For all those who complain about the current kit (and there are silly issues with supply - they he been identified & will be fixed for rollout of CADPAT 2.0) -- but just be glad you weren't in back in the day of olive drab kit. Now THAT was 'old'

Do their uniform and comfortable weapon make sense if they didn't see real battles? Why Canada need own special forces? Look at Ukraine battle... All special forces go down to the level of 1WW sitting in tranches... But video is nice, it's true ))
You forgot about unsymmetric warfare; not in every conflict are tons of tanks and long range artilleries - spec forces are exellent in areas like Afganistan was, for example (or as counter-terrorist units).
You are so wrong. How do you think Ukrainian units have been so effective at targeting Russian units, high ranking flag officers, providing intelligence to Ukrainian higher-ups, and most visually - blowing up Russian ammunition depots & supply depots well behind Russian lines. (Sometimes more than 50km to 75km behind Russian lines.) Who do you think keeps blowing up all those bridges, making it impossible for the Russians to send any heavy armour to reinforce troops in the south? Or blew up some of the rail lines so Russia could not easily send more equipment & manpower? This war will be won most likely by conventional means. Tanks, troops, artillery, and lots of press. We are looking at the next Kosova style peacekeeping operation here, after all. (Assuming Russia leaves the land habitable & stops shelling the damn nuclear plant...) But make no mistake, wherever the spear is thrown there IS a shadow traveling with it. Even at the tip.

CJIRU is a part of cansof. They aren’t regular force.

NTOG isn’t SF. They are an elite unit don’t get me wrong.. but you should have thrown CJIRU and CSOR in there.
Alway Forgot The CSOR, Canadian Special Operation Regment.
