Btw...dont use any other gasket, like cork or even rubber ones that are pre-cut. Just use rtv black gasket maker. I had to redo mine because I noticed a tiny drop of leak every other day.
@@bmancars3237 it may have been the way you installed the gasket. You always want to tighten the bolts in a cross pattern, otherwise the 2 mating surfaces aren't going to be even. You can snug them up going in a circular direction but when tightening them to whatever spec, you want to do the cross pattern.
Nice Video man.! I really appreciated it
I was going to say, use both always: new gasket + gasket maker, and torque bolts correct !! No leaks =)
Nice video, very helpful. Do the front and rear differentials use the same cover?
Nice video, how long did it take for the whole process?
Can you apply brake cleaner to clean the interior once it's exposed?
Was that a green cloth or very fine sandpaper??? Very good video also, much appreciated...
Its a semi rough scrub pad. Just to clean off the old gasket and make the surface clean for the new RTV gasket maker.

What is that you are using to scrub? Soap? Get a can of brake cleaner and that crap will rush out of there
How did that gasket workout for you?
Do you have the part # for that pre-made gasket?
