JB - Forstner all the way. Forstner started in 1920 and was acquired by Jacoby Bender in 1963 who in the 60's - 70's provided Rolex Jubilee bands for models sold in the USA to lower the import tariff. In 2019, Forstner, and its Komfit band, were re-launched. What's even cooler with the new releases is it says JB on the clasp. The added quality including the screw links over the push pinned Uncle Seiko makes it a no brainer to me. I believe to stay cost competitive almost all Forstner's are no longer US made same as with Uncle Seiko however overseen by Forstners so the quality is there.
The Tudor clasp will fit onto the Uncle Seiko on the BB41 GMT. No modification required on the Tudor clasp, so can be easily fitted back onto the Tudor bracelet. I’ve worn my BB GMT loads more now it’s sat on the Uncle Seiko
I think this confirmed exactly what I was thinking between the two - Forstner seems to be much better quality, however doesn't come in fully brushed, and is more expensive. I ended up going with the uncle seiko for the more discrete look, but definitely would go the forstner instead if I was after a traditional polished jubilee bracelet.
The Forstner hands down takes the win for overall quality, but the Uncle Seiko is more to my liking. I like how the Uncle Seiko's tapering is much less aggressive and I also like the brushed finish too. Since making this video I have removed the mirror polish on the Forstner so it does look much better now in my opinion.
I don't change out my higher end watch bracelets. But I do look into trying to change out my homage/lower end watches. But I'm not willing to pay for a bracelet that's worth as much as the watch. Good video brother 👊🏽
I have a lot of SanMartin because they are extremely good quality for the price and I like the designs even though they are not original. The most I've spent on one is for the 62 Mas chronograph which I love. I feel like this is a stretch for one of theirs. It doesn't help that I can't make up my mind about it..
That's quite a price difference compared to here. At those prices the Uncle Seiko is a bargain and the Forstner is still priced fairly. But even so I still prefer the Uncle Seiko based on the less aggressive tapering.
It is possible, but it's not as simple as removing springbars from the Uncle Seiko clasp. The Uncle Seiko bracelet attaches to the safety-tab side with a riveted pin so you will need to mess around with it to remove it.
can you please tell me the reference of your tudor? I think it's the black bay steel. However, according to my request from uncle Seiko, the bracelet should not fit. I would be very happy about a feedback! Is ist 79730??
Do you think an Uncle Seiko would fit the Casio Duro? Usually avoid polished cases but last month I had to try a jubilee on a new blue dial Casio Duro. Rookie mistake i went with a $20 jubilee off amazon. Looks amazing like I hoped. The brushed balances out the polished and the blue just gleams like car paint but the cheap sharp end links destroyed the watch. Lesson learned. Great jubilee review by the way!
Lifting my spirits that day I stumbled upon the Casio Edifice EFR-564D-2AVUDF. The Edifice dial teeters on too busy but it's blue dial, blue numbers on a flat brushed steel bezel and the case almost has a Nautilus look. Larger watch but really has it's own thing going on
You cannot swap the Forstner clasp with an OEM Tudor clasp because the Forstner links by the clasp are smaller (technically you could but nobody in their right mind would think that looks good). For the Uncle Seiko clasp, theoretically you could swap them out because the width is the same for the links and the clasp. Unfortunately the links do not attach to the clasp (on the side with the safety tab) with a simple spring bar. They are attached via flathead pins that will need to be replaced after removal. Long story short: it's possible.
RECENTLY BOUGHT UNCLE SEIKO AND WHAT A JOKE.. sent me an angus link jubilee with a crooked clasp latch and deployment buttons.. 22 mm, barely fit, had to mallet it in, and was a disaster!! Sticking to my original pressed clasp seiko jubilee for now.. uncles finishing was also worse than my seiko.. i blame quality control. Just being honest
Mine was a bit rough around the endlinks which I tried to show in the video. Not good at this price range. Fortunately everything else was fine. I currently have it on my Black Bay 41 (79540) and it's fantastic.
OMG, the fumbling w/ tiny components, of my fat, mongoloid fingers!!!! Lol. For the most part, I do all of my own "basic" watch repair, and maintenance, but I seriously have no idea how watchmakers do it. And I'm an extremely, mechanically inclined individual. I just do not have the patience, for small components. I feel your pain on that one. Ahhhh yes, the age old bracelet assembly debate.....to screw, or not to screw??? That is the question. I, much like yourself, prefer "pin & collar," over "screw-pins." Yessssss.....I said it!!!! LOL. In all seriousness, I do feel that it is the most secure way, of affixing the bracelet, w/ obviously better longevity, when compared to "clipping-pins," in the durability department. Obviously, I feel that screws would be the pinnacle of durability, but slightly less secure, than both alternatives. As for overall visual preference....the win goes to, the Uncle Seiko. I too, have a fat sweaty wrist, and as such, prefer less of a taper, and thicker links. In the clasp department, I have to go, w/ the Forstner, as well. That said though, I do find the "Strap Code style" of clasp, to be acceptable. More than anything, I feel that the finish of the Uncle Seiko, matched that of the head of the watch, much better. I felt as if the Forstner, appeared to be a little "too refined," than the head of the watch in question. Which, I believe that you did, as well. Excellent comparison video, DK. Thank you for sharing them

Wow, excellent lesson in history👌. Thank you for the knowledge
Hopefully Forstner releases a satin/polished oyster steel bracelet for the Tudor watches.

No modification on the Tudor clasp but a little on the Uncle Seiko. For now I will keep the US bracelet as it is.
Do you mind sharing how you did this please. I’m unable to take the uncle seiko clasp off the jubilee. I was able to take the Tudor clasp apart.
@@omkardesai13 you need to grind off the clasp lock pivot pin. I used a small round engraving bit on a Dremel, it took about 20 seconds to remove
@@CB-DW thanks!!
@@CB-DW thanks!!
From what I’ve read the original Forstner bracelets were used on Speedmasters during space and also moon landings.
Very cool. I do vaguely remember hearing something about that. Thanks for the info🤘
The Forstner for the win in my opinion
One of the best aftermarket bracelet brands IMO.
Love the forstner clasp and tapered look.
Planning on ordering some of their other bracelets too.
@@MT-kx2uc damn, get out of my head. I ordered the Komfit on Saturday!😂
UNCLE SEIKO you can put the OEM Tudor clasp on. Can you do that with Fostner?
Thanks helped me to decide which one to get
Glad I could help🍻
Great video! Your bb looks awesome on the jubilee!
I highly recommend it if you're in the market for a new braclet🤘
Thanks for the video, I have the US and I find the edges are a little sharper than I like.
US could do with a little touching up, especially at the premium they are charging

Odd that the Forstner buckle is inverted with polish and brush compared to bracelet.
Do they fit on the BB CHRONO too?? Love the Forstner ❤
2024 retail on the BB jubilee with TFit clasp: 975 usd shipped
Forstner for the Win!!! Like you though both look great and either work well. #BIGTIMEGANG #PrestigeSyndicate
Forstner makes 🔥 bracelets.
hello. Are the endlinks of both products the same size? Is it possible to attach the forstner strap to the Uncle Seiko endlink?
They are both interchangeable with each other, although I have to ask why you are asking? Are you planning on swapping them out?
Awesome content bro... great info💯👊🏼💥
Thanks brotha🤘

I think you may have commented on the wrong video
Hi Thanks for the review and comparison. Would the bracelet fit old BB41 Smileys? Thanks once again.
Appreciate you stopping by🤘 I cannot say 100% for sure. Best bet would be to contact either brand directly and ask so you don't waste any time/money.
how is the rattle compared between the two?
Same? It's not noticeable on either
Will these bracelets fit a rolex 16710 GMT?
They will not
In UK uncle seiko is £95 and Forstner £152.. Uncle S also produces a polished centre link version.
That's quite a price difference compared to here. At those prices the Uncle Seiko is a bargain and the Forstner is still priced fairly. But even so I still prefer the Uncle Seiko based on the less aggressive tapering.
Will this fit with the Black Bay Chrono M79350 as well?
Yes. They share the same lugs with all other 41mm Black Bays.
Is it possible to put the original Tudor clasp on the Uncle Seiko bracelet? I think the clasp of the original is just far better.
It is possible, but it's not as simple as removing springbars from the Uncle Seiko clasp. The Uncle Seiko bracelet attaches to the safety-tab side with a riveted pin so you will need to mess around with it to remove it.
They sell bracelets that fit the original Tudor clasp
can you please tell me the reference of your tudor?
I think it's the black bay steel. However, according to my request from uncle Seiko, the bracelet should not fit. I would be very happy about a feedback!
Is ist 79730??
79730. Not sure what theyre smoking at Uncle Seiko but it fits perfectly.
Thank you. I am very happy about your quick reply and about the identical reference.

I do not know if it will fit, but a bracelet from Uncle Seiko costs more than your Casio.
Unfortunately the endlinks do not fit the Casio Duro. I just tried and the lugs on the Duro are not long enough.
That's it exactly, around double the price. Gonna leave as is, and the watch still looks awesome in the case.
Lifting my spirits that day I stumbled upon the Casio Edifice EFR-564D-2AVUDF. The Edifice dial teeters on too busy but it's blue dial, blue numbers on a flat brushed steel bezel and the case almost has a Nautilus look. Larger watch but really has it's own thing going on
The Uncle Seiko Skx Bracelet with hallow end links will fit the Duro. I have it on mine.
Oh it's too late bro, this is definitely a versus. I'm the customer and the customer is always right 😎😁
Customer is always right, unless the customer gets caught stealing and ends up arrested like our favorite content creator😂
Forstner doesn't have black bay 36 bracelet :(
They're pretty receptive to e-mails, so if they get enough requests for BB36 bracelets I wouldn't be surprised if they start working on one.
Can you not change out the clasp for genuine Tudor one? IMO it would look much nicer.
You cannot swap the Forstner clasp with an OEM Tudor clasp because the Forstner links by the clasp are smaller (technically you could but nobody in their right mind would think that looks good).

Telll us how you really feel about the COLD 🥶 and thoughtlesss construction of particular bracelets 🤣🤣🤣
My petty heart is as cold as the bracelet clasps I judge😎

I had bad experiences with the uncle Seiko razor. I’m out on them. I’ll stick with Strapcode and Forstner
Uncle Seiko puts out a 85% completed product. They just need to tighten up the remaining 15% and they'd be quite good.

On the Tudor groups people are always asking about which one they should get so I figured it was a good idea to show the difference between the two🤘
Nope
Very astute comment👌
