- We spent the afternoon in The 9 Streets area of Amsterdam where a fry shop called Fabel Friet has gonna totally viral. So we had to try them.
The 9 Streets is a great place to shop, eat, and just kind of wander around. We found cool vintage clothes, an awesome dessert with our espresso, and, of course, these [not French] fries, which some call the MOST VIRAL FRIES IN THE WORLD.

We are Nate and Katrina, two American expats living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and traveling as much as we can to see what there is to see!
We balance a busy career and grad school while we explore Europe and beyond. We would love to visit every country in Europe while we live here, and definitely keep a list of our global “must visit” destinations.

You're a tourist when you eat fries with parmesan cheese. Just like poffertjes with nutella, stroopwafel with chocolate on it etc.

Easiest way to spend your holiday time. Go stand in a queue for fries. People are fucking stupid. Paying too much for in the best case average quality. Loved the way you handled it.

I walked past here eating chip from chipsy king then i seen the fries been served to people at fabel and hid mine in shame casuing Everyone in the que to laugh but on my next visit in August im heading ro fabel

Only tourists fall for these Tiktok / Insta viral sensations with "The Best" fries, stroopwafels, apple pie, etc. They're totally not representative of what we Dutch people eat. We eat fries from any local snackbar, stroopwafels from a supermarket or a vendor at a local market. No crazy toppings, just plain. And we don't queue to get them.
