dont expect the halo 2 and 3 artstyle though... this looks like it is updating the classic forerunner structures with the 343 aesthetic(nothing wrong with that) also I am seriously hoping that for the sake of continuity they use the halo 5 master chief armor in the actual game

Yeah, never thought they would go back to classic armour. Honestly, i never hated Chief's new armour, i just wished all of the other armour sets emulated Bungie's style more. Now lets hope the game plays more like classic Halo too.

It’s the old armour but you can see it’s a lot more detailed with Reach like marines and Halo 4 warthogs.
And the towers on the installation looks like the new forerunner artstyle.

I know they are capable of making it great again and drawing the original fan base back to the series. They just need to take their time and use all resources and focus!

Stangle true, and I’m still a little skeptical myself, but after seeing how they made halo wars 2 look like how we wanted and we also haven’t heard anything from them since 5 which means they have been working, I’m getting a little hopeful. You can’t expect to have a good game without a little faith in the developers. Trust me 343 knew they fucked up with the single player from 5 but the multiplayer was great honestly. They just need to make a solid campaign with the original design but amazing graphics which it looks like they are already going doing since they got a new engine. I agree that we should look to see if they put their money where their mouths are, but don’t lose hope before we even see anything, they just announced it.
Stangle by "promising" I mean that the possibilities are... infinite. What is this? Is it an open world Halo game, like Far Cry series? Does it simply have open levels without being fully open world? Or is it literally a copy of Anthem/Destiny, which is closer to an MMO?
We don't know, but a large, beautiful world with its own wildlife, in a new engine and with a classic art style is a great start towards something better than Halo 5.

The crowd got so happy when they started realizing it was Halo, and oh boy when they saw the helmet, I couldn't stop myself from smiling, even though I had already seen the trailer.
This game legitimate seems like it's gonna be great.

Alberto Tonon every Halo fan out there is happy. I was watching the E3 live and when i saw this i had my doubts it was Halo till i saw that helmet and then i almost cried. I think almost every fan had to cry atleast we had to smile and be happy
343 couldn't really afford to keep going in their own direction with halo indefinitely now could they, I'm surprised they didn't realise being partners with bungie as they where, buy they tried. we should respect that.

I played Infinite yesterday, campaign and multiplayer and it's still bare bones in content compared to what it should be, is missing 90% of the rest of Halo's sandbox, looks nothing like this trailer (granted I was playing on console), doesn't have deserts or beaches, campaign map only lets you explore a tiny section of the ring, customization is extremely overpriced across the board, no Exuberant Witness AI voice, a very obviously rushed campaign, hit or miss writing, no satisfying follow through or conclusions from thw previous campaign, and split screen multiplayer that FULLY WORKS that they hid from us for god knows what reason. The game is good and fun but don't pretend like it isn't a sliver of the game it should've been.

Don't know anything about the game. For all we know mutliplayer could be canned, and its a battle royal only style multiplayer and a open world campaign. By the looks of the maps they are huge so definitely sprint is still in. Not getting my hopes up but yes it does look nice visually.

This is a really good teaser. You get slight hints of what the game is, and more and more clues up until the helmet reveal.
This is what made Halo different from the other FPS shooters back in Combat Evolved, large open missions where you could tackle it how you wanted but not get lost in a fucking maze like in Doom, but not as linear as CoD, Halo is redefining itself
