    A highly detailed review, of which I enjoyed every second.
    Props to the presenter.
    I have a basic 2015 model, which I enjoy driving, more than my premium German car, believe it or not!

    Driving at too low speeds and high gears destroys the gearbox and the dual-mass clutch. The DPF and EGR then become clogged and carbon deposits accumulate inside the engine.

    As a matter of fact they returned to the 2 liter with the 2020, or 2021 model year. Most probably for a reason.

    Hello from Greece!
    I have a Ford transit custom 2.200 cc/2013 model.
    The fuel consumption is too high in comparison with the nissan nv200 that i had before(1500cc).
    My question is:
    The trafic or vivaro with the 1600cc,
    do they saving more money from the fuel consumption?
    I ask because the engine is 1600 and not so high, 2200cc.
    If they are more economy,
    I serious thing of changing my ford for a trafic or vivaro.
    Thank you if you answer me.

    These seem like a good van. I have an expert 2009 at the moment which is very reliable… if and when I come to need a new van, I think I’ll keep these in mind!

    What do you mean regenerative braking?

    • @danielseibert4082
      @danielseibert4082 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The generator just charges the battery when braking or rolling.

      @@danielseibert4082 what battery? It's not an EV!

      @@Paul-gu2lv the 12V (starter) battery
      The van is equipted with a regulated alternator which comunicates with the ECU, bodymodul, energymodul and ABS-System.
      When the battery is charged more than I think 60-70% the alternator just charges the battery when you wont press the accelerator pedal. So only when you slow down or brake.
      If the battery is empty it charges constantly

    • @Paul-gu2lv
      @Paul-gu2lv 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@danielseibert4082 Ok, but are you taking about the regular alternator that charges the 12 volt car battery? Because regenerative braking uses electric motors on the wheels to charge electric vehicle battery. That's my understanding.

      @@Paul-gu2lv Regenerative braking simply means that the kinetic energy during braking is (partly) converted into electrical energy.
      It doesn't matter how much of the energy is converted into electricity.
      But by turning on the alternator only when braking (which also slows down the engine, since the alternator has a higher resistance when it generates electricity), a small part of the kinetic energy is converted into electrical energy.
      It's a smaller part than in an electric car, but it's still called regenerative braking.
      Normaly an alternator is producing around 14V the whole time when the engine ist running.
      With a regulated alternator whole cars electrical is powered by the battery and when you are braking the alternator is producing around 15V-16V.

      Really good van, at a good price plus it has timing chain , not belt which is great in a van, very reliable
