This car is amazing. I prefer it to even the BMW 4 series coupe. It's probably the best coupe there is for under 40K

0-60 doesn't matter much to me, but I'd love to see actual fuel economy during your week, comfort and handling while driving, and how the cabin noise is.

I personally think that the 2016 Accord Sedan looks better, but this looks good too. The sedan in San Marino Red with the decklid spoiler looks AWESOME imo though.

What is your opinion on road noise and driving on rough roads? I still have my 2003 rsx manual and I'm thinking about getting this car for the v6.

Dave: I own a 2014 Accord. I'd be interested in seeing your impressions of the Econ feature. Perhaps half your drive could be with it on, and half with it disengaged. What did you notice in driving dynamics and fuel economy? As well, how long did the Bluetooth take to hook up, and your impressions of the volume and other touch screen features. I wonder how well they would work with winter gloves on, or whether Honda has redundancy knobs that could be used. Thanks and keep up the good work.

I'm loving mine. I got it yesterday but it is not the V6 (I'm one of the few who actually like the CVT). It's a black EX with cloth. I don't do leather....looks nice but you have to deal with the elements. I haven't gotten Android Auto to work with my Verizon HTC M9 though. Other than that, the car is excellent. The CVT is very responsive and so is the electrical steering. It has a very quiet cabin and smooth ride. Somehow I feel that the glossy components of the interior will attract unsightly dust after some time but I shall soon see. I have to get used to the whole keyless entry and push to start perks. A part of me still feels that I need to remove a key from the ignition or my pocket to leave or approach the car.
Edit: I just got Android Auto to work.
I'm having the same problem with android auto too. How did you get it to work ?
Rafal Grabski I think it all boiled down to the usb cable that I was using. My connection was more consistent when I switched it. I had a few different cables laying around.

Cute. I had a Civic before my Mazdas and loved it. That red color accenting on the electronics is lovely, does that coordinate with different exterior colors? I like to see handling videos, especially curvy roads. :)
Under steer is my concern. I would love to see you accelerate through a turn and see if there is anything that acts like a limited slip differential. My test for Navi is how easy to find the nearest Macy's, also with Apple CarPlay is that better.
I would agree with some of the comments. Perform a noise level test. I am looking for another car and would like to know the road noise level for the newer cars.
Hey Awesome Review Sir! I was wondering if you can help me out to decide on which car is better for me. I'm 27 year old, married and has a kid that is 2 month old. But I'm thinking which one is to get. Honda Accord Sedan 2016, The Camaro 2016 (since I love muscle car) or the Audi Q3 2016. Since they are all around the same price range. I love driving fast car and also love to have comfort and convenience on driving.

Hey Dave, love your videos. 2 things, In this review of the 2016 Accord coupe you're very excited about the dual screen configuration. You exclaim "This is nice!" and "Now, this is how you do a dual screen!" as if you'd never seen it before. However, in your 2013 Accord coupe review the dual screens are extremely similar. You don't even mention the dual screens and you don't like the "center stack" configuration as a whole. Why were you impressed now about the dual screens, but not then?
2nd, I think it was in a Mazda Miata review where you ask the viewers why we watch your "Just Arrived" or "First Look" videos more than the detailed reviews you spend more time working on. Here's why; the "first looks" are quick and more fun. Your very enthusiastic about what you like and don't like. You get right to the point and actually cover a lot of things I'd want to know without having to piss-off a salesman on the lot because I'm "just looking". I only watch the detailed reviews on the cars I might actually buy, like the Accord coupe or sedan.
As a videographer, I am very impressed at your one-man-band video skills! Keep it up and please let me know why you seemed to not remember the dual screens in the 2013 Accord and freaked in 2016...I just wanna know, lol.

Was waiting for this, there was little to no reviews on this vehicle. With the reviews even, they weren't up to par with your reviews! Glad to have seen this review come out for the Accord. Stuck between the decision of an Si, Accord, Jeep or Wrx. Which ever meets the affordability and reliability in New England.

interested in the handling aspects of it and 0 to 60. Also somethin I'd like to see in your reviews is what is the car like at night...any car that you test for that matter. What I mean is are the headlights good, does the dash lighting provide decent lighting, how well can you see go around corners at night, etc. Nobody ever talks about this.
Nice review. I own the 2010 Accord 6cyl EX-L Manual coupe and it's been a great performer. Very low maintenance at 126K miles. tires, brakes and an up coming timing belt unless I trade it in.

I actually bought the LX-S trim (2015 model) instead of the EX specifically to avoid the dual screens (I'd rather have physical radio buttons than a touch screen) and to retain a proper volume knob. Comes standard with bluetooth and a backup camera - that's all I need. Very happy with it!
But really Honda, bring the knob back!
would the v6 coupe use up A LOT more gas than the 4 cyclinder ? i have a v6 2006 mustang now and its terrible on gas. im kind of torn on which model to go with.

Brian A That's pretty bad for a v6. The v6 on the accord will get better numbers but the 4-cylinder will get the best numbers.

why can't they just make a large touch screen in the center console like Volvo did to their CX90. I mean two discrete screen is really confusing and distracting and looks so unrefined. :(
Try entering the backseat from the passenger side. I believe the passenger seat slides forward. Please comment on clutch feel. Is it light? Would love to know real world fuel economy on that v6 manual. Does anyone know if this vehicle is a timing chain?
+Mag Border Yes, the passenger seat does slide forward... but again, this was the first time exploring the car... I have since entered from the passenger side.
please do 0-60..would like to see what you would get for the time...factory claimed is I think 5 seconds flat maybe 5.3 seonds...can't remember. Anyways great review as always, keep up the good work!

+jungle jingle That 18mpg city is simply because it has a manual transmission. Opt for the automatic and the fuel economy rating jumps to 21city/32hwy.

the one thing i don't understand about the accord is that it has no option for a screen in place of the instrument cluster, where the less expensive civic does.
Both me and my wife are in the market for a new vehicle sometime in the next 4-8 months, and we really appreciate videos. They are clean, entertaining, and answer all of our questions. However, was curious if there is one thing you could add that others have not. Could you find a young woman that is 5-foot or under for fitment tests? My wife is (was) 5' until a recent accident (not 4'11"), and we are having many issues finding a vehicle that fits her safely and myself being roughly 6-foot at the same time. This would allow extreme contrast for a lot of couples that are in the market like us.
Either way thanks for the great show and especially for keeping it clean unlike some other show(s). Wife does not appreciate "that is what sh...." types of jokes, and yours is one of the few that keeps everything respectful.

Why does the Accord sedan have 60/40 split folding rear seats and the coupe does not?
+FanaticGuide's Video Game LP's and more... Better agility. My sisters 07 lexus IS which is a 4 door, her backseat don't fold down at all, but have a center pass threw. Coupes aren't build to be practical like the way 4 door sedan are. If your a single driver with an occasional passenger but you wanna throw a gym bag back there it can do it, but its not designed for lumper trips to home depot.
all your car needs is the body side molding to protect from scratches etc... and maybe wrap the top between the sunroof and rear window in gloss black... oh and maybe Red headrests to pop some more, lol... its all cheap ideas but could work.... what ya think?

Andy Jacobs lol, i own the Black coupe year 2013 and if it was not for the black body molding protection i would have serioius nicks in my paint... how would you feel if some one banged your door? thats why i say the side body molding is good... but if you do not want it thats good too... you will save your self a couple hundred dollars but worry if some body opens their doors on your car and makes a nick or dent... also the dealer puts it on and its not cheap in my eyes and im 65 years young! gray hair and all.... lol....have a great day and thanks for your post... i understand your thoughts and you are right just like i am... so we both are winners... take care, get yourself a new car, as for me i am thinking about trading my black coupe for a white one... the red is awesome, but too hot and maybe better for the ladies to buy.... just saying...

0-60 only bc these cars are under rated. So i think with a good launch and really hammering those gears im saying a low 5 to 5.5 0-60. Dooo itttt lol

Nice car overall the exterior do seem to be getting a bit too designed out but its alright(hope they dont go civic ugly route with accord) want to see the drive and how it performs when you push it a bit.

That double screen not withstanding, the whole dash layout, and design on this car is really edging towards perfect. Great layout, awesome sight lines, comfortable steering wheel, logical placement, its really amazing how good Honda can get it in some of their cars, and other manufactures seem to get it right in none of their cars.
Now if Honda could just undo their horrible nose styling they have had for the last 6-7 years between both Honda and Acura. They are changing their design language more than Subaru in the mid-2000's.

i had a 2013 of the same car... they have made a few nice improvements... but yea... there needs to be a volume knob... i got rid of mine bc the road noise all of sudden seemed to consume me... couldn't even use bluetooth calling bc the ride was so loud... even changed to tires... still loud as hell... traded for a 328 bmw
