I’m a hairstylist so please listen. Those types of shampoos only need to be applied at the scalp. Curly hair is naturally dry. Adding that to her length will dry it out more. It is better to wash her scalp and use only hydrating shampoos and conditioners on the rest. Companies want you to use up products to buy more products. Love the style!

I love how my daughter looks with this style when it comes time to take it all down. Lawd, I hate it! It seems like a million twist. Then she's extremely tender headed, too. But it's just so darn cute.
Going to TRY this on my VERY tender-headed 6 yo granddaughter today. Doing her hair is a chore. Her nerve-endings are on 1000 EVERY time her hair gets done. Thank God I don't do it that often

My daughter(4) is normally a wash and go. She has a super sensitive scalp and she HATES her hair being brushed, but LOVES it being style. We do a deep condition hair treatment and comb about once a month or so and her hair is getting so long. Thank you for this video! Her go-to protective style is typically braids, but I've been thinking about giving her twists instead.

Awesome! I hope so too! Yeah, using just a tiny bit of gel helps it hold a little more. She sleeps on a satin pillow case at night too which helps with retaining moisture and reducing frizziness.

Thank you for this tutorial! Much needed. My daughters hair is very similar to hers. The back half of my daughter’s hair is much shorter than her top half. I’m struggling with styles to help protect and promote growth, will def try this!

My go to style is twist and braids
But mostly twisted without beads because I don’t want her to put them in her mouth. Beautiful princess and hair. She has the same hair texture as my mother. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work

Girl! Mini twists take a while but it’s so worth it. After hearing so many Moms talk about the struggle, I better count my blessings! 😂 I started our wash day routine early and make sure she has entertainment, snacks and a drink. She be good to go. 😂

My daughters hair has been so unruly due to my inexperience with styling. This video has really helped me learn! 🥰 do you recommend a certain type of bonnet at night to keep the style? My daughter is 15 months so I’m trying to figure out something that will work for her age.
I’m so glad my video was helpful. I usually get my daughter’s bonnets from our local beauty supply store but when she was that age I mostly relied on using a satin pillowcase. You can find those at Walmart or even Ross.

I do this to my daughters hair and needed new products! Thank you for the video!!!! One question tho, for sleeping and mornings, does she wear a bonnet? Does her hair slightly dry up within that time and need to be sprayed down? Does it ever get smooshed and stick up or out in any way? (Ok I guess that was more than one question) 😂 please help! That has been my biggest issue with maintaining the style over a couple of weeks.

You’re welcome! I like to use a durag and a bonnet on top. She also sleeps on a satin pillowcase just in case they slide off while she’s asleep.

I have twin girls with different textures. For one I do bigger twists and the the other I cornrow so it stays neat longer than a day. I haven’t left their out (loose) since before they turned 1. Now they are 2. Because I have 2 plus my own natural hair to do I get lazy and try to save time. Thanks for sharing
Doing three heads is a lot!! Doing mini twists definitely makes things easier because they are so versatile and can lasts at least 2 good weeks.
