Its widely known that the SAS is one of the best if not the best special forces in the world with only a couple other special forces being on par with them (KCT, KSK, GIGN, GROM, CAG, SFL mainly these [the first 3 being more on par with SAS then the last 3]). CAG literally based their training on the SAS Training. And CAG got trained by SAS and KCT for years.
The SBS is the pinnacle of special forces. They are all good units but the SBS have so much continuation training and heightened fitness requirements to work in the water with their tactics. Absolute awesome unit and 90% still come from the Royal Marines
Me also...I remember teaching a Canadian MP trainee the proper handling of a firearm. 24 yrs old, he had never touch any firearm. He was both amazed and horrified at how much he didn't know about them. I hope he is still around.
Yes, I had Canadians, Brits and Americans working for me in Afghanistan and the Brits and Canadians tended to be more alike. The Yanks were off on their own planet most of the time. They just did their own thing an damned the consequences. The Canadians and Brits were more thoughtful.

Numbers does not equal quality but numbers will always overcome quality in the end which is why your armed forces is built how it is but on smaller sample sizes like comparing special forces the US gets absolutely bodied by at least a handful of other ones the training is less broad and the selection process’ at least were harder I think you’ve basically got the same one as the SAS now

I disagree.. we have 100% the best trained soldiers in the world, and every foreign military that comes and trains with us would agree. But unfortunately, we are very badly equipped compared even to some third-world militaries. It's a shame, but our politicians don't care and don't see the value in our own military anymore
I have taught special forces people. I have found them to fall into two categories . One group is disruptive and a pain to work with and the other are helpful , reliable and a pleasure to work with . Just my observation.
The difference is whether you want people to know… you send one when you want the world to take notice… you send the other when you want no one to notice. Some are there for the squeeze; the others are there for the juice…. But you absolutely need both.
CAG has the same amount of books and stuff. It’s just SEALs are easier to market. You can find dozens of CAG interviews just like you can find Dozens of SEALs. Rob O’Neil is the only one that just loves loves loves to talk about deployment

I disagree. In fact, the last 20 years have shown that SEAL Team 6 and Delta Force truly are the world's best special forces units. The Americans have killed more High Value Targets and rescued more hostages than all other special forces units combined.
