Another wonderful King family project. This planter is perfect and I think I most definitely need one to plant some strawberries in. Thanks for sharing.
Great idea! Like the fact it can easily moved around. When I was taught working, we called it 'save the line' to ensure we were keeping the board the correct side. Great you are teaching him....he's got one great teacher!
Another great video and a very useful planter. I really enjoy watching your videos, you narrate like a great instructor. You must be feeling really good that your daughter is coming back and working with you.
James I absolutely love you videos. Yours is my favorite channel and I enjoy watching your entire family working together. You brought my love for woodworking back to life a few years ago and I really want to say thank you!
This is a great project. You need to add some kind of drainage to the planters so the water doesn't sit and rot the pickets. Either some holes in the poikets or a slight gap in the bottom between them. But still a terrific build.
Hi James and family. Wow, an amazing planter unit 👌. I really enjoyed this build. You made it look so easy, perhaps it is 😅. As always, great video content and narration. Stay safe and God Bless 🙏. Love and peace from a cold winters day in South Africa.
This will be wonderful with about 3 along the fence with strawberries! Now to put my hubby to work cause lord knows he doesn’t have nearly enough work already!
Another great video Mr James! Thanks for the info! Just wanted to ad check Direct Tools Ridgid 18gauge nailer always goes on sale around holidays pick one up about $40.00 they are part of TTI that make Ridgid Ryobi an Milwaukee 😊
Have you had problem with direct sunlight and reflective heat from the concrete or wall .. Was wondering if they may need a shade cloth. Oh and how often would you need to hydrate.. not sure how drying that wood would be? Nice work. Thank you.
another great project, James, I have ordered many items from you. I am back in my shop from a long stay in the hospital. I would like to get the plans for the three level planter. as a veteran, do I still get a discount, as before? Please let me know, I'm anxious to get started. thank you.Ken Boren
I see you have acouple of those grippers for pushing wood through a table saw. How do you like them? I have two for cutting narrow strips. Haven't used them yet but I'm sure they'll be fine.
Should I drill two or three holes (1/4 inch) in the bottom for drainage? Also, what are the different sizes of the screws you use?...ie #8, #10...etc. What type of screw did you use to mount the wheels? Thanks for any help.
First time viewer, thanks for the video. Excellent presentation, and you teach very well - Just purchased these plans. May I suggest a video for a toddler '3 in 1 High Chair, Rocking Horse, Desk'.
Hi, likely not. Solid wood is a little not prone to warping as temperature and humidity change, plus you’ll have a much harder time finding dead flat pieces to begin with.
Great concept for a planter, definitely superior to the weaker designs out there. Plus, I've always loved the 'constructed dado' method, and was glad to see it put to good use. Regarding the workbench wheels, I'd love sometime to see your treatment of a set of those shopmade extending/retracting casters, where you raise the cabinet or whatever a half inch for rolling, by mounting small casters to a hinged board, which uses a lever to straighten the board, in turn pushing the caster down and the cabinet up. Figuring the angles (unless you buy someone's plans) has always been hit or miss, trial and error. I think with your expertise in multiple fields, you could pull back the covers and show how to plan those angles on paper, with the underlying geometry. That would really be something to know, and I can think of no better teacher to impart that knowledge.
Just a quick question; you mentioned using a #6 X 11/2" SS finishing screw on the pickets. The video shows that they are Zinc, will these cause black drip marks on the cedar? Thanks.
James, help! I want to buy the plans for the 3 tier planter. I've tried to order but, no # was sent to my phone when making the purchase. Now, I'm told my 3 chances are up. I've used the same card last week without problem. What shall I do? I'm just a problem child! TY!
That’s true. Luckily mine is in a secured backyard with a locked 7’ security fence & gate, and the property has cameras and a security system because my shop is in my back yard. Haha.

My cousin asked me to do something similar to this the other day, I said I'd have to plan something out. Thank you for some inspiration.

Good project for a gardener. Easy to build and cheap. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
Great work and inspiration for a beginning woodworker! Thanks 🙏
Great project, Mr. King!!!
Thank you!
King uncle, you're the best!
I'm loving the wheels on there as everything I have to do alone and it's usually heavy!
Really nice, James. I really like the simplicity of the construction.

Another great project. Sometimes I think you own stock in the glue company but it’s great!
Great project video, James~! This is exactly what I'm looking for to make for my daughter to put on her apartment balcony.
As always an excellent video and project.
Thank you!
Another great video, You did very well. This looks so good.👏👏

Well this one is pretty easy, so have him make you a couple! 😊👍🏻
@@KingsFineWoodworking I’ve already sent it to him, he’s been binge watching your videos, he says no one’s plans compare to yours.

Did u ever make the plans for the baby rocking chair
Yes! Filming them right now. They kids rocker will be released this weekend.
@@KingsFineWoodworking love your projects keep them coming 🙏👍
Lol. Its funny. I've bought everything in your ultimate outdoor pack except the kids' chairs.
Awesome! Thank you!
@Kings Fine Woodworking you are most welcome. And that you for the excellent content.
Tell your wife her dress is super cute!

Thank you! I’ll look into your project idea. I’ve never heard of that 3 in 1 toddler setup. I’ll have to google it.
Good looking design. Although i would probably not double up the 2x4 on the legs. They look too imposing to me.
Tried to look up this lumber or something similar to it and Home Depot in my area doesn’t carry this wood at all
I have a guestion it is on your torsion box top assembly table. You used plywood for the grid my question is would 1x4 or 1x6 be just as good

Wow, 1.98 per cedar pucket??? I just paid 3.48 and thiught I'd got a good deal. They had been $5.00 ea.
No. They were $2.98.
But you’re right cedar has come down some. I sure wish it would drop a lot more.

Hi,
I found your account and just sent you an email.
Do you sell plans for the 3 tier planter box?
Hi, yes. Here is a link. Thanks!

☹It won't ship to me in Ohio!!
So where are the chains to secure it to the house cuz these puppys will get stolen quick. Two people could just carry it off.

@@KingsFineWoodworking I did a planter for a lady along time ago. She filled it up with dirt and did the planting. Two days later it was gone.

Where is the camera 'brat'?
I hope all is well with you and yours.
$400 WHEN I CAN JUST MAKE IT MYSELF AT HOME FOR $60?!?!?!??
