This is a great review. I also saw your review on the Aftershokz Opencomm and now I’m unsure which of the two one would be better. My use case is: in office a couple of days per week, once a month travel. It’s important for me audio quality for others. If anybody has any suggestions…they’re welcome !
Best Buy just does not like to price match to Amazon the plantronics voyager 5200 the truck stops carry the 5200 I seen similar stuff on Amazon longer battery life my 5200 voyager came with the case I wonder if this will fit
They don't like when I pull up a product is shipped and sold by Amazon lol They get all anal about it but they must price match if that's the case. I think they should perform the same but for some reason Best Buy has models that are exclusive to being sold at their stores.
Thanks for the review. What’s the difference between 5200 and 5220 ? There are another head set out there with good comments (aftershokz opencomm), have you heard about these? Which of these do you thing would be better? I one to buy one of these but I can decide yet. Regards
Actually, I don't think there's any difference besides Best Buy having their own version sold at their stores exclusively. lol I actually reviewed the OpenComm headset here. th-cam.com/video/W2tRFcP2A_w/w-d-xo.html I'd say the OpenComm is drastically better in noise cancellation and sound with the microphone that the 5220. Your voice comes out much better. And it's way more comfy.
Hello brother. Can you recommend something under 40-45 bucks that has good call quality ? I have seen your video where you recommended against the Jabra 25
Are you looking for a mono headset or are you okay with something over the ear? Because something like the JLab Go Work Headset is very good and less than $45.
Does this have a hands free answer function? My Dad works with his hands and needs a headset that he can say “answer” without having to stop what he’s doing. He has an iPhone if that makes any difference. Thanks!
Best buy does that to screw you into their warranty and eliminates price competition by anyone else for the so called same product model because the model number is different. Many products and businesses do that like with car tires. I would rather avoid such products and businesses who do this an will not support them. The companies should not play part in these practices either.
10 percent of most people that own these say the battery starts to degrade after a few months and also, in just a year, the battery is not able to be charged any more. That would be okay if the 2 yr warranty was upheld, but these same people say that it is not and Plantronics has the worse cs. I'm looking for a reliable earset that has excellent quality and can last at least 2 years. This set sounds like junk to me for normal use.
Dang only one year and it's already dying? That sucks. I wish I could give a good update on this but I haven't used it everyday. It's actually been like 2 months since using it.
I used mine daily for few years… threw it in a drawer… just found it now about 7years or so later… and it STILL WORKS!!!! I’m using it RIGHT NOW LISTENING TO THIS VIDEO!! I can’t believe this thing still works
Spent over £100 for this used it nearly every day. After 6 months rubber was bubbling and splitting, started disconnecting now falling to bits and split in half. Won't buy another
@@TechOutAdam I've got Jabra Talk 45 but the volume it's really low and you cannot increase it and when I'm driving I'm really struggling to hear the one I'm talking with.
Get contacts. Step into this century. George Washington wore glasses almost the exact same ad the ones you're wearing now. What does that say about how outdated glasses are. We now have contacts or lasik that almost makes glasses obsolete.
Not everyone is eligible for Lasik. And some of us get allergies with contacts. I wore contacts for 4 years before I went back to glasses because I started to develop allergies. Glasses are also way thinner and more durable and reliable than they were during George Washington's time.
Just may have found a new mono bluetooth headset king. Let me know if you thought the mic test was good enough.
Killed it with the mic test!
Never seen much versatile mic test of any other device on any other channel!

I have this Plantronics headset and I love it.
I was using it in a coffee shop today on a few calls and it's so dang good! How long have you used it?
I have had it for awhile
Thank you! Forgot about the glasses. Saved me there

This or jabra talk 65 or something else? Which is the best

Yes it does. Whether it's a virtual assistant on your phone or when a call comes in you can say answer or ignore to enable this device hands-free.
Hey there .... can you use it in your left or right ear ????
You can use it in either ear
Did actually you watch the video?
He answers that quite clearly.
I just bought mine yesterday at Best Buy for 70.00
The tips break easy way to easy and yes the set fights sun glasses
Not loud enough. My voyager legend is twice as loud. Unless I had a bad one?
This is a different model than the Voyager Legend.
@@TechOutAdam I know. I bought this one hoping it was an upgrade and it seemed to be way lower on volume
Since you got both, do you think the legend is still worth it?
Is there a way to end the call hands free?
Last I remember you can answer a call hands free but not hang up hands free. I gave this headset to a friend otherwise I'd test it out again.
Is there a physical button to hang up the call? I can't find it, I'm always hanging up by pushing it on my cell phone. I hate that.
Does it have bluetooth 5.x?
No it's actually Bluetooth 4.1
Top tip put headset on first then drop glasses on easy peasy!
That is easier for sure!
Does yours have a usb connection?
Yes it does.
Have to buy one every year and they don’t work well on iPhones. The audio drops out and callers can’t hear you
That's good feedback to know. I haven't had any issues come up but if I do I'll comment an update for sure. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the feedback on the long term use of it!
Plastronics Legent is the best one, This Voyager 5500 is Terrible.

I still like the Jabra Talk 45 the best as far as sound goes for the microphone.
Thanks for this it was a good showdown!
