I have the Nismo roof rack. Its does have wind noise, but no “whistling.” The cross bars are super strong, but hasn’t let me down carrying my Roam case or kayak. Let me know if you need more feedback.
Z1Offroad makes aluminum skid plates....I bought the set from them, they are 5 mil thick aluminum. They are heavier than the stock flimsy skid plates but well worth it honestly.
Have you heard of ASFIR? They make all aluminum skids for 2nd gen which means it works on 3rd gen. The guy who runs all dogs off-road rocks them on his build.
