      Thanks man, I've been wearing it and I gotta say it's awesome on the jubilee. It was already super comfortable, so it's nice to have the ability to totally change the looks for a relatively small outlay.

    Good video, I just installed the shiny centre link version on the bb54, absoloutely love it! Wasn't too keen on the friction pins at first but after sizing it up, that's a total non issue now. The End links tolerances are brilliant, real nice tight fit.

      Hey Julian, I have no idea on this - The lug width is 19mm on the bb54, what is it on the bb36? The only way to find out is to probably try it or check the forums. Naturally Tudor oem quality will always be best but honestly uncle ain't bad for the price. Sorry I couldn't help more but if you find out please let us know, as it may help others who are in the same situation as yourself. Thanks for watching man.

  • @solefreak2
    @solefreak2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would've been helpful if you had shown step-by-step of how to reinstall the spring on the first part of the bracelet. The rest looked pretty straight forward. Also, how does it feel on wrist compared to the Oyster Tudor bracelet?

    • @wristshotter7832
      @wristshotter7832  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Solefreak, when you say the first part - Do you mean the end links? That's the bracelet part that goes in the middle of the lugs. As you mentioned it's certainly straight forward providing you've got the tools, the tiny screw driver and the link adjusting tool. To be honest, there's not much difference in the feel as the watch was already quite light, I had a decent fit and it's certainly not top heavy like a BBPro. Out of the box the BB54 wears really nice. This jubilee does have a little jingle / jangle when you take it off but that's part of the jube charm. I'd say it's perhaps a little bit more comfy-er but marginally so (not a huge difference in my opinion, also I have the T-fit), this is more of a mod that just jazzes it up. Makes it feel like a time warp and looks like a different watch. Thanks

    • @solefreak2
      @solefreak2 ปีที่แล้ว

      would've been nice to see how you got the little part that flips up and down on the clasp but think I can figure it out. I'm tempted by this but want something that is more comfortable, the oem rubber strap maybe. @@wristshotter7832

    Just got mine and I really like the design. However, with my 6.25” wrist, the strap is a little long for me. The links are already adjusted but still not satisfied and could not adjust it anymore since it is the last link on both sides. But one thing I really hate is the OEM clasp sits way much to the right. I mean it is not centred when you look on the clasp. It really bothers me just like how my Pelagos 39 and can not do anymore to correct the strap. Thought of destroying the fixed link on the Uncle Seiko but how?

    • @wristshotter7832
      @wristshotter7832  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, thanks for watching the vid and commenting - Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I like thinking of solutions and I think I have one. You will need a tool that prys the fixed links apart - I've seen people use and do it when they re-pin old Rolex jubilee and oyster videos. Maybe that tool will help you take it apart and then reduce the length of the fixed links. You'd only able to buy this tool at a proper watch maker parts store like HS Walsh or most watch maker / repair shops will have one and be able to do it for you. That's the only way I think you could solve this? Sorry I don't know the name of the tool

  • @MotoSjaak
    @MotoSjaak ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for this in depth review. I've been looking for a good quality jubilee bracelet for my 54 for a while now. I couldn't find one that i was convinced of mainly because of the downgraded clasp that come with them. I love that i can use the OEM clasp on this bracelet so i will be ordering one for sure. The only problem now is to pick between the fully brushed or the half polished😂. Why did you go with the fully brushed over the half polished?

    • @wristshotter7832
      @wristshotter7832  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey MotoSjaak, thanks for watching and commenting. I love the jubilee on the 54 - The end links really do have a perfect proportion on them, I have a jubes on my Pro and 58 as well and whilst it's great on them both it's amazing on the 54, it looks oem and just gives it a different style. The compatibility with the glidelock is ace - Really is great. Brushed or half polished - It's a hard one and to be fair there's no right or wrong. I personally preferred brushed but the 54 could work very well either way. I had polished on my Pro and it did suit it and that's a proper toolish looking watch. I personally don't need my 54 to be dressy even though it's got them perfect vintage proportions and would work really well in a variety of situations (dressy, sporty & dive). As I've already got some other dressy pieces, however if I didn't then I'd probably have gone polished as this would be a very fitting alternative. I also think the 54 doesn't work that well on leather due to the smaller case size and slightly larger lug width of 20mm, unless you had an aggressive taper, it would be better on leather with 18mm or at a stretch 19mm lugs but then it would look a lot smaller when fitted with a bracelet. So in a nutshell my opinion is if you were ever going to use it dressy then go polished if not then matt is fine. Either way you go it will look great 👍

      @MotoSjaak ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wristshotter7832 thanks for the reply. I ordered the fully brushed bracelet a couple of days ago. It was the safer option for me. I might even purchase the half polished bracelet in the future to switch things up

    • @wristshotter7832
      @wristshotter7832  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Anthony, I think it might be a bit of a struggle. Did he say that would also be the same if you used his own clasp? I know there's usually size restrictions if using the oem clasp. Another solution could be to take the jubilee bracelet to a jeweller / watchmaker who performs re-pinning on the old Rolex bracelets - It's a bit of a specialised job, so your typical mall / high street jeweller won't understand. They could probably take his bracelet apart and then resize it correctly for you. Hope that helps man!

    • @wristshotter7832
      @wristshotter7832  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks for watching and commenting, yes the 54 is the thinnest Black Bay in their diving line up. I used to think that the 58 was the perfect thickness as it's very similar to a 5 digit sub. The 54 is just that bit slimmer numberwise but feels a lot slimmer especially on the jubilee. Hope that helps
