Heading out that way this summer! Planning Fairfield north. Stay at Smoky Bar store, explore around there and ride north on some two track as we'll be loaded with camping gear. Will try to do some of the less death exposure single stuff too lol. Watching all these and taking notes! Thanks man, what a place to live and ride! We'll be hauling from Upstate SC
Wow y’all covered a lot of ground. Could you pretty please tell me if trail 1004 connects to a road? You had to have taken that down to get over to Kennally creek from where you were. But on every map I look at it just ends. I’ll jump on instagram if you can tell me there. ???
RacerRed Here in Utah we have what is called The Uinta Trail Council which is made up of volunteers that work closely with the forest service in keeping the trails clear. They have been huge in stemming the closure mentality that used to exist down here amongst the land managers.
The gnats tend to stay near the water like you said, but flies venture further out, it seems. Neither have been a problem while wearing gear, so far. I did notice the mosquitoes starting to come out in the evening though!
Those trails look really good! Also, glad you're loving your TE250. I came really close to picking up a leftover 2018 but ultimately my wallet made me go with the YZ250X. Loving it so far, but I have no doubt that I'd be equally as happy with a TE.
You can't go wrong with a YZ250X, man. That SSS suspension is awesome, and those motors are bullet proof! Have you gotten to take it out on some trails yet?
@@RacerRed I've taken it on a little single track up 8th street but nothing very technical. So far have 4 rides on it, mostly double track with a few hill climbs. It's been awesome, really versatile/well rounded bike, just a really good package overall between the plush suspension, nimble/lightweight feel, and ultra free-revving motor.
Have a 300TPI and love the bike it has almost 100 hours of hard Colorado single track on it and have had no problems. I ride from 13,000FT to 5000FT so having the ability to adjust it self is awasome. I would like to know the area where you are ridding. I think its around the Salmon area but not sure. I ride a lot in the Moscow to Cordulane area on my vacation time.
That tpi is super nice, but i would much rather run a smartcarb or a Lectron carb that auto adjusts for climate. I dont like so many electronics on my dirt bike. too much that can go wrong.
Hey. Moscow student here, I'm wondering if you would mind sharing info on trails up there. I've been to elk river in the winter, but didn't think anything was closer.
@@porterdallenbach1639 There are some good single track on the polause divide. You can access them from the Mica Mountain road by Deary, By Moose Creek resivor, or the Laired Park road north east of Potlatch. There used to be some good single track by Saint Mairies and some epic stuff off of the Fish Hook road by Avery. Three Bear road buy Cavindish has some good trails off of it too.
I get the keeping it simple idea of carbs but EFI has been around for forever, it's emissions that kill injection. Jetting the carb for altitude got around that, now you need a retune and it's too bad because bikes are such a small amount total emissions and it ruins them.
I bought the tp199 knee guards. Did a 7.5 hour brutal trail ride yesterday, they wore awesome, never slipped or moved and no blisters. My 661 mtb knee/shin guards are retired now.
I'm glad you like the tp199's. i dont say something is awesome unless i think it is. the tp199's are something that i wear on every ride now. they have protected me many times.
What a cool channel you have! I've never subbed to anyone but I am going to sub you. I don't know if you do this or not but you should sell trail maps for the areas that you ride, and link the maps to the actual ride. BTW Husky/KTM rider here (300TX, 250FE wifes, 450exc & 1290 SAR). BTW ever been down to CA, and rode Downieville? Its one of our better but overpopulated areas around Tahoe.
@@RacerRed attention spans are too short these days. People stop watching after 3-5 minutes. Me personally, I wait until I get home and watch full videos cast to the t.v. so much better than on a phone.
I feel the same way about the 505. I have however fallen in love with the 525 Cheater 120/100-18. Give it a try man, it gets 90% of the traction of the 505 on hard pack and is 100% better on everything else. Don't get the 100 tho it's too soft and too small.

Gonna hit this in the a.m. and see how much snows melted so far
Headed up to ride Stolle Meadows with my son based on this fantastic video.

Where did you go for a burger?
the log cabin at warm lake. Can't remember what the place is called.
Looks like almost every trail in Washington State
Then don’t forget to appreciate the beauty around you!
Awesome video! A little gnarly in some spots. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video - Thank you. That one is on my to-do list.
Lets go
Thanks man! It was a great trail, for sure. I would like to do an overnight trip up there one of these days. So many trails to explore.
You need to let us see those views longer.
Typical awesome Idaho ST!
absolutely! Idaho has great trails. the hard part is keeping them cleared since the forest service wont do it

What part of Idaho?
Just amazing trails! Do you guys get a lot of flies or gnats because of all the water that's around the area?

Great riding, great looking trail.
thanks man! it is a pretty state!
Looks like a fun trail! So much epic riding there in ID. I love riding my KTM 250 EXC-F, but your vids make me want to go out and get a Husky.
sounds like you already have a great bike, but i do love my Husky! Idaho has such fun single track, man. i love it. Thanks for commenting!
I was going to ask you about trail numbers etc but after watching your vid I don't want to know. Haha.
Nice keep it up!
Thanks so much!

Too many cuts man. Geez.
most people want more cuts. I try to cut down a 6 hour ride in to interesting sections. Nobody will watch an hour of riding with few cuts.

Hey I have a cabin up there, there are some of my favorite trails up there

get a steak!
I really enjoyed their food. I will definitely be back.
