    Super foot Bill Wallace ! A real Bad Ass! He won full contact fights and NON contact tournaments! He injured his right leg. Take notice he mainly fought with his LEFT leg; He was truly a world champion of all times in Karate!

    I first saw Superfoot in April of 1977 on ABC’s Wide World of Sports. He defeated Emilio Narvaez. I’ve been kicking ever since. Whenever I need a boost of enthusiasm, I watch one of his fights. My favorite is his and Joe Lewis exhibition. Thank you for posting this.

    Bill Superfoot Wallace is a living Legend ,,, Martial Arts Royalty of America and the World,, from an era of humble men,like Joe Lewis and Chuck Norris,,they are the standard of what Martial Arts is about,,.

    In a life and death situation, you never want to kick above the waist…….. unless you are Bill Wallace, then you can get away with it

    When Bill did his exhibition fight with Joe Lewis I saw a flyer for a local YMCA where he was appearing. I got to spar with him. Actually touched him with a back fist and just as my eyes lit up as I thought I actually tagged Bill Superfoot Wallace I saw his eye then I heard a loud gong. And saw his foot coming down to the floor. It was that fast. Still have one of his books autographed.

    When I met him at a seminar he talked about doing an exhibition fight with Tommy Hearns. He kicked him 37 times in the head in the first 30 seconds. Tommy's manager made Tommy wear headgear. He said afterwards he went around and bought up all the video footage so we will probably never see that meeting. He did say Tommy had the hardest left hook he ever encountered.

    I saw Tommy Carruthers movement in Bill Wallace. What I get from that is I believe that Bill Wallace was an influence to Tommy Carruthers as well.

    Well I'm going to be a disonnance voice here. Wallace has been a cornerstone of combat sports. But talking about him as an earthly living god of fighting is going a bit over the top.
    I've Come across about 100 guys who would take him to dirt in a round, especially in the muay thaï community. And thèse guys aren't even pros.
    Plus his left leg is (was) his asset AND his liability. One knew exactly where the next kick would be coming from. He was so easy to read !
    Putting him on a pedestal in today's Martial arts world is liké saying some long board surfer from the 80s-90s would have a chance taking on Jaws of the big waves at Nazareh.
    The fighting sports world has evolved in a dramatic way since then....

    • @ezrasaya
      @ezrasaya  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I see you aren't very familiar with his style. Everyone said he's easy to read, and how right are they were. Yet read him like a book is all they could do. They knew he'd kick, they just didn't know where, or when. I've yet to see anyone has had the same kicking ability or as good of form. That's not to say there aren't good kickers, that just means they aren't on his level. Interesting how Muay Thai guys are always brought up when trying to discredit him. Interesting because he has sparred many that have tried to kick his leg and stop it, he had answers for it. There was a guy who tried to take him down and wrestle him, he took had an answer for.

    • @abccba1971
      @abccba1971 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ezrasaya too bad we can't set up a fight between Wallace and some random guy at a muay thai bootcamp in thailand. You'd understand...
      Nobody's as good as Wallace at kicking with his left foot for sure ! But this is so minute, so restrictive ! It means nothing in the larger frame of a fight. Probably still works with 80s-90s kickboxing rules against another kickboxer. It won't work in a cage against a muay thai or kyokushin background fighter.

    • @ezrasaya
      @ezrasaya  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@abccba1971 perhaps if you seek out the fighters of those styles whom have tried him, you may find your answer. To say only one leg is restrictive is logical, however the one works good enough. Learn the style with either leg or even both and see if your world changes.

      I guess thats why he was never beaton as a pro because he was so easy to read lol by the way the man can punch .

    • @abccba1971
      @abccba1971 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexmccrorie4195 he’s won against guys who were into kick boxing too. Same style. I would pay hefty amounts of money to see the Wallace from the 80s (I.e. best boxer in the world) fight guys like Buakaw !
      The world of fighting sports has evolved to such extent in three decades, it’s mind blowing ! It’s like comparing Jimmy Connors to Rafael Nadal ! Makes no sense to me, as much as I loved Connors’s style.

    • @ezrasaya
      @ezrasaya  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      He can kick with his other leg but doesn't as it sometimes the knee would pull out of place. If he did slow kicks he could with his right as he still had good flexibility and form.
