A year later and still no indication of any kind how, why or if this is a “signature” Mastodon amp. What’s the nature of the partnership? Did they have a hand in the redesign? It felt as if Bill actively avoided getting into detail in that Anderton’s video and the Brent video obviously tells us nothing either. It’s like it was an April Fools joke or something. We find out Brent was using 2 Sheriff 44’s, and then shortly after they used Brent and Bill to announce the Mk2, but then complete radio silence. Which sucks because I own an old Sheriff 22 and it just doesn’t work for Mastodon at all and hates boost pedals, so I would’ve loved to hear more details about how they revoiced/fixed this and especially how Brent was involved and his history with the previous model.
Heya, both Brent and Bill use Victory on the road, while neither of them were involved in the design of the Sheriff range, Brent did use a Super Sheriff prototype on the road, now Brent uses a Super Sheriff and Bill a Super Kraken live. The older Sheriff 22 and 44 were not amps the band used, the updated ones are more to their liking. Thanks Victory
to be honest the sheriff v4 pedal was the only one i really didn`t like at all and send it back, i kept the jack, kraken, copper and just love them ..but at the end of the day, he just uses his old ibanez tubeking for all of his recordings again🎸🙏
