I love watching wing control surfaces doing their thing. Amazing how the inboard high-speed aileron and spoilers work in coordination to control the aircraft's banking and longitudinal axis stability.
Hey good nite , mr Dantorp, great, cool, thanks again for such a nice vídeo...the takeoff..the best part of the trip ever to me...it gets me high..!! lol..!! keep it up, all your planes vídeos are one of a kind,,,especiallly 'cause you don't put music on them...the engines sounds...the best air music ever..!! thanks..!!
Some airlines make up stories about how it's not OK to film with any device! So hide it from the crew but otherwise, you'll be fine recording with anything in flight mode :)
Great video, as always. Whenever I takeoff from Newark on 22R, I'm curious about the immediate left bank and then the sharp right bank. Maybe it's just the published departure for noise abatement and NYC traffic?
For now. However, some of those old Continental Airlines birds at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) will start being replaced by brand-new aircraft United Airlines has on order such as new Boeing 737-700/800/900s, the new Boeing 737-9MAX under development at Boeing, the new Boeing 787-8 and 787-9, the new Airbus A350-900 and possibly the new Airbus A350-1000. Hopefully, United will consider the new Boeing 747-8i or the new Boeing 777-8/9, which would also likely be used at Newark.
Jealous as hell! :-D My dad will record the flight for me and it'll maybe be uploaded on my TH-cam channel, but that depends on how good the recordings are :-) What were you doing in New York? Vacation?
now i like it more! 13 is my favorite number and July 16th is my sweetie's birthday! i probably worked on this aircraft that day! glad u had a good trip!
+Norwegian Boeing 737-800 The inboard ailerons move as the pilot makes roll controls during takeoff. My first instructor on the 727 explained that to me. A stronger crosswind is easy to figure out (aileron into the wind) but a variable crosswind requires that the pilot makes roll commands in response to the rolling moment exerted by the crosswind. If the pilot doesn't get it right, you get that lateral tugging and shaking at liftoff. The aileron moves as the pilot makes variable roll commands.
+Norwegian Boeing 737-800 +Gerard Moran is right for crosswind takeoffs that's what would happen but you would see the aileron moving as well. On the 777 and 787 the flaperon is put into bypass when T/O thrust is selected in order to relive the stress from the engine thrust on the actuators, when this happens you see the flaperon droop down due to gravity. As the airspeed over the wing increases the flaperon floats. At 80kts power to the actuator is restored and the flaperon moves back in line with its trailing edge flap position.www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/tech_ops/read.main/114281
not sure exactly when it changedn but FAA lets you use small electronics (camera, ereaders, smart phones) during all parts of flight so long as any data/cellular transmissions are off. some flights may offer wifi after a certain altitude.
+shades921 If you listen to the announcement before this take off it asks you to turn off all electronics. That is why I commented. Whatever the rules are, on this particular flight they asked for electronics to be turned off
+Alan Rhodes OK. this was taken in 2012. the FAA didn't allow electronics until October of 2013, and then it left it up to the airlines to decide on their own policy. So basically, this guy 'broke the rules' to capture the flight.
@@justincui Continental was good at blowing slides when the flight attendant couldn't wait to get off the aircraft in Houston trying to get home in a hurry.
So let me get this straight. All electronics are supposed to be off right??? I'm asking cuz Im about to go on my first flight and Im gonna have to have some music to listen to
The newer 777s (300ER, 200LR, and Freight) all have raked wingtips which give a comparable amount of fuel efficiency. Having winglets would make the wingspan too long, though time has changed.
I love watching wing control surfaces doing their thing. Amazing how the inboard high-speed aileron and spoilers work in coordination to control the aircraft's banking and longitudinal axis stability.
It was amazing! It doesn't get better than I whole row to yourself in economy class :D Thanks for watching mate!
I really like that ambient music in the beginning, accompanied with the sight of several aircraft out the window.

And I can almost feel the lovely wonderful summer early evening here in Jersey! It will be here again soon!
One of your "best" evening takeoffs! Thanks again!
just awesome no other words to describe it
What an amazing climbout!! Great views of NYC too =) Excellent vid Dan .. greets from Canada
Those darn wings always get in the way of a good view
Yea they should get rid of them then you'll have a great view of the soil lol
The conversation at 4:40 is awesome.
I know! Such a natural flyer
I know! Love 1080p
1st :D I really love your videoss!!!! they are GREAT!
No problem! Thanks for watching! :D
LOVE THE VIDEO!!!!! IT'S LIKE THE SIZE ALMOST LIKE A JUMBO JET
Thanks mate! I'm happy to hear that :D
dit ziet er weer heel mooi uit, prachtig beeld.wederom bedankt,Dantorp.greetz:Peerke.
the surfacing and the buildings look like its all brand new
i love racing against the planes as they take off or land. Runway 22/4 r/l run parallel to the new jersey turnpike. I live in Jersey.
nice! I flew TWA transatlantic the 90s and you had your pick of most rows aft of the wing.
i can tell its 2 GE90-94bs pushing the bird. They have a very distinct sound
Yepp! Almost all United flights out of Newark are operated by old CO planes :D
Thanks a lot man! Gotta love the 777 ;)
Glad you liked it bro!
I sure am! If you ever fly from NY to London! Take UA28! Almost always empty :)
Amazing! My dad is going to fly with this big boy next week :)
THanks man! I'm happy to hear that ;)
Newark has a very short runway, hence the short takeoff roll :) Thanks a lot for your kind words bro :D
Wow is that one of the Dreamliners I see at 0:38? Man, you're so lucky.
I think the experience is better on larger United planes. I know someone who just flew on a UA 787, and she loved the flight!
So gorgeous bird my favorite
I use Sony Vegas pro 11 :)
I like that "GLOBE" tail design much better.
they shoulda kept the tulip U
I know! So true! It's kind of freeky actually! I prefer 100% or empty! 50%-90% percent kind of sucks :)
The total trip cost for all my flights this summer was about $1400 per person :)
Thanks bro! :D
Glad you liked it man! ;)
It's amazing !!!
This is amazing!! I am in love with your videos(:
Wonderful! Beautiful! :) Such a great aircraft! :)

I know! Cheap :) I usually book my flights on United. com or Lufthansa. com! However, Expedia. com is every good too :) This trip was booked on LH :)
GREAT JOB and thx for this detailed descriptions :-)
Wow! Was that on United? :)
Thanks you so much man! I appreciate it :D
love this video
Thanks a lot man! I was super lucky :D
I really appreciate that bro! :)
Nice work man! :)
yes, this is a UAL with the GE90-94bs
Aww, that really sucks :( Thanks a lot bro!

AWESOME!
The CEO of the Current united is the old continental CEO. + the old United CEO chose the Continental Livery over the old United one.
Gorgeous! :-D
Nice video!) you have a great video channel :)
holy cow! that thing just wanted to fly!
Great video

I appreciate it man :D
I'm finding it freakin' crowded lol! I loved it though! Just got home to Sweden a few days ago :) Are you from London? :)
Cool! What route? :)
Yeah! First class minus the service and food :P
Continental FTW!
Copenhagen -(SAS A340)- Watchington D.C. -(United B777)- San Fransisco :-) I can't remember the route back because it's different...
LOL, atleast you're not living in the thick of it ;)
awesome video btw :)
Great video, Newark is a nice airport and how was the service from united
Nice!!
Çan you show me future flight schedules
nice job with the camera.
can i use the sound please ? grins

Jack M - that's another 777 on the ramp at :38
I have one question dan, is it okay to film with mobile, Ipad if you have airplane mode activated? :) Btw Nice video
10:10 LET'S RACE BRO
very good
Where is it going to?? Newark to lax?
Probably empty cause theres better airline choices other than United to go across the Atlantic ;) Great video!
great video; but can someone who knows please this answer this question?

Joel Stanley makes more sense now thanks.
Thanks Joel. I never checked out on the 77 or 78.
767 Luxury Liner!~!! =D
Lol London is unreal at the moment? How are you finding it :P?
Never was a fan of United Airlines and I only have flown on Continental once.
no winglets????
ge 90 engines right???
There was an announcement before take off asking people to turn off phones
and all electronics. So how was this taken?

I want to capture video with my go pro I have just the hero has no wifi hmmmmm i'll figure that out
continental was a wonderful airline; united was excellent for running over guitars!
That was after Continental took over!

second, they are in high quality!

Hello Dantorp Aviation,
may I use these sounds for a flight simulator video? I will give full credit?
Thank you!
So let me get this straight. All electronics are supposed to be off right??? I'm asking cuz Im about to go on my first flight and Im gonna have to have some music to listen to
Not anymore! Most electronic devices can be on the whole flight :)
I am flying in 3 months from FRA to EWR, so please Dantorp Aviation, would you please tell me, what seat that was. Was that 40A ?
Caillou Tentakel Always check my description for basic information like that :) Have a nice flight!
Sorry, i forgot.thank you for such quick response.
I always reserve a window seat, near one of the exit rows. There is a never a guarantee, but there are always certain safety precautions.
you fly a lot Dantorp do you work and travel a lot ??
is this a continetal bird?
is it normal for the flaps to move like that constantly??
It's a flaperon - mix of aileron and flaps. It does both, so it is quite normal.
As are June and July
I'm jealous! You moust be too bro haha??? :D
