Tip #1 for beginner travelers to Japan: Unless you're always "in the know", you don't have to wait 3 hours for good ramen. It's one of the most competitive market, and shops close and open everytime. Chances are, wherever you go, you'll probably eat better Ramen than what you can get anywhere else outside Japan.
Random ramen places in Japan, and Michelin star ramen places outside of Japan. There's literally hidden gems everywhere in Japan, going to a Michelin star place is a waste of the plane ticket in my opinion
Can’t agree more. My biggest regret during my Japan trip was waiting 3 hours for Nakiryu, another Michelin star ramen. The ramen was great, but definitely not worth the 3 hours. The only time anywhere was worth the wait is if they have an online queue so you can do other stuff in the area. Otherwise just find yourself any local ramen place and you’re almost guaranteed great ramen
Thats so generic. The 3 hour wait is for the michelin star one. No shit theres gonna be ramen places. You are just trying hard to sound smart. "Haha you should be in the know" "Haha there's other places to eat this famous dish"
Michelin stars don’t mean shit about the restaurant other than the tire dude made this a destination restaurant so everyone would obsess over it because they liked it. There are amazing restaurants that don’t hold stars. Waisting 3 hours for ramen is insane.
