    Far better than the Africa Twin! in every way. IT'S a beautiful motorcycle!!

    If they price it right, it will sell by the lorry load. Africa Twin is amazing spec, but comes with BMW price. This bike, on paper, has everything I want, let's see how it's priced.

    Triumph should do a Tiger 900 GT model (version) with tubeless spoked wheels. Shorter riders too want tubeless spoked wheels like on the Rally model!

  • @funguseater40
    @funguseater40 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Improvements look really good. Well done Triumph. Now they just have to get the price right and they should be on to a winner. Rally Pro would be my choice if I didn't have a Tenere 700 already 👍

  • @FanOWater
    @FanOWater 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I've owned three modern Triumph's with triples and always loved the motor, but felt the Tiger never offered enough for the price tag. It seems the Tiger is finally outfitted with parts to match the price tag. This will sell very well. cheers

    I'm very impressed with the 2020 updates! Great new look, a proper progression with headlight technology changing.

  • @MrAndrew1953

    I actually think it's moved ahead of the Africa Twin in its Rally Pro configuration. Lowered weight, Centre of gravity, ground clearance just inspires more confidence off road. Very impressed with the work Triumph have put into the engine and overall package.

    Been riding the Tiger 800 since 2012. I'm considering other brands such as Honda AT for more off road use. But with this new 900, it appears quite convincing.

    • @Speedytrip
      @Speedytrip 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Tiger 800 is a great bike, but the engine on the Africa twin has a lot more torque and character. Always depends what you're looking for. If you like smooth and refined, the Tiger is the better bike. If you prefer torque and character, the AT is the bike.

    • @rahsia019
      @rahsia019 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Speedytrip yes, I was considering a twin engine, I have ridden the AT before. But the new Tiger 900 has a different firing order 1-3-2 which sounds interesting. I will test it first next year.

    The Tiger 900 Rally Pro would be my first "wheel-buy" if I won the lottery! Size and function is just perfect for me... and I love the extras you get on the pro. Like the green coloration as well.

    These bikes seem to be amazing. A friend of mine has the Tiger 1200, he travelled the entire South America and most states in Brazil and the only problem he had was dropping the bike because of gravel on the road. Other than that the Tiger is totally solid. I'd love to try those 900 ones soon!

  • @francis105G

    The 2020 Triumph Tiger RallyPro will be a strong competitor with the Africa Twin, BMW 850GS, and KTM. I have a 2019 Triumph Tiger XCA and I have no problems keeping up or leading my friends who have those other bikes on the roads or trails...Well Done Triumph!!

  • @Speedytrip
    @Speedytrip 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Man your quick to post these videos! Keep it up! Not sure of the look, but I guess it might grow on me. Also curious to see how much torque they were able to add down low, that's always been the 800s' weakness, engine almost behaving like an inline 4.

    The choices in this segment are amazing. I'm planning to trade my Tuono 1100 this year for a midsize adventure and there are at least 4 options that I need to consider. Finding the one with the best on/off road balance is the key. Right now the list in order is: Tiger Rally Pro / AT 1100 /790R/ GSA 850

    All those previous X** model names ! Did they hire some computer programmers ( like me ! ) to do the naming?
    The Tiger styling is growing on me although I still much prefer the looks of my Speed Twin. I'm jealous of the Tiger's larger fuel tank, luggage options and things like a centre stand !
    I'm not yet convinced I'd want to take a 200kg bike off road, so it'd be the road going version for me, for touring. In the touring use case I really like the look of the discontinued Sprint.

  • @ScramblerStories
    @ScramblerStories 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I like the specs on paper, but the looks leave something to be desired for me. Maybe it'll grow on me. It's not the shape, it's the amount of aluminum colored bits similar to the Scrambler 1200. Not a hard fix, as I could black out those components, but still. We'll see once I see it in person. Specs look great though!

    I'd love to ride one, but not sure I'd buy. It's interesting both Triumph and Honda lowered weight, increased power, went to bolt on rear frame, lowered seat, and went to electronic suspension???

    Great looking bike with amazing tech. If I was in the market, sadly not, I would love one particularly the lower seat hight. If there’s very little to choose between this and the competition then perhaps the ‘Made in Britain’ tag could be the deciding factor. Great to see you and your dad recently. Thanks. Regards, Bob M.

    It looks like Competition really pushed this segment to impove.. Lighter weight lower center of Gravity always a plus..
    I really like the Low Center of Gravity Gas Tank in the KTM.. The Aftermarket should make gas tanks like the KTM uses for other Brands..
    Harley Davidson I think will be way behind other Brands by the time they have an Adventure bike in 2021 ..

    I'm baffled by the 1-3-2 firing order. If the old version is 1-2-3, then surely the new version is 3-2-1, so the only difference is that it fires right to left instead of left to right! Am I missing something here?

  • @sanketss84
    @sanketss84 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks a lot for sharing such and in depth update on the new tiger. It's going to go neck to neck against the new Africa Twin for sure but where triumph has an advantage is definitely going to be the weight being less on the bike. It also has quick shifter and slipper clutch. Honda has the DCT advantage and the adventure sports has bigger tank and better color schemes than tiger. It's gonna be difficult to pick one up.

    I don't see the logic in the the 1-3-2 firing order. If you run it in sequence it is 132-132-132132132 which is actually just 321. What is the difference bewteen 123 and 321?

    I bought a 800xc in 2012 in South Africa, nice engine but rubbish off-road compared to bm, ktm, and just kept up with ktm on road (+triumph pulled out of sa in 2017 screwing everyone who’d bought their product)
    8 years later & +100cc's....no better off-road and +3bhp :)
    But, if you were to buy one it’d cost you in the uk £4800 more than the 2012 version...

    A little disappointed with only 95 hp [same as the 800] . With a bigger motor you get more grunt anyway so why not a little more top end poke as well. Still , it looks and sounds like a good bike but will have it's work cut out to compete with the updated and more powerful Africa Twin.
