What I appreciate about your review here is that both phones have the same wallpaper to give you as close of a legit comparison as possible. That is a small detail that many cell phone reviewers either miss, don't think about, or do intentionally to show they are different phones. If you truly want an apples to apples comparison of screen performance you really need to have both wallpapers match, I think that is more helpful than most people realize I'm my opinion. Another video I suggest making related to Samsung is I wish someone would talk about the difficulties of moving from iPhone to Samsung in relation to transferring photos from Icloud to one drive. My experience, that was an utter sh*t show and I still haven't gotten it right. A third video idea would be to talk about Google photos with Samsung integration while using Google messages. The photo picker on there requires extra steps to get to the photos even though it has the cloud link integration, it still takes like 3 extra steps to get to a photo you want to share. I love my s24 plus but the photo problem is almost enough to make me go back to iPhone or jump to pixel.
In my opinion, these companies should take a more measured approach to product launches. It is not essential to release a new phone every year. Given the current lack of innovative design ideas, it would be more beneficial for companies to focus on improving customer service, software support, and reducing costs. For instance, my previous S21 FE was functioning well until it encountered the green line issue, which was attributed to a OneUI error. This compelled me to switch to the S23, and I am concerned that a similar issue may arise within the next two to three years, resulting in significant financial implications.
Why is the Samsung display so dim ? In real life there’s no way it looks that dark in the sunlight. I own one and it’s much brighter then what the video depicts.
Same thing I saying this person like he did that purposely to bring down the S24 like if other ppl don't have both phones..he make it so obvious that anyone can recognise that the S24 screen is dim
Hey, I love Samsung. Met the people at Samsung Canada. In no way would I make the phone more dim on purpose, that is absurd. They were both at their max brightness. They both looked brighter in person. But the iPhone stood out vs. The two.
ty for saying this because im getting this phone in 2 weeks. currently have iPhone 15 pro max. and a flip 5 ...that screen looked way too dim. Made me question it.
@@valismind@ 1:42 it’s hard to believe the Samsung is set to max brightness. @ 2:56 the Samsung looks much brighter. I’m not saying you’re being dishonest, however other videos don’t show S24U screen being this dark on max brightness.
I own the s24 ultra i love it the anti glare screet is major benefit in outdoors or bright conditions but the reflective screens give a nice shiny richness to the screen aswell
It's a fair video. In all honesty I bought the iphone 16 pro max on day one the bezels yet thinner I couldn't separate it from 15 pro max. The camera button is an acquired test. The camera is better but can't be separated from 15 pro max again. Great device if you are coming from the 12 pro devices or android if you like some customization.
Both are good. I like the risks Samsug is taking to diversify its phone portfolio.I still think the ecosystem is better for Apple. The AirPods pros for me running and working out are perfect.
@Masediz i still have my s23 ultra for almost 2 years yet i have GalaxyAI., why cant apple include it in the 16 series out of the box yet they keep advertising it 🤔
turning on adaptive brightness is the only and correct way to get the proper...full brightness from the s24 ultra display in bright sunny day...though its gets dim pretty quick.

The s24u has the qualcomm x75 next-gen modem which has improved banding capabilities. The iPhone 16 uses an X71 modem which is based on the X70. This is like comparing an x55 with an X65. The X75 should have better remote reception based on the modems banding capabilities.

I still like android which is why I have the ultra since both devices serve a purpose for me but I much prefer the apple device.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus along with every Sony Playstation ever made are very easily my absolute favorite pieces of technology ever created in the history of man kind. Nah it’s very common, it’s the way the screen is flickering. You don’t see it because it’s happening fast, but some people have a light sensitivity or PWM sensitivity that can cause blistering headaches. This used to happen to me too it’s horrible.

The Ultra is a great phone, no doubt, but I ended up trading it in for the 15 Pro Max. Why you ask? Well I didn't like the squared corners and it was awkward in the pocket. I didn't use the S-Pen anyways.
How does the reflective coating do with a screen protector on it? And I wonder how it compares to an IPhone with an anti reflective screen protector 🤷🏻♂️
I love both iOS and Android, but Samsung is simply in another level of existence than iOS. Once Apple innovates and comes out with Folding and Flipping phones, then they can compare. Right now it ain’t even close.
no need to choose wisely between both. both are powerful phone. if u want simplistic and seamless phone choose iphone. if you want customization and emulator choose samsung. they are both expensive anyway

I went to iPhone 16 pro max 1 tb titanium black my S24U and Android 14 ui 6.1 has been a disater been through 3 different s24u devices too the 16 pm got rid of my frustration no more samsung
Honestly I've watched quite a few of these comparison videos and I just don't know what to believe at this point, feels like every youtuber has an agenda and no one can agree on the basic facts. Take battery life; some people have said the Samsung is way better, some people have said the iPhone is way better. You said the iPhone is slightly better, but MrWhoseTheBoss did a battery drain test and the iPhone 16 Pro Max died when the S24 Ultra still had 12% left and lasted more than an hour longer. I think I'll go for the Samsung since it seems to always come out on top when people actually run objective tests rather than giving their subjective opinions
Need you to understand that benchmarks do NOT give you a baseline for daily usage. For example, pixel 9 pro (small one) gets 13.5h SOT in drain tests. That’s insane, does that mean the ram management, and efficiency is better? No, does that translate to real world use? No.
Honestly 24 is last years phone. 16 goes against 25. And still with time to prepare they always underperform, needed thousands of GB of RAM to do what iPhone does with just 4-6-8.
24 came out in Feb, iPhone came out last week. Both released in 2024. You could say the same thing about the iPhone 15PM vs. The S24 Ultra and say I’m being unfair to that phone. These are the devices that should be going head to head, they came out in the same year.
the focus is to be the best phone of that year it shouldn’t matter when it happens that year because will always look back the year rather than the month
@@Chris.Moralesi could see from both sides. I honestly think the closest release dates should be compared. S24u came out January 15th 2024 . So all the technology and final touches they put into this phone was from 2023 Where as the iphone 16 came out late September so they had most of 2024 to add the final tech and finishing touches. Also most big companies worry about "quarterly goals". No matter what though, like I mentioned before. The most fair would be to compare the 2 phones that have the closest release dates.
I have been using 12 pro max since 2020, I am thinking to switch as I have had lot of battery issues recently even after replacing the batteries, what would be a better option for me ? I use my phone mostly for office meetings, emails, sometimes TH-cam and other social media.. planning to keep the new device for 5 years...
if you like iOS, stick with with iphone (also iOS is a bit more smoother and less likely to have issues so for business i would recommend iphone) im currently an iphone user but going to the S24u after my current 13 pro max
If you're already all in the iOS ecosystem, it may be best to stay. Moving over is tedious. I have the S24U, it lasts all day no question. I worked 10 hour shifts, played music/video on breaks, checked media and left with over 60% battery (typically around 65-68, lighter days I'd leave with 75). I do the document scan from camera a lot, and sign PDFs with the s pen then shoot out the email. This phone is great for business. iPhone has better optimization and flow if you're used to it by now.
The other comments basically nailed it. I don’t think it’s worth switching if you’re already involved with other Apple devices. I’m aware Samsungs ecosystem works just as well and in some cases may be better, but apples feels very complete.

The anti reflective screen is a game changer move from samsung.. still amazes me away
the brightness doesn't hit your eyes hard even on max level and you'll never feels the eye fatigue with the s24u i like what they do with screen ❤
anti-reflection also is innovative
This ideology works only if you think people upgrade every year though
Apple already did decide on 2 year phone cycle

I was thinking the same. S24 brightness turned down. Don't care what he says.
The AirPods pros for me running and working out are perfect.

turning on adaptive brightness is the only and correct way to get the proper...full brightness from the s24 ultra display in bright sunny day...though its gets dim pretty quick.
Why make the 16PM always brighter in your shots when the S24U actually has a brighter display?

I wanted to buy new iPhone but this phone design is similar to last 2 years.i would prefer OnePlus 12 but that device camera are really bad.left with s24 ultra option but new generation will come in 3,4 months so i should wait.
Yeah unfortunately it is similar which is something Samsung is also doing too with the way their S24, S23 and S22 all look
Being in a rural area with poor coverage, I would like to know which phone is best for phone calls. Thanks
The s24u has the qualcomm x75 next-gen modem which has improved banding capabilities.
The iPhone 16 uses an X71 modem which is based on the X70. This is like comparing an x55 with an X65. The X75 should have better remote reception based on the modems banding capabilities.
DEX is fantastic. Not sure you mentioned that.
not really
Pretty sure most Samsung users don't use Dex

I recently (Late august) picked up the S24 Ultra. I also have the 14 pro max. I will upgrade to the 16 pro max later this year. I am fortunate to be able to afford both phones. I used to be a HUGE android fanboy (this s24 is my 8th samsung phone, the 14 pro max is my 3rd apple phone) but switched to Apple in 2023. What screen protector are you using in the 16 pro max?
in the end. real reason for using iphone is for the OS and interface.
I’ve been with iPhone for a long time but iPhone 16 shows nothing game changing new and I’m tired of using an iPhone thats why I’ll be switching to S24 ultra instead, and also the S24 ultra has more unique features then the 16 and it’s why I’m mostly switching or maybe the Z fold 6 ultra if it’s true that it’s coming out this month
In my opinion, the S24 blows the iPhone out of the water with photos
Ive been on Samsung for almost 12 years and im actually thinking of going to iphone now.
I was in a similar boat to you, I switched over to the iPhone in the beginning of this year, and one thing I will say is that the iPhone camera system is simply better all around.

If you use Samsungs anti reflective screen protector it is still more anti reflective compared to the iPhone.

I suffer from headache due to phone screens, and the s24U has this relaxing look, even almost e-ink like. This alone would make me stick to using it.
It’s due to the PWM, you need a phone with a very high PWM
You suffer from headaches due to phone screens?? 😂 Tf kind of skill issue is that?
Nah it’s very common, it’s the way the screen is flickering. You don’t see it because it’s happening fast, but some people have a light sensitivity or PWM sensitivity that can cause blistering headaches. This used to happen to me too it’s horrible.
S24 has a next-gen 5g modem (x75) and the iPhone doesnt... you know... the only thing that ACTUALLY matters on a cellular device!
It's crazy that Valis blocked me on Twitter for criticising him of the same thing he's now doing. Which is offer a fair compare and contrast criticism between Apple products and WINDOWS AND ANDROID

It really comes down to personal choice, both phones are fantastic, but the iPhone had one tiny bug.
The Iphone's bezels look super impressive. But i just know Samsung is about to go just as thin or even thinner
Keen to know what was the screen brightness when you kept the phones side by side. Looked to me that you kept the S24 Ultra on a lower brightness
Both at max
@@valismind that is really surprising to see. I use S24 Ultra and when i compared the iphone 16 pro max side by side the difference was not that stark (how it looked in some of the clips in your video)
It eliminates the coating unless you buy a Samsung, anti reflective one.

They're both sick phones. Weird how so many people dump on one and hold the other up as a holy grail lol

Doesn't matter...all about the OS that works the best for you. Not really about the phone
No.
A brand new S24U would give you more battery boosts
S24 ultra is brighter than iphone in irl but due to reflective coating in video s24 ultra seems dimmer
What wallpaper do you use?
It is Gorilla Glas Armor.
Just have to wait for the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
@@valismind technically yes, but they design 25 trying to beat 16, just like Apple designed 16 trying to go on top of 24.

@@Chris.Moralesi could see from both sides. I honestly think the closest release dates should be compared.
S24u came out January 15th 2024 . So all the technology and final touches they put into this phone was from 2023
Where as the iphone 16 came out late September so they had most of 2024 to add the final tech and finishing touches.
Also most big companies worry about "quarterly goals".
No matter what though, like I mentioned before. The most fair would be to compare the 2 phones that have the closest release dates.

if you like iOS, stick with with iphone (also iOS is a bit more smoother and less likely to have issues so for business i would recommend iphone)
im currently an iphone user but going to the S24u after my current 13 pro max
Thank you all for providing your insights, I think I have the clarity now.
