8:05 for reference 18 gauge is thicker wire and can still serve the same PURPOSE of 22 its actually more strands of copper than 22 gauge. You dont need to special order "THINNER" wire lol.

You guys need a wiring dude. The pinout between the 1.6 and 1.8 megasquirts are different. If your 90-93 1.6 ecu is powering, but the 96-97 1.8 ecu isn't the car might have the wrong harness in it. Check your pinouts. The +12v is in a totally different spot between the two.
FTC has said anything that says warranty is void if removed/use genuine parts to maintain warranty/ warranty shall not apply if you do not use licensed products and other things violates the Magnuson-Moss warranty act of 1975
all the megasquirts are basically the same thing, its just the connector and maybe some application specific changes but you can put a ms1 or 2 file on a 3 and basically make any car run with it.
@ those people commenting on the z saying the flywheel is not aline” if the flywheel is not aline it will trigger a vvt solinoid sensor error which shows that the timing is off but for the flywheel it self that Chris has it has a changeable timing grove plate those flywheel are trash because so much heat builds up and it looses the plate magic going to the sensor to read. If you notice before Chris change out his clutch he’s car ran great and when he decided to change the clutch it work for a while then he it started to fail. It’s 100% the flywheel do not get a flywheel with a changeable or replaceable time grove place get one that already built in it. It’s take trust to see that’s it really the flywheel that’s the problem. Get a flywheel that doesn’t have the changeable time grove.

Well I’m telling you that it’s your Flywheel trust me I did the same thing from un wrapping the wire harness to check for any short or broken wire or tabs nothing then I change the ipdm and still same problem then I change all the sensor and still the same problem. My car will start up sometimes and sometime it’ll run good and sometime it runs good but will rev at a certain rpm. So i figured since my fly wheel has a changeable timing groves and it must be bad and there might not be enough ground circulation going to the sensor to the grove plate . So I change out my flywheel and clutch minus well since I’m putting a new flywheel. And what do you know my G35 run way better and does not do what it used to do starts up right away with no problem. And by the looks of what you showed on the blog on your flywheel we have the same exact flywheel if you want picture of my flywheel that I had change let me know I’ll send you photos let me know and I’ll send you my email to confirm that it is the problem just trust me. *John B

I recommend getting some txl wire not that shit that’s not meant for hot engine bays. Will also look cleaner cause the insulation is smaller. Unless that was txl but didn’t look like it. Just a recommendation. Love the video no matter the content.

My burger tuning jb4 usb quit working with no power brand new so I took it apart and they made it crappy. The ground and power wires were exposed and touching so they shorted out. Maybe something weird going on with yours like that. I hope they fix it.

Make sure you remote mount the T for the oil pressure sensors or you're gonna have a bad time

Usually ideal is roughly double cup size for correct gas coverage! Especially stainless.
Did you use the supplied cord with the new ecu? Maybe the wires are in a different spot on the new ecu and cord?
