I think I heard Metal Gear Solid as well. MGS3: Snake Eater is my favorite game of all time! Oh that is a tough one, I believe as of now, RE2 remake is my favorite. I love them all and have the Platinum Trophy for all of the remakes. However, RE2 stands out the most as the best overall. I have played and beaten it at least 20 times over the years. I hope everyday for an announcement of Code Veronica being remade!! It was the first RE game that I owned and beat 100%@@houseofsten
This popped up in my recommendations, and I'm very glad it did. This was incredibly impressive!! I've replayed REmake and REmake Remastered countless times since it released on GameCube. I've always been terrible at getting achievements let alone 100% games. Not to mention the Jack Daniels bit was hilarious!!😂 Good work man! Definitely going to watch more of your content!

@houseofsten Right now, I'm actually replaying RE0 remaster on xbox and looking at a replay of RE2 on PS1. I've played all the original trilogy remasters, and while they look great, RE3 Remaster was a bit lacking in content. They cut a lot of stuff out. I also played RE7 when it came out and enjoyed it a good deal. It doesn't feel like an RE game to me, though. Haven't gotten to RE8 yet. Have you? I'm sure the JD did help. That death in the labs while going for no saves was frustrating for me. Couldn't imagine how awful that was for you. What games are you playing at the moment??

Granted it didn't say they would get stronger but it did say the zombies will get up again after some time. After reading that I proceeded to go on a burning rampage on bodies. I managed to get about 75% of them before the rest turned. That note saved me SO MUCH HEADACHE lol

This MIGHT make me pick up this game again. The only run I did, I was playing as Jill and had Barry alive for the final fight and the same second I went to shoot the rocket to finish the Tyrant that MF swung at and killed Barry. I didn't think it counted, so I waited for the achievement to pop and looked back at my clip of the final fight. Barry died literally a split second before the cutscene was activated. That was like 3 years ago and I never picked it up again.

I appreciated the additions to the remake after playing the PS1 series and being a complete fanboy of the series. It’s nice to watch a play through of it as I haven’t played since I had a GameCube! Subbed and liked. Keep up the videos bud.
Lol, when i 100% the game, the "Every nuk and cranny" was the hardest achievement to me. I did it last, after knife only, after invisible enemies - because I genuinely thought it's as it says - "VISIT" every place on every map. I got it almost accidentally - I just did a run where I again made sure to visit every room, but looks like I just picked up every item because why not. Only but I hear that I was supposed to pick them.
Yeah the description is so deceptive on the achievement man. I did it on easy and that actually makes it way harder because it gives you way more items to pick up 😂 the fear going to pick up the last item and it not popping is brutal. Good job though! Have you done many other RE games ?
@@houseofsten I only did 0, 1 and 2 remakes. I used to play RE in my childhood - I remember beating RE3 9 times on hard on PS1 to unlock all the epilogues - I guess the classic pre-rendered backgrounds hit my nostalgia, and the new, more action-oriented games just aren't the same.
I almost didn't save right before it as well but my gut instinct just made me do it. thank god haha. the worst part is that Barry was just hard aiming at Lisa for ages as she walked up to him before slapping him off hahaha. Its like he wanted to go to the afterlife
Impressive. Just looked up your gamertag on xbox. 2 playthroughs with Jill. 3 playthroughs with Chris and only 6 deaths in total. For a total playtime of 46 hrs 41 mins. Very impressive.

Crazy haha, he tanked like 3 of Barrys magnums shots before he went down in the cutscene and baring in mind you can kill the last boss with 1 shot using Barrys gun. Maybe this first zombie is the most alpha zombie of them all
i had to double check but the claim re1 came out in 1986 for the ps1. i was a kid in the 80's im somewhat sure the ps1 wasnt even a thing then. but still a great video

Jill Valentine is my favorite and Chris they work so great together now I like blowing zombie heads off so they don't reawaken I'd like to have the remastered version of this game .
Yeah Jill is the coolest. Chris naturally is too but I like Jill's persona. Yeah blowing their heads off definitely works 😂 There is always good sales for the resident evil games. Are you on console or pc ?
@@houseofsten Oh no, it is "balanced" between jill and Chris. Jill gets the granade launcher, Barrys Assistance, Lockpicks, more Inventory, can play the moonlight sonata and can skip the fight against Plant 42. Chris has more health, can use a lighter without the need to carry one, has a higher Chance of destroying zombie heads/Crit shots and I read somewhere that his knife does 150 damage instead of 91 damage like with jill. I am not a hundred percent sure about the last point though. Jill gets more secondary weapons, thanks to her lockpick but chris gets grenades as self defense weapons. Jill is considered the easier character thanks to her boni.
You planning on going back and getting the rest ? The invisible enemies wouldn't be too bad since you can do it on very easy. Just don't do knife only at the same time like me ☠️
Haven't played or really seen much of RE7. Looking forward to playing it since its 1st person. Oh god, is the achievement that bad? dont know if i am looking foward to it now :D
@@houseofsten Yeah. It's brutal. The game is fine otherwise but if you want every achievement, you're going to suffer for them. I don't think it's worth it. I got all but 4 (Ethan must die, Joe must die, S rank on all of Jack's birthdays and all coins on madhouse).

@houseofsten Ah, hope your eye is recovering well(and you aren't staring at screens for too long) I did RE1 first and got most of the achievements in 4 runs. After that, I had 2 cleanup runs, of which, my CQC invisible enemies run was god awful since I did it on normal. It was a bit of a grind but I hit 100% in 36 hours. RE0 was interesting I don't actually remember how many runs it took but I got fully pissed off because the lurker frog thing killed my no saves run twice(fucking instakill son of a bitch) and I fucked up my save file with wesker mode at one point and had to do another run. Leech hunter was a lil challenging but I didn't enjoy it. Even though I did RE0 more recently than RE1, I remember RE1 much more clearly in my head and had more fun. RE2 is leagues more enjoyable and I feel like I'll actually enjoy replaying the game even after I hit 100%. I'll hold off on watching your RE2 vid until I've completed both Hardcore S ranks. Today I had a blast doing Tofu survivor runs and I'm thinking I might try to unlock everything even if there's no achievement for all records, accessories, etc.

Why, oh why would you do a “no save” run for your first playthrough? Even as someone who has beat the game dozens of times, every time I do a fresh achievement/trophy run on a new system I wait until a later playthrough to get that out of the way. There are just too many parts that can result in an immediate instakill if you’re not prepared for them. I like to keep the no save run for after I’ve already unlocked the Infinite Rocket Launcher so I don’t have any danger of falling off there. She has ruined too many runs that way.
I had horrible tunnel vision of getting as many achievements as i could on my first playthrough. I remember the game on the ps1 and thought it was going to play out the same but I was totally wrong 😅 Looking back on that first jill run I was so close to dying at Lisa Trevor every time. At least I can put her behind me... for now 😂
@@houseofsten If you want some tips to save you some trouble on the next games in the series, feel free to ask me. I’ve started fresh with all the RE games on Steam to get all the achievements in them, and I’m doing my best not repeat the mistakes on other consoles. XD It did make for an entertaining watch, admittedly. At least you didn’t die to Lisa. Anymore, she and the two Cerberus you need to acquire the dog collar from are the only things that ever get me. It was fun iterating upon the game to get his good at it, but I have to admit you’re right about it getting boring after so many playthroughs.
from my runs platinuming re1 remake, i think you just have to interact with both doors. i’ve done runs after getting the acid rounds, and barry will still save you if you interact with the doors. maybe it’s different from xbox to ps4, idk if there’s version differences.
Apparently, it despawns him according to guides online. When I tried both doors before the time I died it just let me reenter the room and all I could do was restack the shotgun then according to online guides I had to go find the broken shotgun to swap it with. Thats when i just yolo'd it and got turned into a jill sandwich 😂 Could be a version diff. Not too sure
I just hunt Achievements on xbox. Steam is more my casual games and just having fun. Although I am thinking of getting a PlayStation at some point and picking up some trophies and platinum's :)
Rebecca isn't ENTIRELY Useless, she can heal Chris at a few ocations. The first one is after he gets biten by Yawn, saving him as Rebecca grants a full heal Later she will heal you after beating plant 42 any time you visit her in the room with chemicals, though this placement is very inconvenient
It was because I went back in the hall and triggered the barry scene so he won't save jill at all. He just won't spawn in that area anymore. When I tried both doors multiple times the first time before i died i could reenter the room to put the shotgun back on the wall, I just didn't upload that because it didn't add anything to the video. Apparently, the only way to get the shotgun then is by finding a broken shotgun to swap it with, but I'm not too sure where that is

Whenever you get around to the first revelations if you play on xbox and not the windows version i'd be willing to help with the s ranks and bonuses on raid mode. They are definitely doable solo but they are quicker with another player. The only one that you really need a partner for is the ghost ship stages otherwise you'll have to grind for rare weapons and the parts doing it solo.

Hey mate. Yeah sure, when you complete the game you'll notice you can save the game. You have to load it and click start again for some achievements and progress to stack. This is things like unlocking all the costumes. There's an achievement for completing the game as both Chris and Jill. Since you've done Chris, if you just pressed new game at the main menu and did a playthrough as Jill, you would get the other achievement for completing the game as Jill but not the one for completing it as both Chris and Jill as you haven't stacked them on top of each other within the same save file. If you get what I mean ? It's a stupid system. I messed it up on RE0 so basically wasted a run. But if you're doing something specific on that run you're doing atm like no healing or saving etc. You'll unlock those achievements still
Basically all you need to do is make sure when you complete the game, any extra runs you do, load the save file of you completing the game then hit start new and you'll get all the achievements 😊 Thanks for the kind words too, good luck!

Lol, when i 100% the game, the "Every nuk and cranny" was the hardest achievement to me. I did it last, after knife only, after invisible enemies - because I genuinely thought it's as it says - "VISIT" every place on every map. I got it almost accidentally - I just did a run where I again made sure to visit every room, but looks like I just picked up every item because why not. Only but I hear that I was supposed to pick them.
Yeah the description is so deceptive on the achievement man. I did it on easy and that actually makes it way harder because it gives you way more items to pick up 😂 the fear going to pick up the last item and it not popping is brutal.

@@houseofsten I only did 0, 1 and 2 remakes. I used to play RE in my childhood - I remember beating RE3 9 times on hard on PS1 to unlock all the epilogues - I guess the classic pre-rendered backgrounds hit my nostalgia, and the new, more action-oriented games just aren't the same.

Impressive. Just looked up your gamertag on xbox. 2 playthroughs with Jill. 3 playthroughs with Chris and only 6 deaths in total. For a total playtime of 46 hrs 41 mins. Very impressive.

@@houseofsten Oh no, it is "balanced" between jill and Chris.
Jill gets the granade launcher, Barrys Assistance, Lockpicks, more Inventory, can play the moonlight sonata and can skip the fight against Plant 42. Chris has more health, can use a lighter without the need to carry one, has a higher Chance of destroying zombie heads/Crit shots and I read somewhere that his knife does 150 damage instead of 91 damage like with jill. I am not a hundred percent sure about the last point though. Jill gets more secondary weapons, thanks to her lockpick but chris gets grenades as self defense weapons. Jill is considered the easier character thanks to her boni.

@@houseofsten Yeah. It's brutal. The game is fine otherwise but if you want every achievement, you're going to suffer for them. I don't think it's worth it. I got all but 4 (Ethan must die, Joe must die, S rank on all of Jack's birthdays and all coins on madhouse).

yeah it was pretty grim. But doing like 6-7 playthroughs already in the space of 2 days and dying a lot meant I just wanted to get it out the way ASAP by stacking achievements. Although it probably took longer to get through that 1 playthrough than it would of just doing 2 separate runs of the achievements hahaha
I bought all the mainline Resident Evil games in the latest sale and started playing them in order(3 weeks ago?) Like you, I also decided to embark on a quest to 100% the achievements. Anyways, just finished my first run of RE2 remake and had loads more fun than playing RE0 and RE1. Like you, I found re2 much more enjoyable. It really is an awesome game. The video for re2 was supposed to be last Friday, but due to surgery on my eye last week, it's coming out tomorrow instead.

@houseofsten Ah, hope your eye is recovering well(and you aren't staring at screens for too long) I did RE1 first and got most of the achievements in 4 runs. After that, I had 2 cleanup runs, of which, my CQC invisible enemies run was god awful since I did it on normal. It was a bit of a grind but I hit 100% in 36 hours. RE0 was interesting I don't actually remember how many runs it took but I got fully pissed off because the lurker frog thing killed my no saves run twice(fucking instakill son of a bitch) and I fucked up my save file with wesker mode at one point and had to do another run. Leech hunter was a lil challenging but I didn't enjoy it. Even though I did RE0 more recently than RE1, I remember RE1 much more clearly in my head and had more fun. RE2 is leagues more enjoyable and I feel like I'll actually enjoy replaying the game even after I hit 100%. I'll hold off on watching your RE2 vid until I've completed both Hardcore S ranks. Today I had a blast doing Tofu survivor runs and I'm thinking I might try to unlock everything even if there's no achievement for all records, accessories, etc.

Why, oh why would you do a “no save” run for your first playthrough? Even as someone who has beat the game dozens of times, every time I do a fresh achievement/trophy run on a new system I wait until a later playthrough to get that out of the way. There are just too many parts that can result in an immediate instakill if you’re not prepared for them. I like to keep the no save run for after I’ve already unlocked the Infinite Rocket Launcher so I don’t have any danger of falling off there. She has ruined too many runs that way.
I had horrible tunnel vision of getting as many achievements as i could on my first playthrough. I remember the game on the ps1 and thought it was going to play out the same but I was totally wrong 😅
Looking back on that first jill run I was so close to dying at Lisa Trevor every time.
At least I can put her behind me... for now 😂

It did make for an entertaining watch, admittedly. At least you didn’t die to Lisa. Anymore, she and the two Cerberus you need to acquire the dog collar from are the only things that ever get me. It was fun iterating upon the game to get his good at it, but I have to admit you’re right about it getting boring after so many playthroughs.

from my runs platinuming re1 remake, i think you just have to interact with both doors. i’ve done runs after getting the acid rounds, and barry will still save you if you interact with the doors. maybe it’s different from xbox to ps4, idk if there’s version differences.
Apparently, it despawns him according to guides online. When I tried both doors before the time I died it just let me reenter the room and all I could do was restack the shotgun then according to online guides I had to go find the broken shotgun to swap it with. Thats when i just yolo'd it and got turned into a jill sandwich 😂 Could be a version diff. Not too sure

I just hunt Achievements on xbox. Steam is more my casual games and just having fun. Although I am thinking of getting a PlayStation at some point and picking up some trophies and platinum's :)
Rebecca isn't ENTIRELY Useless, she can heal Chris at a few ocations.
The first one is after he gets biten by Yawn, saving him as Rebecca grants a full heal
Later she will heal you after beating plant 42 any time you visit her in the room with chemicals, though this placement is very inconvenient

You can't even use the Lighter on a Knife-only run? But you actually need the Lighter once to light a candle to pick up a part of the Muscial Score.
You can use it for puzzles etc. Just not as part of burning up the zombies bodies with the fuel canteen basically 😁

The reason Barry didn’t save you is because you didn’t click on the door twice, the order doesn’t matter
It was because I went back in the hall and triggered the barry scene so he won't save jill at all. He just won't spawn in that area anymore. When I tried both doors multiple times the first time before i died i could reenter the room to put the shotgun back on the wall, I just didn't upload that because it didn't add anything to the video. Apparently, the only way to get the shotgun then is by finding a broken shotgun to swap it with, but I'm not too sure where that is

Whenever you get around to the first revelations if you play on xbox and not the windows version i'd be willing to help with the s ranks and bonuses on raid mode. They are definitely doable solo but they are quicker with another player. The only one that you really need a partner for is the ghost ship stages otherwise you'll have to grind for rare weapons and the parts doing it solo.

Hey mate. Yeah sure, when you complete the game you'll notice you can save the game. You have to load it and click start again for some achievements and progress to stack. This is things like unlocking all the costumes. There's an achievement for completing the game as both Chris and Jill. Since you've done Chris, if you just pressed new game at the main menu and did a playthrough as Jill, you would get the other achievement for completing the game as Jill but not the one for completing it as both Chris and Jill as you haven't stacked them on top of each other within the same save file. If you get what I mean ? It's a stupid system. I messed it up on RE0 so basically wasted a run. But if you're doing something specific on that run you're doing atm like no healing or saving etc. You'll unlock those achievements still
Basically all you need to do is make sure when you complete the game, any extra runs you do, load the save file of you completing the game then hit start new and you'll get all the achievements 😊
