-2 CSOR CANSOFCOM. And I think this video is a good start, shows what we can do and our gear. Canada FTW! We have the best trained soldiers, best tactics, and it's time more of the world knew that.
