    Not me missing 40 something videos... I guess I'll be binge watching to get caught up. You did such a beautiful job on her hair. Don't feel bad about taking time to finish her hair... the struggle is too real especially for our kiddos that are tenderheaded. I usually take a few days to finish my son's hair. He's almost 22mo and is tender headed. He has a lot of hair and does NOT like getting it combed. It's super soft and extremely curly. So by the time I finish the top, the back is frizzy lol.

    Do u add a moisturizer before u twist or after? I find if I twist on wet moisturized hair it doesn’t hold when it dries. If I twist on dry hair it stays and then I go over with a moisturizer. However I’m afraid she’s not getting enough moisture in there

    • @RaeeUfSunshineeNYC
      @RaeeUfSunshineeNYC 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say maybe 2 months? I started mine like this at the African salon and it’s almost been a month and my roots still aren’t fuzzy enough for a retwist. So I’m gonna wait another month.

    • @RaeeUfSunshineeNYC
      @RaeeUfSunshineeNYC 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But i realized children hair grows faster lol. So from past experience you’d want to wait at least a month before Retwisting! Just to avoid thinning and such

    Why did u braid it first for starter locs?

    • @creolejazz
      @creolejazz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I braided her roots because it maintains the starter locs better until the first retwist. Usually with kids, they move around so much so the hair doesn’t mostly stay in place. So by braiding the root it helps keep all the hairs in the loc

    I like microlocs on really thick hair. But the maintenance can be tedious and expense outrageous if you ever have to get a loctician to retwist or interlock her hair. Wanting to make them bigger is understandable. I just would have chosen a size and stuck with it for all of her locs.
