      @@BobandBradhas brad considered going to a Chinese herbologist & acupuncturist to help aid/compliment his treatment recovery with his condition?!? Western medicine isn’t the end all be all, being in a caregiving position for several years now & having exposure with both western & eastern medicine I must say a holistic approach is a must! Chinese medicine does work if you go to an experienced practitioner as it addresses the internal imbalances that contributes to the problem not just the symptoms & without all the added side effects of pharmaceuticals. It can be a great alternative or adjunct complimentary treatment worth exploring. I pray for brad & I hope he considers this avenue in this healing journey! God bless you both

    I'm 67 years old and do these lunges with barbells every other day. These lunges are great because they improve balance as well as strengthen hamstring, gluts and quad muscles. The toe should be well ahead of the knee to prevent excess stress on the knee.

    • @cheryldueck318
      @cheryldueck318 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely it can, @guylamullins3602. I had both as well about 6 years ago (TCH) for breast cancer. And if you are female and need to be on hormone blockers for maintenance, it’s going to continue to impact your joints, unfortunately.
      When I was going through treatment there was an exercise program that I could sign up for, that was doing a study on exercise during & after cancer. Perhaps you could find something similar in your area for some guidance?

    My understanding is that one could overdevelop the quads thus creating imbalances in the knee joint which will ultimately cause problems down the road, such as arthritis and meniscus tears/degeneration. The better exercises are ones that concentrate more on strengthening the butt (gluteus maximus/medius/minimus) muscles.
