  • Sorry for the poor sound quality but it was windy and I didn't have my mic with me. It was a spur of the moment decision to go out and I didn't intend creating a video so I left the mic behind. It does improve as the wind drops so bare with it.

You Found a cracking low level camp site there! And it’s usually the unplanned adventures that are the best or most remembered 👍 curry looked good to boot! I know what you mean when your pitched and the day hikers have left and your alone with your thoughts in the wild (the best part for me😊) ATB enjoyed &subscribed best regards Simon 👍🙏🏼

Thanks, Simon. I have to settle for low level camping for now until I regain fitness. There are some cracking locations so it’s not all bad, wherever I can find some peace and quiet is good for me.
Thanks again for watching and taking the time to drop a comment. Really appreciate it..👍

What an absolute belter of a camp. The spot looked like a literal Wild Campers dream!
I do like cooking real food, Trangia maybe an option for me in the future, although I don't like Thai Curry, it did look good!
    Brilliant video 👍

I'm Trangia through and through. I have a small Trangia Triangle if I'm going lightweight. I've not used a gas stove for years. The speed of a boil doesn't get me all excited, I don't mind that the Trangia takes a couple of mins more. Wild Camping, for me is all about taking things easy and chilling out. A few mins to boil a pot of water means I can sit and relax.
Yeah, it was a great spot. I'd imagine it would be a midge fest in summer but the perfect winter pitch.
      Thanks for watching mate 👍

Thanks Steve. Yeah it was a good spot, really enjoyed it. Sometimes I just like to leave the dehydrated food at home and cook fresh stuff, tasted bang on.
I wouldn't be without the Anaris now, love it. Thanks for your support and HNY. 👍

I'm thinking of getting this tent, my concern is that I have never used mesh only inners, can I ask how cold the tent is in a wind, does the wind cut strait through, so any windchill factor is brought into the tent. I mainly camp in the peak district or the lakes, I have a Unna but wanted a lighter tent for summer use, but as we all know it still gets windy in spring summer on the fells and tors .. any thoughts around winds and temperature when in the inner would be great would be great

I’ve used it in windy conditions and never had any issues. It’s not a full mesh inner, only the doors. If the wind comes under the fly I just drop the poles down and peg the fly right to the floor. I only really use it as a three season tent so pegging it right down is not something I do a lot. It’s a cracking tent even when I use it in winter it’s still fine.

thats great news, it seems to catch the wind a lot, is it flappy and noisy in wind

@@FindingTheGoldenThread-nf8yv it can be a bit flappy when it’s windy but no more than my Nalo 2. 👍🏼
