thanks for sharing this video. I too will be booking with SQ soon for my flight in June. One of my friends told me to book the seats in row 11, because the foot rest when she slept was not on an angle. So hopefully i can get that. When i took SQ in the past after sleeping in an angle in business class, my lower back was sore when i got up. Thank goodness for Tylenol.
We were once upgraded to Air Singapore business class from Singapore to Hong Kong. It was really marvellous, especially after having flown to Singapore on Vietjet. However, I appreciate your comments about Qatar airlines. It looks like like it was better than Air Singapore….no mean feat…..thanks for these videos….
Ok 4:49 EWR is my home airport, and I've taking so many flights out of there that I probably can't give you an accurate number. In all of my departures, I've NEVER had a flight taxi all the way to the very begging of this runway (22R). We've always departed from the spot that you see all of the others departing from here. I guess this show just how much runway is needed for an A350-1000 ULR considering the amount of fuel that is on board for a 19 hour flight. Guess I now know what to expect when I finally take this flight!
TH-cam just recommended you to me and I'm glad they did - I love Singapore Airlines - I'm full of nostalgia for the big trip I made to visit family from the UK to AU late 2019 before it all went pear shaped. I flew Business Class on SQ A380, A350 and 777. IMO the A380 was the best overall experience (LHR - SIN), the 777 best for sleeping and the A350s (but regional not ULR) a bit too much style over function of the seat 'pod' - it could have been better laid out IMO. But I found the catering via Book the Cook to be exceptional - but then again, I was on a big personal trip at my own cost (not a business trip) and don't normally travel Business Class so I was blown away. You missed out on the satay pre dinner snack - that was delicious! Subscribed - thank you
I agree 100%; the quality of Singapore Airlines has slipped dramatically. And the odd angle of the seat and cramped footwell is ridiculous in a long haul business class product. I now consider them a third-tier airline.
Are Singapores annoying biz class seats the same as for int’l flights within Asia? I recall the older SIA biz class seats on the NY-SING flight from Newark slid your feet and legs down (not up like you showed on this video) under the seat in front of you.
I am using a DJI Pocket 2. It is very easy to use. They have just released the DJI Pocket 3 and I'm deciding whether to upgrade. Thanks for watching - and enjoy your flying!
The meals are not from Singapore airlines. It is from a catering company that Newark airport uses. The food the catering company makes leaves a lot to be desired. Lot of complaints about the food, but it is not the fault of the airline. The best seats are the bulkhead seats as you do not sleep at an angle.
The only thing with SQ flight out of NY is the business class lounge at both JFK and EWR is BAD! Absolutely BAD! The flight and service can’t really complain.
thank you for sharing, just curious, do you just book the business' class seat ticket with the Krysfler miles or use the mile to upgrade after paying for ticket 1st ? as long as you have enough miles, do they automaticity let u use to upgrade or it must be summit to get their approval ? thank you
I bought the ticket outright with miles. There is more certainty doing it that way than buying a lower class ticket and hoping to upgrade. If you look far enough in advance, there is quite good availability for Saver Award tickets. I have had less luck in the past trying to get upgrades to purchased tickets.
@@cruisingandsnoozing1479 that is is good to know, thank you ! so as long as you have miles in Krysfler account, they will let us use it to buy ticket outright , sorry, one more Question please , if i have the miles, can I buy multiple ticket for family or must every one buy under their own Krysfler account ? thanks again
@@B.H90 I believe you can buy multiple ticket from the one Krisflyer account, so long as the account owner is one of the passengers. I have never done it though.
I enjoy your videos. Especially on the business class reviews. Ever flown Turkish? Based on your travels I look forward to the Cathay review. Fly safe!
I took Qatar Airways Business Class (QSuites) from Manila to JFK last fall. If it were possible, I’d never take another airline, but it looks like Singapore Airlines this fall.
It was as bad as it always is for me going half way around the world. But I spent the following week at a resort in Phuket so that made the adjustment quite bearable!
When I arrived on an A380 early Saturday morning flight from LHR I was the first through a totally empty immigration - literally no-one but me and the rest of the flight behind me - awesome!
I have seen this over and over again... the seating is a little uncomfortable (especially when you have to sit at an angle just to stretch your feet) and the food is pretty average... for the price you pay, I would be pretty disappointed
lounge qatar food qatar, airport singapore orders shopping in aircraft singapore, departure time for me qatar when fly to arrival time singapore do hope for a bulk head on singapore crew are exelent on both.
All the airlines has cut back a lot...flying Business class is not as great anymore,so you are really paying for extra space and a lay flat seat...comfort first...the food and wine is nothing to brag about anymore..

You're the first review I have seen that mentions the angle of sitting is kind of weird, nice work!
Yes it is weird - but it's OK for sleeping.

They have a number of different business class products. I think the new regional product is better designed but I haven't tried it.
Excellent video, thanks for sharing ❤🙏
You are so welcome!
Nice vid with great insight, would love to experience an ultra long haul flight in business someday!
respect for the crew
What camera are you using to record your videos on the plane. The quality is great!
I fly this route each November! Love the flight.

Can the airline not find another supplier though?

@@cruisingandsnoozing1479 Thank you again for the advice!!
service food on qatar oh boy, but what was return prices are now 1 way prices on qatar
So you can't tilt the IFE screen at all?
Not in a way that compensates for the weird seat/foot rest position.
Do you live in Singapore or London? A350 definitely beats the A340-500 I used to fly on. I’ll have to check out Qatar
I live in Australia!

Great video. The meal service looked pathetic for business class! And the jet lag of 12 hours would take me days to recover from!
huh looked pretty good to me but has been 3 years since i have taken business class to Asia
I can confirm the amenity kit is by request from the flight attendants!
Thanks!
Great flight report! Their meal/sleep schedule seems like a receipe for a massive jet lag. How bad was it?
It was as bad as it always is for me going half way around the world. But I spent the following week at a resort in Phuket so that made the adjustment quite bearable!

Newark is not New York, is New Jersey
No kidding
15:51 I've never seen immigration that empty at Changi.
