Not only is this mod a absolute work of art, I noticed something about Sans section that Ryan was confused about. It’s a nice touch that with the Mechanics turned off you can still see the spots where the attacks would take place and they remove parts so things make more sense (like how in the 3rd Week 1 song Cuphead hits Mugman normally but if you turned off the dodge Mugman gets to be fine UwU)
Another great mod for the FNF community, that actually does justice to the OG FNF in terms of creativity with the stages and mechanics, music, and character. I love how they took their time to re-draw and animate BF in the various indie game styles to make him fit in more, well done.
If you were confused as to why the song "sansational" didn't put you into the "battle mode" from undertale is because that only happens with you attack him (sans) before that part. Doing so will also unlock the "genocide song" (my personal favorite of his songs). You also need to beat that genocide song to access Sans's bonus song to unlock his nightmare song. I definitely think you should come back to this mod. It's so much fun to watch you play! And if you ever do come back to this mod, I hope this helps. :)
Don’t forget the Cutscenes! They were Absolutely Phenomenal! Let’s take a moment to appreciate the Masterpiece that the Group/Mod Has brought to us! I’m also looking forward To seeing what other bangers they make in the future!
Bendy is actually VERY generous with the health drain. Most mods with health drain will either kill you outright or leave you with no health left. I'm pretty sure that you can actually miss a note and still live with the remaining health at minimum health from the drain I did not notice that the ink cloud puts you at the true minimum health before you die which sucks.
For the songs with he mechanics, you can rebind the dodge and attack buttons in the settings so they'll be easier to press when using the arrow keys. Either that or change your arrow key binds to something that's easier to press the default dodge and attack buttons
@@AdrieJ06 Because it's what they're used to, keep in mind that they don't play the game as often as most of us tend to do so the idea of changing key binds never really crosses their mind.
Also to add on to my previous comment, more often than not, they don't particularly play lots of rhythm games so any knowledge about good key binds is just not all that known to them.
This is probably the best FNF mod. There’s so much care put into every week, every song is a banger, the animations and cutscenes are awesome, like goddamn the people who made this REALLY didn’t have to go so hard
Agree, also did anyone realize that in Nightmare Run if you are loosing Bendy gets closer but if your winning he slows down. Also there's more songs that 8-BitRyan didn't play, like Bad-To-The-Bone, Burning-In-Hell, Gose, Saness. Maybe the Nightmare songs are going to be in the next episode or next video.
I think he should do a second part where he plays with mechanics, as he missed quite a bit of the experience without them. I would personally like to see him try the Genocide route of the Undertale week.
There was a lot he missed in the bonus songs for sure. Namely the fire arrows from Satanic Funkin, and the unannounced axe throw from Sammy in Ritual. Would've been funny to see him react to that.
Hey, Ryan, I'd recommend returning to this mod. It got a patch recently, adding a new 'mechanic difficulty' option. You can choose to keep the mechanics in, just with less insta-kill stuff (with those mechanics now just dealing some damage instead), known as 'Standard Mode'. Standard mode also adds a more noticeable cue for when you should dodge Cuphead's Big Blast attack, fixes the problem of the ink notes being hard to see sometimes during Nightmare Run, and makes the attack option in Last Reel cool down quicker, being a 3-second cooldown, rather than 5-second.. You can also select 'Hell Mode', which keeps the mechanics exactly the same as before, insta-kills and all, if you're going for score, or just want a nice challenge. Standard Mode also applies to the Nightmare songs as well, so it'll make things easier when you get around to trying those out. I can't wait to see you give this mod another shot, Ryan. Thanks for the great content.
i just realized that there is couple seconds of a soundtrack called "Enigmatic Encounter" which is from last breath here it is: 18:00 and ends at 18:03
There IS a warning for the cuphead dodges. It's on Cuphead's side of the chart, he'll have 4 parry notes at once when he's about to use an ex move. Edit: also all buttons can be rebound. You can take dodge off space. Edit 2: additionally, cuphead has a second ex move that you have to dodge twice, with the tell being only 2 parry notes on his side instead of 4.
You KNOW Ryan likes it when he makes an HOUR LONG VIDEO with superb editing and gameplay. He truly has a passion for this, and this video shows that. He even put chapters for everything.
If you're planning to play this whole entire thing again with the full experience, I'd recommend use A, S, right and down arrow for the keybinds or just "d f j k"or maybe "a s k l" this way, you can click the shift and space button easier with your thumb and the shift with your pinky
yeah i use DFJK and i've been doing just fine. I've been able to beat cuphead and sans (on pacifist) but not bendy or genocide sans with the mechanics on .-.
I'm afraid that when the full game actually releases it's not gonna be nearly as good as all the mods that have been made for it. Hopefully it'll live up to the hype! These modders are WILD lol.
Ryan, you're such a joy to watch. You're always positive, and crack some of the best jokes. Your editing is wonderful, top quality videos, you deserve more.
10:57 FYI: you are really good at this game, it's just that the default keybinds for dodging and attacking expect the player to be on something different than the arrow keys, like DFJK. This reason is because a lot of FNF players have moved on to DFJK as it is a lot easier to press a specific button when they are in a straight line. You are just experienced with the arrow keys. However, you can rebind the attack and dodge buttons to your liking (it should have given you an option to change those settings when you pressed story mode) Also, don't worry, a lot of us died to Knockout first attempt, as it takes a while to understand how Cuphead's EX attacks work. And don't blame yourself for turning off mechanics on Whoopie and especially Nightmare Run, the mechanics are what makes parts of these songs hard. Also first you should do when revisiting is attack Sans. There are two songs locked behind doing that, one is a base song and another is a bonus song.
For me honestly, i also prefer to use WSD and Up arrow, i infact got so used to it that i cant move to other keybinds. And because of how greatly the space and shift is located for this loadout, i did last reel and knockout first try. Tho am really bad at mines, so sans took me 30 or more tries. Nonetheless, its an amazing mod and i wait for more!

The thing that blows my mind with this mod is that it has almost the exact same amount of songs as the original Fnf!(I've counted 20 songs in this mod, and there's 21 in Fnf. That, combined with how replay-able it is is just such a treat. Amazing video on this mod, and I'd love to see your come back to tackle some of them with the mechanics turned on. Bro, I know! I heard that and I ligit freaked out. Hollow Knight is such a good game that not many people know about so I was so excited when I heard the scream XD
Oh my god your right. I only recently finished Hollow Knight and I had no idea until I played that clip side by side with The Hollow Knight final boss. Good ears man. Shovel Knight is whos next in the list of Nightmare characters but hopefully they get to a Hollow Knight character soon.
I think it would be Hollow Knight and Radiance, maybe hornet, but when I heard that scream, I was literally telling the game to put in hollow knight (I was expecting it already but it was still a surprise).
Ryan: I'm singing the lyrics in my heads guys Me: hahahaha great minds think alike it's been ages since I heard but I remember most of it and was also singing it in my head
I'm definitely not judging you for not doing all the mechanics - I'm fairly experienced with these rythm games and can do most normal maps without too much effort (well, up until stuff like Ghost in the Camellia mod..) but these mechanics really are pretty hard to get down - Knockout took me like 15 tries, and at the other ending for sans, the harder one with all the mechanics I kinda just gave up with one really annoying double hit after the black & white part edit: just beat the Nightmare version :))
I did pretty well on every song. Every one of them took me 3-4 attempts maximum. But Genocide took me 15 tries but that was because my hands were cold. After warming them up I beat him first try. I couldn't get Nightmare run though but I think I was just tired because my eyes caught these notes pretty badly. Tomorrow I'll try a second time on my full potential
The beginning of Whoopee is a reference to what Sans says in Undertale, he had said that he wondered why people never used their strongest attack first. The bone notes are a reference to Undertale's mechanic, Blue means stay still, Orange means move, either way it's still hard knowing how to use the bone notes. You're in for a treat with the Nightmare Songs if you return for them. (with mechanics that is)
@@RuoynujMail0925 i played all the bonus songs with no mechanics on an older version, forgot which version, but i didnt turn them back on and still played the nightmare songs with mechanics
I wish the microphones the opponents held would differ depending on the character and the game. For example, Sammy in Ritual should have held an old microphone from the 30s. Cuphead should have held something from the 80s. And Sans should have had a bone microphone, though the modern one works too ig
Cuphead would actually have a mic based from the 1930s, since the game is based on old 1930s cartoons. But I gotta agree, it would definitely help with the vibe of each week

The only mod that really challenges it in my opinion is The Trollge files(or the Blueballs Incident). That’s also an incredible experience, but more for the story than the crazy mechanics.
I absolutely loved this mod. I dont think anyone will argue with me that this was one of the best mods we have gotten in a long time. The animation, art, dialogue and actions between characters and even the voice acting, rememrable songs being played within the melody for that nostalgia feeling and even stickman being in the background for bendy is all just great. I can go on and on XD I only got to play cup head a little bit cause my friends brother owned the disc and I could only play it if he visited. Bendy i played all the way through, undertale I haven't played but i know all about cause I watched gameplay.
I recognize the reference to Hollow Knight in this mod that being the scream at the end of the credits is used during certain boss battles during the game. My thoughts are that one of the games that will be added to this mod will be Hollow Knight, though I'm just assuming that it'll get added due to the scream and the fact it's another really popular indie game.
as ryan said, they really thought of everything. not only did they have a different ending, which in itself is pretty damn cool for an fnf mod, the death screens are different which is also amazing but what really got me is the fact that in song 3 week 1, mugman doesn't show up and get hit by cupheads blue flame because ryan turned off the mechanics, preventing the blue flames from being fired. they really did think of everything
Wow. The cutscenes in this mod are amazing!! The creators did a fantastic job with it. In a weird, backwards way, it kind of reminds me of the trollge files mod. Specifically the updated one. Edit: i was not expecting the music to Nosk from Hollow Knight in one of the cutscenes. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Bendy is actually VERY generous with the health drain. Most mods with health drain will either kill you outright or leave you with no health left. I'm pretty sure that you can actually miss a note and still live with the remaining health at minimum health from the drain
I did not notice that the ink cloud puts you at the true minimum health before you die which sucks.
For the songs with he mechanics, you can rebind the dodge and attack buttons in the settings so they'll be easier to press when using the arrow keys. Either that or change your arrow key binds to something that's easier to press the default dodge and attack buttons
My keys were DFJK and I changed attack buttons to S and L.
@@Thy_Punishment_Is_OOF same, I just treated the songs like they were 7 key songs, it was (somewhat) easy at that point
Why is it that youtubers always just use the default arrow keys to play and not rebind to to something much easier
That "good lord" at 31:25 is amazing
It’s such a high quality mod- the talent of these people never ceases to amaze me

Original comment right here
I think he should do a second part where he plays with mechanics, as he missed quite a bit of the experience without them. I would personally like to see him try the Genocide route of the Undertale week.
Yeah without mechanics it's just the demo with mechanics you get the full experience
the first week needs the mechanics to truly experience it, like the part where mugman dies, or doesn't depending on if you dodge the attack or not.
There was a lot he missed in the bonus songs for sure. Namely the fire arrows from Satanic Funkin, and the unannounced axe throw from Sammy in Ritual. Would've been funny to see him react to that.
True
Yea I wanna see him react to dead Mugman
The dodge cue still appears in hell mode on Knockout
There is already a pretty noticeable cue for cuphead. It becomes pretty obvious that parry notes means cupheads gonna kill ya.
Why did you write all that for
Another type of DFJK is QWOP
Honestly it’s funny that it actually always gave you a hint in the form of cuphead having parry notes when he’s about to special attack
i just realized that there is couple seconds of a soundtrack called "Enigmatic Encounter" which is from last breath
here it is: 18:00 and ends at 18:03
WOW! Its amazing to see how all mods evovle into better and better. (Nice vid btw)
I’m surprised people don’t see that
@@Helentar I understand perfectly. It takes a LOT of focus to hit all those rapid strings of notes.
It’s a lot harder seeing it while playing then while watching someone else, however the mod seemed easy enough, not tryna flex 😂😂😂😎

33:35-33:50 That man was getting INTENSE!!! Concentrated 8-Bit Ryan. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Respect.
However, you can rebind the attack and dodge buttons to your liking (it should have given you an option to change those settings when you pressed story mode)
Also, don't worry, a lot of us died to Knockout first attempt, as it takes a while to understand how Cuphead's EX attacks work.
And don't blame yourself for turning off mechanics on Whoopie and especially Nightmare Run, the mechanics are what makes parts of these songs hard. Also first you should do when revisiting is attack Sans. There are two songs locked behind doing that, one is a base song and another is a bonus song.
true, i couldnt beat knockout at first for a day or 3
For me honestly, i also prefer to use WSD and Up arrow, i infact got so used to it that i cant move to other keybinds.
And because of how greatly the space and shift is located for this loadout, i did last reel and knockout first try.
Tho am really bad at mines, so sans took me 30 or more tries.
Nonetheless, its an amazing mod and i wait for more!

Mugaman was supposed to get shot by Cuphead at this part. But since you turned off the mechanics, you didn't get to see that.
