Great job! Fun video to watch. I appreciate your research, diligence, and application!
Thanks very much for watching and the kind words!
Gotta admit my friend, you’re the only 4-gen owner that posts videos that I respect. Like your positive attitude; unlike all the other DWEEBS like “The Flyin Freckle”🥱 and other clowns out there that do nothing but gloat on how perfect the 4-gen is and everything else is crap!
Keep up the optimistic and positive videos!!👍🏻👏🏻
Will do thanks very much for the comment and for watching.
Great video.... Looking forward to seeing the next one!
Thanks
Nice video, thanks for sharing. I’m getting the TRD PreRunner next month in that same exterior color.
Awesome that's a cool truck as well. I'm sure you'll love it. Thanks for watching.
Not sure how much DIY maintenance you do on your truck, but I’d love to see a basic oil change video on the ‘24. Also, do you have any comment on the 10k interval?
Since the maintenance is included for the first two years, I'll likely take it in for service and then do my own maintenance. I'll probably be closer to 7500 for the oil changes, but we'll see. Thanks for watching.
whats the dog bed system you have in the backseat of your truck?
Hi Tom. This is the one we have amzn.to/3W3aaSL thanks for watching and the question!
Looks like you had a great time! Would you happen to know if 4x4 Colorado’s cloud comfort for the alto elite covers the entire footprint of the tent? It shows as a his/hers fold open double on their site. From your experience in the video and some others I’ve seen I think I want to order the upgrade for myself before my tent even arrives.
My understanding is that the Elite being in 2 sections does cover the footprint, unfortunately for us the Mini cloud comfort doesn't, and has some pretty big gaps. But we had some extra foam from a mattress topper and filled the gaps on the sides with that. The elite in the showroom has the cloud comfort system and it fits very well.
I didn’t see those roller cams on Amazon. Where did you get yours?
Directly from their site Rollercam.com
What's the mpg in a setup like that?
First thanks for watching. It honestly hasn't changed much from before I added everything. I get around 17-18 on short trips or heading up into the mountains and 20-25 on the highway depending on terrain. On the trails it's between 5-12 mpg. Depending on terrain and if I'm in 4 hi or low.
@@BenInBeta thank you for making these videos, really nice to see. I'm waiting on my Tacoma but I'm highly considering things like the Kuat bed rack and a rtt. I just wanted an idea of what to expect if I added those things. 👍👍 keep up the great work
Thanks for the kind words. And for watching. Let me know if there are any specific questions you have and I can try to answer them in future videos too.
Hello. Is your truck lifted?
No it's stock with Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws in the stock size 265/70/17
@@BenInBeta Nice setup.
Thanks and thank you for watching!
WAIT TILL THE RODENTS EAT YOUR WIRING! WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!
Well thank you for watching and commenting, but I'm not sure what you mean. Why would they eat my wiring anymore than any other person's? Just curious where you are coming from.
I don’t think you can call a stock truck with a tent an overland build. No winch, no recovery points, no bumpers. If a honda civic can go to all the same places it’s not over landing its car camping.
You're entitled to your opinion of course. I don't agree though. And neither does the definition of overlanding: Overlanding is a type of self-reliant adventure travel that involves traveling to remote destinations by mechanized transport, often over unpaved roads, and primarily camping along the way. But thanks for the comment.
@@BenInBeta don’t get me wrong you have a nice truck. I guess the part that got me was “overland BUILD”. And yes you’re correct and technically you can overland on a bike.
@nicholas9642 there are different levels of a build and this is just the beginning for us too. I think this is how most people would start as well. I don't know what your build looks like, but I'm sure it's awesome. As one builds out their vehicle it becomes more capable and that is great, but a build doesn't have to mean you're adding every possible accessory, a lift, and 37 inch tires in one shot or at all. We've added AT4Ws, front skids and rock sliders this far and we've definitely gone where a Civic cannot. I do appreciate the conversation though and maybe when we get back doing a podcast sometime you can pop on and show off your rig. Have a good one.
