You mentioned that you only use the one snap ring to hold the base in, I recommend that you use both. the "spiroloc" holds the base in a bit farther and will prevent any issues with the cap being loose, or clicking/squeaking when you turn the truck.

These hubs really worth the money, I just drove the truck and it locks and unlocks without any problems easily.

I think they are a lot better than factory ones. Stainless steel according to the box that they came in and website. Also, no plastic parts on them. I have not drove the truck yet since installing. These hub lock shorter than factory ones by 1 1/4 inches. I do recommend them since they come with life time warranty and on the box it states "go and abuse them".

Your suppose to bend the c-clip in a u shape so the hub doesnt rock back and forth like yours does. That play will cause the outer cap to move and then dirt/water/mud/etc will get pass the o-ring and into the hub. If you read the instructions it explains what to do with pictures also. And you shoukd have bought Warn Premium hubs, Mile Marker hubs strip internal gears all the time. They use cheap metal

You went from auto hubs to manual hubs right? So now your shift on the fly doesn't work anymore unless you stop the truck and lock your hubs in right?
