Italy and Sicily are so beautiful. The colors of the buildings…the light…everything. Gorgeous.

Arid and dry. Not surprising from a region that doesn't receive much rain. No trees in the streets. People ignore the fact that before the War, Sicily, and much of southern Italy, was stricken with Malarial Mosquitos. Certain marshes outside of Rome were notorius for that, and Benito Mussilini was instrumental in helping drain them. Neverthess, before the introduction of pesticides, Southern Italy had a problem with Malaria.

Quando siamo andati a Noto abbiamo mangiato una granita con brioche per colazione più prima di partire una cassata e un gelato. Buonissimi!!!❤

Many thanks Jessi and Alessio - wonderful video! Especially liked to see the beach club - much easier and more convenient than having to carry in your own umbrella, chairs, food, drinks, etc to the beach. ☀️⛱️

    • @pcac0004

an interesting thing is that Malta was also very heavily damaged by the 1693 earthquake. Many buildings in both Sicily and Malta are built in the same Sicilian Baroque style and so look very similar

I was born and raised in Italy and I was blessed to be able to spend all summers in Sicily (Marzamemi. 25 Km south from Noto).
In 1998 I moved to Canada because of my career.
Now I am literally going crazy because I REALLY want to move back and live in Sicily but I have no idea how to go about it. My work (which I like) is in Canada and I have no idea what I could do for a living in Sicily.
    I feel trapped 😪 I kooooooove Sicily.

I love your videos, you're such a sweet couple! I can't wait to visit Sicilia! One thing I would prefer is if you narrate rather than write the information on the video, as I usually watch/listen to it, whilst doing other things, so if the background is only music a lot of key information is missed.

Thank you so much for bringing Sicily back to me (so to speak). I lived there long ago when I was in the military yet there were so many places I didn't visit. Looking forward to your next visits.
Btw, you two are like one of those overly-good-looking couples who could pose for photographs they use to sell picture frames.
