  • In today's video I'm going to break down one of my most successful takedowns and passes.
Funny enough, they sequence together pretty well, which is why I teach them in sequence during this video, but obviously you can do them each independent of one another.
Whether it's Wrestling or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the Ankle Pick is a darn good takedown.
It's energy efficient, keeps you pretty safe from submissions if you hit it right, and worst-case scenario, you just lose the foot and avoid putting yourself deep underneath your opponents.
I love Headquarters Passing for BJJ because it's tight, can be used very slowly, and has worked for me very well at all levels of BJJ from local, semi-national, and world level events like ADCC trials.
I learned almost all of my Headquarters passing from Lachlan Giles on Submeta.io and can't thank him enough for giving me one of my favorite passing systems.
In this video we just review the Cross Knee through (far side knee cut), but there is so much more to do from there.
Anyways, if you were looking to level up your BJJ or Wrestling, then I hope you found some value in this video (I know it was a bit longer than normal - but I want to make that the norm!)

    Thanks for watching!
