Leonard Tristan I’ve recently started using a mono u87 overhead, 57 on snare and d12 on kick or a fet 47 jr for kick out only, just depends, all through 1073 preamps and eq’s and that’s all I need. Simple, sounds great, no phase issues and sounds finished. I don’t miss having to mix 12 mics. Sometimes simple is better. Cheers!
Great pres, those 1084s.
Thank you!
merci beaucoup pour la vidéo en tout cas . il y a peu de gens qui peuvent faire la démonstration en direct de ce genre de préamplis .
You always get great drum sounds.
Very cool EQ-ing instincts!
nice drumming too.....
Six BAE 1084s? That's some flexing.
You mean saving....
Do you like the Api sound on your drums.
so are 1084's just 1073 pre's with different EQ?
is that analogs?
seriously that last example was just a mono overhead ?
sounds really good

Wonder what’s under that white electrical tape?
My guess would be vintage Neve logos 😊 but from everything I've heard BAE are on par with vintage
les 1084 sont parmi les meilleurs au monde , avec les 1081 et 1073. Je rêve d'en posséder une paire un jour ...
Didn't want to give us those exact numbers on the overhead though! haha
Cool lesson. The ones with the tape are real 1084 neves?
How can a mic pre have tape? LOL
Eric Filsinger think he’s reffering to the far right 1073 modules with actual console tape on the top of them.
@@kolbypeoples6896 probably why he covered the logo.
I didn't like how eq'd that tom...
it's complimentary to the overheads
Hal Blaine BD?!
nice!
Sounds like a record
Uh... no.
LOLA!
That tom, first make it sound like a cardboard box by taping it, then try to make it sound "musical". Oh well...
