Well, it depends on various conditions like the placement of the modem, ISP and etc. Plug it in USB 3.0 instead of 2.0 will help the speed too. Sorry for the late reply!

I just bought this because my cheap unbranded usb nano device was constantly powering off and forcing me to unplug it and plug it back in to reconnect, only to have it do it again later. I hate having to use WiFi instead of running a direct cable, but in my unique situation, running a cable is not an option for me. One thing I like about this vs my old cheap one, is that this one saves my wifi login password. My old cheap one would require me to put in the password again, any time i switch USB ports and only worked on the USB 2.0 speed. It seemed the cheap unbranded nano one was overheating, so i put heatsinks on it to help, which kept it from getting too hot, but it still constantly shut off. Luckily I was able to get this TP-Link Archer T4U from a local store on sale for $30+tax. I could order a higher speed one for $60, but they don't even currently offer internet fast enough to max out this one.
Before Rosewel RNX-N180UBE 10-24Mbps down/20-25Mbps up and now 90-100Mbps down/24-25Mbps up and that plugin 2.0 usb. Setup Arris SB8200 with ASUS RT-N66U and 150Mbps down and 20Mbps up internet service. Easy setup I down load the driver and plug.

There are many factors that can cause this problem. Distance is the major one, make sure to stay closer to your modem and router when you are using. Also, make sure your router support dual band if not it will only connect to 2.4Ghz. Cable it will always be superior that wireless, take note on that.

I have had it for a month I believe and it suddenly just stopped working, I've tried with and without the tp link driver and when I firstly plug it in and speedtest it, most of the time it works fine very stable 220-250mbps download and around 40mbps upload, but then if I test it a couple more times, it goes up to 200 download and then goes down to 0 and shoots up for a second and then fixes on 20 and so on and then when it comes to upload it goes up to 40 and then it freezes and cuts to half and then frezzes and its very unstable, when I play warzone on it I constantly lag and have 400-900 ping and my game freezes too

i have a question. between the ac1300 usb model or ac1300 pcie card model, which one do you prefered? mainly for gaming and i am using my phone as hotspot.
For the range ac1300 pcie card model is better than the usb model. For convenience wise, the usb model is better since you can easily unplug and plug it into other devices. If you are using a desktop pc then go for the pcie but if you are using laptop then your only choice is the usb model.
I'm currently using a cheap dual band wifi adapter from China. The speed is good. I got around 90mbps from my 100mbps internet but I always experience sudden lag. So do you ever experience that with this wifi adapter? Thinking of getting this if it doesn't have any issue
Sorry for the late reply. For my case, I only experience sudden lag once awhile maybe because I'm using it at my PC room which there is wall blocking signal from my router. Not very often lag.

There are many possibilities that cause this kind of problem. It could be the driver issue, it could be the adapter issue and it could be your PC might be got a problem. When using it, sit closer to your router.
Haha thanks, I’m still using it now. It’s not just depends on how fast is your internet package, it’s also depends on how fast is your pc. Before I got a new pc, I got around 5 mbps to 10 mbps when downloading a game but when I switch it to new pc (a lot more powerful than my laptop), I got 10 to 20++ mbps.

Do i need router with 802.11ac compatibilities? It only connects to the router. What is that Wifi 2 ? Can i use it to make access points? so many questions lol. i have tenda n301 802.11n router
Yes you need a router with 802.11 ac in order to use 5Ghz. WiFi 1 is your built in WiFi and WiFi 2 is your archer t4u, if you don’t have built in WiFi it will only show WiFi. I suggest you to turn off your built in WiFi when you use the t4u to avoid two WiFi clashing with each other. The access point I’m not sure. Your router only support 2.4ghz so if you use Archer T4U with that router, it’s kinda waste as it will only connect to 2.4ghz only.
@@JackyYBT so what are pros of using usb adapter rather than being able to connect to wireless connection, does it boost your internet or extends. So like router it must be dual band does that mean that your usb needs to be dual band to connect your pc to 5ghz connection
malle2002 I did mention the pros of using archer t4u WiFi adapter over built in WiFi in the video. It does boost my WiFi courage and speed because my laptop doesn’t support dual band and my router is at first floor while I’m at my bedroom using it. Yes, in order to use dual band your WiFi adapter and router must support dual band in the first place.

Your PC will only show Wifi if you only use the Tp-link Archer T4U AC1300, in my case I plugged into my laptop so it shows 2 Wifi because got built in wifi and the adapter. So ya use wifi 2 if you have the same situation as me.

Hey, That was a Great Review. I have to get a Wifi Adapter since my laptop wifi has stopped working. I use a 300 MBPS connection, should i go for T3U AC1300 or T4U AC1300. Please suggest any help would be appreciated
T3U AC1300 and T4U AC1300 they both have almost the same features except the T4U has an antenna design which supports high gain connectivity, it provides much wider range of connectivity. T3U has a mini design, it’s much more space efficient than T4U much larger design.

Even though they both support 1300mhz 2.4ghz and 5Ghz but the mini doesn’t have a big antenna. So the T4U will be better in term of far distance connectivity because it has a big antenna design.
I use it to play Minecraft with friends, it provides a stable connection but it still depends on various conditions like placement of the modem, ISP and etc.

Bro, i've been thinking of using a direct cable instead(but then realised the internet cable needs to be at least 50m in length) of this but then i decided to research abit and stumbled here on. First i wanna get your thoughts on it. So, first of i live in a condo about 1.4sft. The modem and wifi is located in the living room which in my opinion isn't very far from the 3 bed rooms located near it. However, the wifi signal in my room is horrendous compared to the two other rooms. I suffer to stream 720-1080 vids most of the time (youtube etc) on my phone and the wifi signal is usually bad/slow. Ya your router must support dual band (2.4ghz and 5ghz) in order to use 5ghz
My pc is 5 meters away it goes 20 download speed instead of 100 with that adapter.

It depends on how far between your PC and the router. The closer the better. In my case it’s around 100++

Based of my experience, it's definitely good enough for gaming as long as you are not too far from your wifi router.

Yes you need a router with 802.11 ac in order to use 5Ghz. WiFi 1 is your built in WiFi and WiFi 2 is your archer t4u, if you don’t have built in WiFi it will only show WiFi.
I suggest you to turn off your built in WiFi when you use the t4u to avoid two WiFi clashing with each other. The access point I’m not sure.
Your router only support 2.4ghz so if you use Archer T4U with that router, it’s kinda waste as it will only connect to 2.4ghz only.
@@JackyYBT so what are pros of using usb adapter rather than being able to connect to wireless connection, does it boost your internet or extends. So like router it must be dual band does that mean that your usb needs to be dual band to connect your pc to 5ghz connection
malle2002 I did mention the pros of using archer t4u WiFi adapter over built in WiFi in the video. It does boost my WiFi courage and speed because my laptop doesn’t support dual band and my router is at first floor while I’m at my bedroom using it. Yes, in order to use dual band your WiFi adapter and router must support dual band in the first place.

There are different hardware version. Please make sure you download the right version (V5, V3, V2, V1) check the box.

Your PC will only show Wifi if you only use the Tp-link Archer T4U AC1300, in my case I plugged into my laptop so it shows 2 Wifi because got built in wifi and the adapter. So ya use wifi 2 if you have the same situation as me.

Hey, That was a Great Review. I have to get a Wifi Adapter since my laptop wifi has stopped working. I use a 300 MBPS connection, should i go for T3U AC1300 or T4U AC1300. Please suggest any help would be appreciated
T3U AC1300 and T4U AC1300 they both have almost the same features except the T4U has an antenna design which supports high gain connectivity, it provides much wider range of connectivity. T3U has a mini design, it’s much more space efficient than T4U much larger design.
Avoid tplink! i bought 3 different types of adapters from them in the past and neither could keep a stable connection, they randomly disconnect or drop connection for seconds!!!

Even though they both support 1300mhz 2.4ghz and 5Ghz but the mini doesn’t have a big antenna. So the T4U will be better in term of far distance connectivity because it has a big antenna design.

You can use with USB 2.0 but you will get slower speed because of the USB 2.0 slow bandwidth

Bro, i've been thinking of using a direct cable instead(but then realised the internet cable needs to be at least 50m in length) of this but then i decided to research abit and stumbled here on. First i wanna get your thoughts on it.
So, first of i live in a condo about 1.4sft. The modem and wifi is located in the living room which in my opinion isn't very far from the 3 bed rooms located near it. However, the wifi signal in my room is horrendous compared to the two other rooms. I suffer to stream 720-1080 vids most of the time (youtube etc) on my phone and the wifi signal is usually bad/slow.

TP link archer t6e is better as it’s using PCIe slot to power it, although they are capable of up to 1300 mbps speed.
