The Desert looks outstanding! I'd choose that one.
Great video of these two bikes, I would probably choose the Alpine se model as it's more road focused .
I think when special editions like this arrive it means there's an all new bike coming the following year...
Whilst I would normally agree with that we all know that Triumph like to milk every edition possible from all their models so maybe not in this case.

Yes you right , i wanted a xca and the dealer told me they are difficult to find and propose me a desert edition . He told me they will launch a new model soon , that's why the don't produce to much xca anymore . But like every change i don't think it will by a revolution , just some improvement .The design never really changed drastically over the years .

The Arrow does not add a fruity exhaust, it is the same sound as stock, just lighter. I think the XRx/XCx plus quick-shifter is the sweet spot for these bikes so a good move by Triumph to my mind.

Bought the desert one...he's right, already thinking about buying a tiger 1200 and this looks great plus sits nicely in the range. Got it for 13995
I just picked up a 3 month old Alpine with full expedition luggage & 680 miles on the clock for £13227. A bargain.
For off-road i’d take the new 900

Only the shaft drive would lure me onto one of the 1200s. At 5'8 I'm much more in favour of the 8-900s.
Actually you'd be surprised the 1200 might be as accessible (or more) to your height as the 800-900.
Pity they show these with the optional extra high touring screen that costs an additional £250. Shame on you Triumph !

new paint and discount because the big changes are coming in the next year I bet. not casting shade really, after all I also review triumph bikes XD I'm really just curious to see some bigger updates. Also, I daily ride a tiger 1200 can't stress the not casting shade enough.

When young, I was terrified by words like “vampires” and “bogeyman” - now that I’m old, it’s “upgrades”.
Are you going to ride this bike across continents? Are you prepared to spend big money on the recommended service schedules? If not, look elsewhere.
Euro 5 as well? Since not updated for 2020...
No mention of fuel capacity or burn. I've heard the triples a great engine but really sucks down the gas at higher speeds.
Fair point - I'll keep an eye out if I make future vids about this bike
So, Triumph have 'parts bin' the model with a few extra goodies... underwhelming. Triumph should have dropped the heated seat on it (neither BMW or KTM have that). All this tells me is that they have a lot of unsold 1200s and that a new 1200 is in the wings which will make the current 1200 (fatty) obsolete. People will buy a bargain, but not something you've just sprinkled a bit of tinsel on. My advice, wait 6 months.
Have you used a heated seat in -6°c or less. They are wonderful.
And spy shots of a new Tiger 1200 have been taken, as someone here predicted 3 months ago 😉

Great bike, but when are they going to get rid of those nasty grey handlebar buttons and upgrade that Mickey Mouse TFT screen? Otherwise, a perfect motorbike!
