    Important Warning
In certain countries, (specifically, Nordic countries), is it totally forbidden to open up any electronic equipment or to work on them at all unless you are a fully qualified and approved technician.
Please check the laws in your country and do not attempt to change valves/tubes or re-bias the amplifier if the law forbids this.
In this case, please take your amplifier to a qualified and approved electronics technician.
In certain countries it is also totally forbidden to keep or place any liquids on top of the amplifier, (e.g.,beer, water bottles, glass, drinks etc). This may cause serious electric shocks and/or dangerous situations.
Even if it is not a law in your country, you should never allow liquids near the amplifier or attempt to use the amplifier if it has been subjected to any moisture as this could result in a fatal electric shock.

Thanks for making this video. Very informative. I have an amp with valve issues. It’s under warranty and Thomanns has been superb to deal with.
    Cheers from NZ 😎🎸🤘

Useful And informative, it's always good to de-mystify some of the voodoo about valve amps.

I have a Marshall DSL 40, I changed the main tubes with some new Tung-Sol EL34 Tubes. The highest I could get them to was around 24. Did I get some bad tubes?

I bought a v140 a few years ago. Just changed all tubes today, and the damn bias ports on the back don't read anything 😢. Never had to use them before so I don't know if it came from the factory not working or something happened between or my tester probes are not going in far enough, but they are like an inch long. Idk . I'm bummed out. I just keeped the bias where it was and hope for the best. Sounds good.

Biasing was easier on the V30 MKII when I had to do it👍

If you put new valves in that are the same as the originals, do you need to rebias?

Yes, it is something we recommend, sometimes even the same type of tubes can have some differences, Thanks Victory
