@@tiefseehase9503 season 1.. let my slowly introduce a few mysteries.... season 2... head explode.. season 3 ... clusterfuuuk of brain melt that even christopher nolan would not make... but with the very last 2 episodes everything is said. also on a rewatch you find so many things in season 1 that you understand better when you know all.
The letter opening was the first of the many mesmerizing moments to come. I've rewatched that scene for like 50 times, and it still gave me severe goosebumps while watching it her.
At 6:20 you said was that something on his neck, markings on his neck .... yup you noticed that will come good number of times. Every detail is important. Everything is connected.
22:10 Jonas existence even when Mikkel wasn't vanished yet, means that "Mikkel traveling to 1986 and staying there and becoming Jonas's father" always happened. This is the rule in Dark's universe. Everything that happened, happened. Aaaaand welcome to Dark's world :) Great reaction as always ❤
(Ines talking to Mikkel) "She's so good with kids! I hope we find out why her son killed himself. We haven't heard ANYTHING about him." You were 🤏 this close!
So... dear Ladies ... prepare for a crazy ride from now on, so watch things carefully. There is a lot of hidden symbolism and referential in this series ;)
Bartosz thinks that Noah is Erik's dealer because he called him on the phone that was in the stash with the drugs. And that might be the truth, as Noah kidnapped Erik and put him on his chair.
Two mikkel/michael exist at the same time because its a loop, that means before the Mikkel we know disappeared there is already a future of version of himself that disappear (or traveled to the past) . And that future version of him is going back to 1986 where he will become jonas father or Michael. That means everything we witnessed already happened. Like in harry potter and the order of the phoenix, Harry and Hermoine was saved by the future version of themselves. Then they save their past selves when they travel back in time using the time turner.
You are blown by the least blowing event in the series xD wait to see the rest of Dark. The mysterious guy's identity would eventually come up (probably in the next episode or the following one). So dont worry that much.
You get a pass for "Ulrich", but not for 8:38 "Joe-nah" instead of "Yo-nuss" ;) About Mikkel/Michael: With time travel, time isn't linear anymore, since people and objects can jump in time. Each time-traveling person or object has its own individual timeline: Time passing - meaning, aging and eventually dying, or the object getting older - regardless of the time period they're in. This individual timeline is always linear. But with time-travel involved, it becomes non-linear for any observer. There can be two of the same people or objects at the same point in time no problem, if one of them has time-traveled there.

All I have to say, is that honestly NOTHING we say can prepare you for the crazy, and the mind bending that awaits. But you ladies seem very capable of working things out. I know I had to do a LOT of pausing, and thinking... especially when it came to family trees, or family wreaths. Even now, I've watched a couple other reactions to the series, and am in the middle of another channel's reactions... I STILL have to pause, and get it all straight, well not "straight", but unraveled in my mind.
🤣🤣 I wish we could pause during but we can't because then it makes editing really hard! We do go back and rewatch on our own though if we need to refresh or we think we missed something! 🥴
There was a clue right at the start of episode 1.....the family photo with the nurse standing next to Micheal . Now start working out all the incestious relationships....i.e. Martha is Jonas's Aunt, his grandfather (Ulrich) was banging his mother.......lol...
on first episode you wanted answers.....you got some. But...these answers themselves raise even more questions :) enjoy your trip into Dark, I am myself enjoying seeing your own journey
There is a 3-4 year age difference between Hannah and Mikkel in 1986, not counting time travel issues. He was 11 or 12 and she was 15 when they met for the first time at the hospital. At that time the age difference is noticeable, by the time they would have gotten married not so much.
English-speakers usually have a hard time pronouncing the German "ch", so don't worry! If you do want to learn to say it, the sound does actually exist in English (sometimes, just not really represented by letters). It's the same sound (linguistically speaking) that you make when you say "huge" in English and kind of drag out the "h" (I hope that makes sense) or alternatively when you say "cute" and drag out the "c" it's the same as the transition sound from c to u. It might be hard to say at the end of the name but that's the sound!
Yes.... and so it begins. Lol. Don't worry, 99.5% of all mysteries in this show will eventually be revealed. 1 slow puzzle piece at a time. Enjoy the slow burn mysteries. It only gets better going forward.
Hey, you sweet, wonderful, beautiful ladies... like a few others on here, you've gotten subscriber out me for this show. Also, I went back and watched your The Parasol Institute season 2 reactions (that's what I call The Umbrella Academy), and that was very enjoyable. Since you enjoy these two Netflix series, I thought maybe you'd like Locke & Key on Netflix. Like The Parasol Institute, it's based on a comic book. Season 2 will be coming out soon. Then they've got Tribes of Europa out now, and Jupiter Legacy coming out soon... people seem very excited for both. But Locke & Key, I can absolutely vouch for ladies.
💗💗 thank you!!!! Locke and key has actually been on our list for a while for a show we have thought about reacting too! So you could see it possibly in the future! We did have a lot of fun with ☔ can't wait for season 3!
There’s actually a sound in English that’s close to the German -ch (-ch after an i, that is. -ch after a, o or u is slightly different). Basically the -ch is similar to the first sound you make when pronouncing ‚huge‘. Before you get to the ‚oo’ sound. It’s kind of between a slight hiss and an exhale. But the way you pronounce Ulrich is close enough. It’s a hard sound for people who aren’t native speakers.
Loved the reaction. To be frank, it'd helpful if you keep some notes with you to note some main things down, because going forward it'll keep getting a bit complicated to remember the family trees.
5:45 Or rather, hazel eyes and dark blond hair.. not that I know what color Mads' eyes were. I'm pretty syre, however, that anyone who's not balding can grow long hair. :)
Do not beat yourself up over mispronouncing Ulrich and other German names with -ch- in it. For example my name, Michael, also has it. By now you probably know, theoretically, how to pronounce it. As far as I know only the Scottish and some region near Liverpool are English speakers who make use of the sound.
Well... now you are at the point where you should question your assumption that travelling into the past would drastically override the present. Because it didn't. Jonas did not pop into existence once Mikkel went missing, Jonas was already existing before Mikkel went missing. Which means that we have a time loop. The question now should be is it a consecutive number of iterative loops or is it a single predeterministic loop.
don't view the series with eye of identity politics. Sometime character behave because you don't what sh*t they are going through whether its a man or woman .what i have observed is you guys consistently make all male character as criminals and thugs and if a woman is doing some same stuff like Hannah oh there is reason for that.
Hey there!! Our opinions of characters are based upon what the show has shown us thus far about those characters. We havent seen the show so we dont know what we dont know if that makes sense. As we see more our opinions may change but a lot of shows do that on purpose because character arcs make things more interesting. Thanks for watching! -Liz

In Dark's universe, It's okay for two versions of the same thing to exist at the same time.

By the time you read this I'll already be gone, both as a boy and as a man.
I hope you can forgive me.

Germans are quite direct. Asking "What are you doing here?" to an unpleasant visitor is quite normal.
