Simon your name will last forever for the history for the great job you are doing and the new movement your are bringing is just too great great great.........infinity
Simon Sinek teaches me that every video, to an absolute sum is that the best drives for growth are people and the quality with which we handle them. I would love to meet him one day.(One can dream)
mapalo chibwe That’s an excellent way of summing it up, and you’re absolutely right. I would love to meet him too. This man is exactly what the corporate world needs these days.
If you want employees to invest themselves when working for you, they have to be the priority in your business. What's interesting is the results will often still follow, because those people will be more willing to go the extra mile to deliver results
Absolutely correct. Leaders are not emerging in the industry by skill but are placed by preference and favoritism. My workplace is a perfect example of 18th century working culture where big corporation is functioning like a family business.
Hey Simon & team - TY for sharing these videos on various topics. The insightful tips/hints regarding certain topics are EXTREMELY important so plz keep bringing this high content. Empathy, compassion & respect are the top 3 characteristics that I look for in potential candidates to bring into our companies. For me, its all about the employees and how they are trained & coached. I see the lack of training & coaching everyday in many companies,;grocery stores, restaurants, some hotels, etc in the form of lack of communication and how to treat the customer (or maybe the staff member is having an off day). Glad you are tackling this subject. All the Very BEST from Vancouver, Canada!!
so true, i have been a team member of some bad leadership. Not one time did i fault the leaders, i became more empathic as i seen them struggle in this area and was able to provide a listen ear and silent and soft wisdom.
Simon Sinek is back at Microsft, hopefully, they give him a surface this time. I wonder how things have changed since the last time. Brilliant points raised!
First of all and the most important is the way you treat the other people . People who work for you , your friends , family even people you do not know . Those things we should teach all children around the world because they are the future .
I literally was told from HR during an interview that “you care to much about people and not enough for the company “. Aren’t the people the company? 🙄
I get that as a Christian my dad tells me worry about yourself your to worried about others. I don't get that mindset. I would go crazy worrying and caring about myself all the time.
Around 1:50 in the video, Theres a slight on screen blackout. Could just be me though. Beyond that, I love this message so so so so much!!! This is exactly what I try to emphasize and seeing your teachings, I feel so justified. Thank you Simon.
My manager used “leading as a servant with empathy” over the past 6 months he’s gone from always negative to possibly the best boss I’ve ever had to date. He shared his secret with me “leading with empathy for your employees”. Every morning he builds up the team with genuine compliments and gives everyone a chance to speak. He takes the time to speak with me 1 on 1 and has completely phased out his previously confrontational style of management. It is such an amazing transformation that it’s brought me to this video. Being that I’m constantly trying to improve myself, I will now commence to watch 1000 videos on this subject and listen to audio books on my commute. My biggest hurdle is perception and reactive emotions to what I perceive. I’ve combed the internet to solve my issue. Stoicism was my last 1000 video, 30 book period of my life. This will now fill my time. Thank you!
We are Humen being Take a look at one another and simple love one another we are created it for one another so care one another and show more kindness True Love i beliave in you beliave in one another i wish you all to succed in all Things i pray that you all prosseper in all Things and all you do GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND KEEP YOU ALL ALWAYS I LOVE YOU ❤️🙌🙏👍
"Where can I find one of these companies?" How can a company show people it has a healthy culture as a way to attract the best, because those who are good at their job you get to choose. How can one market this? Without that step, a large scale cultural change is impossible.
I am still in the same position as the Information security manager I was wrong in choosing not a masters and lessons I also mean I am still in my same position
Our company just had a traumatic two rounds of retrenchments. I've never seen our staff happier, as the ones that remain are now. I don't see how the concept of survival of the fittest is old-fashioned.
@Mafia's Finest TV I think that employers face changes in market conditions- and often have limited cash. If as a company owner I lost a big contract, and had staff levels for a big contract, it would make sense to resize.
Leaders are born not made leaders are born as diamonds in the rough and are polished through additional training but nevertheless they are are still diamonds
My manager needs to hear what you teach but would never listen to you in general. However she would side with everyone that wants to discredit you because people complain you (Simon) weren't a manager so your expertise cannot be trusted. Had suicidal thoughts multiple times at work and and at home after being bullied or snapped at from a manager that has no problem hurting my feelings and making my life miserable. Glad I kept my psychological diagnosis a secret from management, my manager would have used it against me. I lost family members, had health issues, and everything in between in my personal life and was so depressed that I spent a year in bed when not at work or doing something essential. My manager doesn't compliment me or thank me. She would walk in front of a bus before saying anything positive about me to anyone else. And, she is nice to everyone but mistreats me and the occasional others in secret when no one else is around. No one believes she is heartless, but she truly is. I will take to the grave all the crap that she did. Nothing will ever make me forget. She doesn't have empty and can say or do horrendous things to me while having perfect peace about it. Even now that she got off my back, I am terrified about her snapping even worse than ever before She will never understand how many times she made me wish I was never born. Couldn't leave the job but at the time leaving the world didn't seem so bad. She will always get away with unkindness and heartless.
So connected to the human conditions...and his approach couldn’t be more human

Caring about people around us makes us a leader irrespective of whether we have a company or not. 😁😁

“We speak in the order of our priority”-- YES! & I have yet to have seen or worked for any large institution that cares for its employees.
Simon, and the message he sends, are amazing. I hope more companies listen to this.

This is an awesome short snippet. I am so inspired by you Mr. Sinek. There is hope for our world if we would just adopt these principles.

I know how that feel

I got fired as a server for "caring too much" ..Blah.
HR... this is a department that needs a software update!

Thank you, Simon. Brilliant!
Thanks for your inspirational video. It takes away the behavior of pure selfishness.
where could I find the full video of this speech ?
This is so true, but most people don’t get it - in coding / app development we reverse things now...”test driven development”

"Where can I find one of these companies?"
How can a company show people it has a healthy culture as a way to attract the best, because those who are good at their job you get to choose. How can one market this? Without that step, a large scale cultural change is impossible.
It's quite simple really!
Start one!
Branding, videos from the people at the company on TH-cam / LinkedIn etc
Costco my friend.
Coming from First Hand experience.
Costco.
How about we align legal, laws with ethics
Why work with a company that does layoffs?
Everyone does it?
Very interesting. Thank you!
Fantastic Simon !! As usual.
Thank you Simon. This was indeed valuable.
I am waiting for Raisa for so long. We are supposed to go outside to buy groceries and for a walk as well . This girl drives me crazy
Loved it.
You are so the man Simone. :-)
They still give you the gold watch, it’s from the dollar store,You know cut backs.
I am still in the same position as the Information security manager I was wrong in choosing not a masters and lessons I also mean I am still in my same position
Awesome piece of content but leveling the audio would be nice 👍🏼 your mic was too low then the outro blew out my ears
Think it started in the 80s? What about Frederick Winslow Taylor? Why did we need Dale Carnegie?

@Mafia's Finest TV no, there are still plenty bad ones. But the retrenchments did not dampen the spirit.
@Mafia's Finest TV average culture. I see retrenchments as a stubbed toe. It bothers you for a while, and then you forget about it.
@Mafia's Finest TV I think that employers face changes in market conditions- and often have limited cash. If as a company owner I lost a big contract, and had staff levels for a big contract, it would make sense to resize.
