iPhone Battery Replacement - BMS swap to avoid error message and correct battery health to 100%

Battery replacements have become an advanced repair for apple iPhone devices. What was once a simple 10 minute repalcement doable as a DIY repair is now a long process which required higher level skills and more advanced equipment to complete properly.
Cliff Notes:
Once the old battery is removed the skilled process begins. Isolate the BMS by removing the tape and plastic covers. Cut the two leads to the battery cell carefully and be sure to avoid touching the two leads together as it can cause fire and/or injury. Alight the new cell and spot weld the new leads ensuring the positive and negatives are correct. Wrap the BMS for an OEM look and then reprogram the battery health to reflect the new battery cell.

Are you having complains? I have customers after doing this repair they tell me their batteries aren’t lasting as long anymore. Like now they get even worse battery life.

Hey thank you :). It is completely safe, the welder does not spark, also just avoid puncturing rhe battery. No doubt you must be careful with batteries but if you’re being safe it’s fine.

I'm not sure I understand: Why are you reading from the new battery then writing the same new battery? Shouldn't you be reading the old battery?
You aren't very smart, i'd suggest you do NOT try this yourself.

When I’m trying to spot weld the negative side it just won’t weld. It ends up blowing holes through the metal positive side welds perfectly. I’ve been using the batteries from replace base where do you get these batteries from? Thanks
Lower the power for your spot welder on the negative side and try keeping your probes further apart to avoid bowing holes though the metal. The batteries I use are from mobile Sentrix.
@@phonedoctorbrady Hi, I don’t use the same batteries and I have the same problem with the negative side. I did lower the power of the spot welder, but it just doesn’t weld. Any tips on how I could do this properly?
@@Felix-ge4sd you have to play around with this and figure out what works for you and the welder you have. I believe this welder I have in my video loses strength over time because I’ve noticed I have had more trouble lately than I did in the beginning. For me I plug in the welder because I noticed when the battery is low by even 1 bar it’s not as strong. I also continue to hold my one lead in the same spot and try to weld the same spot a few times until I see the blue welded metal colour.

@@phonedoctorbrady i just tried many different things, different welder power, folding the metal strip in 2 but nothing works. However, Connecting the metal strip in sandwich using another thin piece of nickel that came with the kit works just fine. Would you recommend avoid doing that or not?
Does the battery that you purchase include those battery isolation protection sticker, the black tape?
Yes it does
If not in the package what would be a good diy substitute for that tape?
Erm i swear if you have that machine you do not need to swap BMS you can just swap the data over using that...
Unfortunately that is not true.
I changed the bms card and I made the battery health 100% cycle 0 on the pc with the icopy programming device. When I insert the battery into the iphone device, I get an important battery message warning error, how can I solve it?
Connect a different battery to the phone or power supply and boot the phone. Once the phone boots and shows the “non genuine battery” message you can put the original bms back in and it will change the battery health on the phone to reflect the new cell.

do you connect it with the tag on flex cable? newer iphone models also require that

when working with lithium iron batteries I hope you have a bucket of sand near you in case of electrical fire.
