@@IdealMediaChannel to bad where inflated like 7% in the usa we have the highest inflation in the world fact how check the charts cheap cars aren’t cheap anymore because that
I would add all the RWD turbo Volvos to the list, not just the 740. They are lighter than many cars on this list and they actually have a big aftermarket in Europe so you can find mods easily etc etc
Volvos are great. The possibilities are endless with them. I want to swap in a an older T5 the 2.3 5cylinder turbo into a Volvo S90 and use a either a BMW transmission or a Supra transmission since it already has an Aisin in it shouldn't be too hard to make something work
All you need to drift a volvo is a rwd model, welded diff & stripped interior (& probaby should have a turbo) I can’t beleive they didn’t add it to the list.
I got into drifting with a Nissan hardbody. They are still really cheap and they come with the single jingle 240sx motor. You cannot go wrong with a cheap drift truck
i would love to get a hard body but down in hawaii it’s one of the most sought after car and all of them starts at 8k for like the third rebuilt engine. for anything that got some what clean paint your looking at 13k
You might have found one of the cheapest Fox Body in the country. Unless you have been under a rock they are one of the most sought after classic vehicles right now. 6k is pretty much a steal with that mileage listed, if it's all original with the mileage included. V8 Fox Bodies are not cheap otherwise.
Which is nonsense because they made a metric ton of them and stayed around 3-5k for nearly a decade in used markets. I know they suffer from the drift tax but it weirds me out to think people are paying big premiums for them.
For around $4,500 I found the mazda rx7 fc, which had a bad ford engine instead of a rotary engine. I also found a 1jz vvti and r154 5 speed gearbox for a total of $6500. I want to put them together and make a nice drift car.
What I would recommend is take your budget and double it. That should be what you expect to pay for a decent drift stud. Maybe it wont be double, but it will definitely be more than you expect
This is all pretty market specific. In my country, Z's and Fox Bodies are usually 10-15k+ and E36 manuals are up there too. Our scene is totally dominated by a certain RWD, turbo euro car that I shall not name.

Pretty much my thoughts. You only get about 220hp at the wheels and mods don't add enough to be worth the trouble, but with v8 torque and a nice aftermarket and low prices you are still beating out a lot of other contenders.
so what do you guys think of a fourth gen F-body(1998-2002)?
