@@SXTWLVE that doesn't sound right. you may still have your input too high. If the gain is above about 40 it starts to get the distorted sound. A good balanced setting is around 35 depending what else you have in the chain
@@SXTWLVE yeah turn the output full up… then dial back that gain to 35 maybe even 30. It’ll clean up the signal. 40 and 45 can get crunchy if you know what I mean
Dear BAE Team! Could you tell me please, mic input gain on these units (1073mpf) goes from 15db or 20 db (First mic input gain step is 15 db or 20db)? I emailed you twice but you are not responding
@@BAEAUDIO Thank you for the answer. I think it's very good!! Because these days modern mics have hight sensitivity and hot output. So 1073 mpf input gain begins at 15, while 1073 19" version with eq begins at 20 (the same as the vintage 1073), right?
@@phillipphillip367 What's preferable and why? I assume that the 15 is instead of the 20, but I'm new to this, so I don't know why this question is important. Thank you!
@@millies1264 The 1073 does not have a pad function, and some very sensitive and hot output modern mics such as the Neumann m149 require little preamp gain, especially on loud sources. So it seems convenient when you can lower the input gain down to 15dB. But with less hot mics you will be fine. m149 is an extremely hot microphone
I need the 2 channel MPF so bad. I dream about it nightly.
to have a cleaner sound, do I need to just turn down the Output and increase the input?
open the output fully
@@BAEAUDIO maybe my bae is backwards..when i open fully to the right, i hear more of the distortion/saturation

@@LashonEvans216 i keep it on the 40 and sometimes 45

Hi, please elaborate more on the Blend function? And how do you run both channels into the Blend?
I have one on the way
