Don't get too distracted and make sure to be aware of your environment while playing, don't be tempted to go into dangerous locations for the game, and DON'T attempt to play while driving- for some examples.

I love games with this jank pixelated art style it. I don’t know if this still counts as ps1 era graphics but I imagine you could make some seriously deep games using this art style with todays level of game development skill. It’d be like a weird ps1/4 game hybrid.

There's something about this game's interface that's really unnerving. Kinda makes sense considering how many people have got into accidents irl playing normal equivalents to this game.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more horror games inspired by Pokemon Go, I feel there's a lot of potential with that idea and this game shows that quite well. Some cool scary monster designs and good atmosphere, and it works.

as much as I'm a fan of "government being threatened" games, the scariest bit about this was when my headphones glitched out and manly's voice came through like a demon
The story of the game is kind of all over the place (Save the city or we all die but if you do then we'll sacrifice you). That said, it picks a really untapped theme of AR games and really combines the mechanics well. Clicking on the screen for AR ghosts, bringing out the flashlight, and taking pictures are all neat play tools and fit really well with the smartphone theme. I particularly like the inclusion of the statue as an surprise enemy to mix things up in that area. Two nitpicks would be maybe having the train interact with the phone more and making getting new instructions slightly less dangerous. If the game were longer, it would be cool to see a decaying over time situation where the innocent city AR game becomes more and more sinister. Maybe have an ambiguity whether the app is responsible for the state of the city or the last bastion of defense against it.

Being a game for a jam in just one month while living our real life we didn't have much time to make the transition finer and longer, but I hope it was still fun and creepy.

How is that "all over the place"? It's a pretty classic case of group versus an individual's welfare. Altruism versus selfishness.

Honestly manly is one of my favorite let's players. There's my man markiplier and all but he has a very different system of videos and playing games. I love how manly finishes all these games and does all the endings and gives us all the info of the game. Also manly u upload videos multiple times a day sometimes like damn. You give me tons of amazing content to enjoy and help me push away the depression. Your content keeps me going 💕
Manly doesn't always get all the endings or even play all the routes, consider Omori's Hikikomori route, he didn't play that. Sometimes he also doesn't get all endings since, I assume, he doesn't know they exist. However, not to detract from Manly's videos. I absolutely love them and he's much more of a completionist than most Let's Players, which I definitely appreciate.

Neat design with the monster holding one eye in its hand like how you hold your phone that lets you "see" into the game world.
Kinda funny that it's a geo location game within the game but in PS1 graphics in which that stuff didn't exist at the time.

Love these kinds of concept where settings are in a ordinary & familiar everyday place but at the same time so utterly distorted, making you wonder if you really know the place as well as you think- similar to Silent Hill. & it really does well messing with players psychologically as it gives the false sense of security you're subconsciously trying to deny but knew deep down nothing there is safe
as an avid pokego player, i really enjoyed this! really reminds me of my jaunts downtown to do events, and captures AR horror well. the ps1 graphics work well with this. i like the train monster most since it makes me think of the early game accidents where ppl wouldn't look where they're going, to the point where pokego put in warnings in their loading screen.
too bad the player didnt carry an extra battery pack. rookie mistake.

The creepy part about this game that we all know at a deep level that our phones are constantly spying on us and trying to control us. This game just reminds me in places they have a "social" credit system so you have to be a "good" citizen. Welcome to the future it's the year 1984
This makes me wonder why we don't have any Digimon creepypasta horror games. Isn't Bandai less protective than Nintendo too? I mean, I get this game wasn't actually Pokemon related at all, but the Ending 1-of-4 kinda reminded me of digi-world teleportation or whatever and there were plenty of digimon creatures that would be terrifying if found in an environment like this game. - even without any body-horror edits.
